I've always been watching bitcoin since mid-2013 up to now, and the market/bubble is painfully toxic. I'm not a big investor or economist, and I probably still only have superficial knowledge on how the entire blockchain systems work.

I just patiently watch the graph, and keep telling myself not to invest because everyone tells me it's a giant bubble that will someday pop. Recently, I started to run a few side businesses dealing in Bitcoin as payment methods, but I've never stored it long term and always converted it to cash.

I remember back in 2014 when I first thought of investing in Bitcoin as a long-term investment, and obviously was pressured out of it because everyone kept thinking it was a bubble that was about to burst. I'm starting to think about it again now that Bitcoin is starting to crash - and generally speaking in the past it's done quite well after crashes, recovering and increasing every once in a while.

What do you guys think? Is it worth it to give it a try? This would be my second crypto investment, and I'd be throwing in $5-10,000 at most. Any ideas?

You made a huge mistake. The price of bitcoin as of then was very low. I took that risk and I was ready to lose the money I threw in as of then, but fortunately for me I didn’t. instead of losing , I was able to make a lot profit through the increase that took place in last two years. Maybe you should take that risk now and see if it will work out for you. And BTW… the price of Bitcoin is stable at the moment.

I never saw any risk investing in bitcoin, rise and fall is only because nature of bitcoin is decentralized and it is volatile currency, so we will have to trust it and we will have to decision according to the market conditions, risk it part of our life so never be worry 2019 will give us more chances of earning there is no need to be worry about the fall of 2018 because 2019 will now recover our lose.

it is had better invest in bitcoin in 2019 because it is showing some increment in price of bitcoin. according to past details which shown in graphs in bitcoin it seems was like today. most of the investors and experts of the crypto are say the future of the bitcoin will be bright as past. as well as this is the most important deep in price of the bitcoin. science the last year bitcoin tend to move up. according to this details i can tell that investing in bitcoin is important.

Even now the price has started to rise and it will continue to rise with the passage of time, we will see good progress this year and I am hopeful about the future, good time is not so far so better never give up and keep trying, 2019 will make us good profit but we will have to invest with full capacity and trust the investment till it rise to higher level.

Till now, 2019 is a good year for bitcoin as it start rising and touch 5600$ mark after a long time and rising and its dominance in the market is also growing and it is near 53% of the total market cap. I hope that we can see many new milestones in this year.

I think you can invest on Bitcoin in 2019, but dont forget about the rest of important coins like Ethereum, Stellar Lumens, Ripple and even Cardano. I am sure that in this 2019 we will see good projects using their tokens and blockchains and we will start fogetting the Bitcoin stage, we could say that once the people know the real Bitcoin utility (just a simple coin with a blockchain behind) and people compare with the rest of coins, the new ones will be on top for the 2020.

Well, in just 2-3 months this post has has changed its replies in points of view after some good pump with bitcoin. Yes, bitcoin now had already reached to 5.4K usd and was completely pump up from 3.2K usd from the day this thread was posted. Now many are telling that it is really good to invest in bitcoin. Anyway, yes it goes the same thing to me. It is good to invest in bitcoin now.

It is truth that the time to buy bitcoin is when it is down and the best time to sell bitcoin is when it is up. If you invest when the market went down towards $3000 you should have be in profits now that bitcoin is now $5400. I think 2019, is a year to be interested in because whatever trading decision you make now is going to influence your investments decision.

yes, we really have to invest in a bear market, for now there can't be a bear market because prices continue to rise and make a very good pattern, chances are the current price will continue to rise and rise, if I do I recommend buying gradually so when there is a drop fastly we can take choises cutloss , or HODL till market became green again but if my predict this year will be huge raises of bitcoin
so dont miss and buy by little steps

I like to believe that it's the right timing now to invest, if we believe that the bottomed was already hit, there is nothing to worry going forward.
Price now have some significant gain again and slowly the trading volume has once again increase, the last few days it only stayed at $30 billion but now we are back at over $50 billion again, I like this kind of movement as I've never seen this huge volume most of the time.

We dont know yet if this year will be good for investment or not, But it depends on us if we need to invest. And yes last year we struggle on how to sell our coins because of this low of price in the market and this year maybe we should look or read on more prediction and news about crypto maybe we can get some info on what coins we need to invest.
