Well i don't believe that Bitcoin is the good crypto currency for one to invest and make a very good return on his or her investment but there are several other altcoins for which one can invest his capital and make huge profit on your investment.

I think thats bullshit. It can be %40 thats okay but if u want to earn money dont invest only bitcoin. Traders trade only to increase the amount of bitcoin in their hands but they have too many altcoins also.

If you put all your eggs in one basket you have the possibility of losing everything in one swing, however bitcoin is a decent one branch investment. Anyways with sums of money below 10 -15k I believe altcoins are more suitable and profitable

If I were you I would not invest all my money in one coin. For me it is better to hold different coins. i personally prefer to hold two kind of coins; long and short term. Bitcoin is the top for sure but I also have 8 different coins too. And all of them are promising for me.

Bitcoin is the top crypto  and the most well-known name. Therefore, having a good part of portfolio in bitcoin is important.
Thereafter, invest in other top  altcoins and invest only small in high-risk ones.
Ie, do you think that the main part of all means should be kept exactly in Bitcoin Huh And you can find out ?? WHY??? Because of its popularity?

Investing solely in bitcoins alone is considerably plausible. Bitcoin is big, and if one focuses only to
concentrate on a big currency such as bitcoin is a bold and rational strategy, it's considerable though
since bitcoins is still the only currency out there with a high probability of making profits when the
market is right. But it's highly advisable to be more open minded with altcoins as well, bitcoins are
remarkable, the range in prices that it reaches is unmatched but it fluctuates almost too sudden that
it's not a good strategy if you are in greater prospects on investing. Altcoins like Ethereum are as good
as an investment as bitcoins. If you are investing into crypto, reconsider to involve altcoins with bitcoins
to increase your margin for profit.

Hello,

A question of a beginner, I read several articles that say better invest in bitcoin only (most of articles are from 2015-2016), but as bitcoin exceeds now $2500, I do not know if this rule still holds.

I want to invest a lot of money (let's say $3000), but I do not know if I have to invest only in bitcoin or other alcoins? What do you recommend?

Thank you
Bitcoin can still increase more if you desire long term investment. Of course I know you are wondering, so invest good coin like ETH, LISK, LTC, WAVES, STRATS, .... Hope luck will smile with you.

I believe when you first time get into this crypto market, everyone will suggest you to invest in Bitcoin to get high profit, but i think that is not completely true. If holding for long term is your target than holding Bitcoin and at least 1 altcoin will be much better, altcoins like ETH or Ripple has higher chance to maximize its value to the peak faster than bitcoin.

If you have a large amount, if you have no time and desire to spend time learning, you can invest only in bitcoin and etherium.

I like the idea because bitcoin is the top crypto in the market however investing your money in one basket is not advisable. I also invest big percentage of my capital in btc and so far the profit I had for more than a year is really good.

On the other hand, I believe altcoins are profitable just like btc it just depends on the potential of the coin you chose to hold. For me the more coins you have in your portfolio the more earnings will come and its less risky compared to sticking in just one coin.

I recommend that you invest only in bitcoin. I see that you are new to the crypto world, and therefore it will be hard for you to choose the right alts for investing. Don't take risks but just buy bitcoin and wait. This is a very good asset.
I do not think Bitcoin is the best option. There are many more coins that show the best performance in a percentage. For example, the same NEO.

Invest in bitcoin if you have huge amount of money because it is very expensive even now that bitcoin price is low. If you have extra money but not so much you invest it on good and potential altcoins for short or long term.

I think you shouldn't just consider investing in a single coin. It is better to spread your money in other different coins like ethereum, waves, and stratis.

every time bitcoin will be the best place to invest, I say a single investment, meaning only investing in bitcoin will give you bigger profits.

but I do not make a single investment, but I also invest in other altcoin like Ripple, NEO, and ETH.
That's the right decision. Bitcoin shouldn't be one of your single holdings, but there require some varieties on your purse. Yes, choose only reputed coin as like mentioned above.

People often say that it makes no sense to invest in other coins when the market is pegged on bitcoin.
One thing you should realise is that if you believe crypto will dominate future tech, then this will definitely change. We are already seeing this somewhat with ETH: when you look at coin charts with ETH pairings they show less coupling with BTC.
Eventually, most coins will have a variety of pairings, which will thus reduce the effect that bitcoin has.. essentially meaning that it will make less sense to invest in bitcoin as opposed to other savvy techs.
With this in mind, think.. which coins will have a stronger backing at that time? My answer is those that have interoperability functionality like Multiversum, with techs similar to fully interoparable atomic swaps.

The currency of the world is now a credit currency, the dollar corresponds to the credit of the American government, the British pound corresponds to the credit of the British empire, and the RMB corresponds to the credit of the Chinese government...

Even though the government's credibility is not so good. You can choose bitcoin at this time, and its value is based on confidence: people believe that such a system has a future and is valuable.
