I thought I would get my self into bitcoin just because I like decentralised, open source things.
Also, I think I might try my luck at the GLBSE, I consider my self good at stocks and stuff like that.
Also, because I use my computer for gaming and other stuff, it pays for itself in entertainment, The little mining I do has infinite profit in a sense.

Hey guys, name's Jack and I just got into Bitcoins because of how easy and simple to use they are. I absolutely hate PayPal because everyone seems to use it yet it is pretty insecure, so this seems like a great alternative. 
I'm also going to be doing some bitcoin mining on the side since my computer is quite powerful.

Hey all. Ive recently started mining. Already had a 5850 and just ordered a 5830. I figure a $110 investment isnt a terrible risk. I like the idea of bitcoin, hope to see it take off. I'll be honest and admit that I'll be happy if I'm able to mine for a bit, collect a few coins and trade them for some hardware, but looking forward to seeing where this goes.

Hello fellow bitcoin users. I first came across bitcoin a few months ago but dismissed it as a neat idea that would never go anywhere. I then came across it again about a month ago when this latest burst of press hit, which lead me to look into it more closely. I will admit that I am now completely fascinated by this concept and its enormous potential.
My primary interest is on the merchant side. I work with an investment and consulting group whose primary focus is web based businesses. The idea of an alternative to credit cards as a form of online payment has me really intrigued. The big card companies (visa/mc/amex) essentially have a monopoly on internet payments and they've been using this monopoly power in ways that are becoming increasingly unfavorable to the merchant.
I look forward to discussing this emerging technology with this community.
