I don't think that ICO investing is good idea.
ICO projects has many problems now. You may invest and freeze your money for 1 year or more. New projects has problems with exchanges. Invest only small part of your capital.

There some disadvantages in each one of them like if you want to invest in ICO there is a big risk in your investment but if you got lucky you earn a huge profit and if you buy BTC your less in risk but you cant earn a huge profit.
Now you should buy BTCs more safely, as the altcoins are constantly decreasing and they can be split up 10 or so low prices.

ICO investments are extremely risky for the newcomers! Take your time and get some information about the cryptocurrencies and you will know the best option for you.
I dont recommend for participating to icos, %85-90 of icos which did this year are under ico price so I dont participate to ico this year except quarkchain, if market can return to normal you can participate to icos I think.
Absolutely, investing in ICOs now is quite riskier as many of them are under the ICO price and the whole market had gone down. I don't think that it would be a smart move to participate in them currently, but till then it's quite safer to invest in established coins like BTC and ETH and hold them till the market conditions become better...

I agree that for a long time it is better to store only bitcoin or ETH, but I do not agree with the fact that now you can increase your money with the help of ICO, because now it is very risky and I think these risks are not justified high.

Right now I would't buy any BTC or alts, rather do some researching and invest in a promising ICO. With this bear market and so many scams this is a hard thing to do. High risk high reward.
