But in fact, a lot of project seems not developed again by their devs. Maybe a little percent developer that really do their project. But still a lot too that do nothing after list their coins/tokens in market.

initial coin offering right now is just a bad idea to be initiated as an investor, the wisest thing to do right now in this bloody crypto market is to invest a lot of bitcoin while its price isnt skyrocketing yet, thats the best thing we can so far if you want to stay alive in the crypto world.

Investment in ICo's are more profitable though but right now I think buying BTC is safer and less risky. The way ICo's are right now, its not advisable to invest unless very very few great projects which is difficult to predict.

Yes, ICOs are not as popular as before. Many of them were discredited. The best choice now (and as for me, always) is to invest in Bitcoin. The whole market depends on this cryptocurrency.

ICO time, unfortunately, is over. Now the best solution is to invest in Bitcoin. After the crypto currency market stabilizes and regulatory standards are developed for ICO, I think a new wave will start for ICO. But right now it is better to spend your time and money on real and existing promising currencies.

In order to invest in Bitcoin, you need a good start-up capital, for projects it can in principle be minimal, but the risk is doubled. Therefore, your strategy will depend on the investment capital and its distribution.

The meaning of this correlation dictates the cycle to crypto market. ICOs are trying to repeat same ideas with adding few adjustments to new project. I prefer to buy new tokens rather than waiting the bull market for bitcoin and altcoins.

Why only have two option when you can have another one?to buy altcoins for holdings?dont you forget that cryptocurrency are composed by thousand of coins and tokens sp buying bitcoin and investing in ICO projects is not the only options you can have here so try to consider that.while ico are mostly scammers and bitcoin has a huge amount and slow moving so buying altcoins from the top 10 might be a good investing also

Investing in Bitcoin or ICO, I think there are specific strengths and risks. But if you are new, you should choose Bitcoin
I think at the moment you should invest in bitcoin, these are the reasons:

1. In the latest ICO statistics for 2018, up to 80% are fraudulent. ICO can bring a lot of profit for you, but also with a lot of risks.
2. The ICO market is saturated, Ethereum is depreciating, so the current ICO is difficult to succeed in the capital call phase
3. Bitcoin is currently being used as a method of asset storage, in the future it will become popular, Bitcoin prices are also more stable than altcoin.
4. In terms of technology development, bitcoin network has a breakthrough in transaction speed, transaction fee, typically applying Lighting Network
5. Bitcoin is always number one on CoinMarketCap
