You are asking the wrong question. You shouldn't ask if you should invest now or wait but you should be daily cost averaging. This way you wont have to worry about the prices and also would avoid buying at the top. Now if you had invested when you opened this thread then you might be in red.
Overall the market is down so I believe it is a good place to start. You need to manage your risk and be ready if the market falls more. Invest cautiously.

You would probably be better off taking that Bitcoin and short it at the high peaks and then rebuy at the dips. Then give her the cash for that.
