AFAIK you're in DT so it's active. I have opposed it because as I said in the other thread I don't see ill intent on Csmiami's part. DarkStar_'s neutral is probably fair although I disagree with its wording.

"Stole" is probably too strong. I'll change it when I get home.

edit: I think this wording is fair and accurately describes what happened.

Sent a user 0.26 mBTC too little when refunding them under the guise of transaction fees. Csmiami claims it was an accident and made things right afterwards, however they did consider 'playing' with the user's money and needlessly keeping it for a few days.

Fair enough. It's the system in action and that's good. Like I said in time I would review my own support of the flag if this is a 1 off. I agree with the neutral, as it paints the picture from beginning to end while also being a revision and de-escalation from negative; which can say more than words at times. A good reason not to handle the money of others while having a wobbly pops.

I did see after I created the flag you have responded to everything but the urgency seemed to come from the negative implications it had for you.

Well, yes but no. Once I sent the 0.0027 I left my phone unattended (as I was with other people) and didn't check the forum until I was back home. I had no actual chance of responding before the reds were sent, I was simply sent negative feedback without any previous discussion about it (I'm not saying this is something that must be done, but in this particular case, I could have been done). So of course, when I got back and saw how things were looking, I "rushed" to right everything before it was too late

(this answer applies to the feedback Darkstar has just left I believe)

What I saw was an alarming way to treat a supposed scammer, and potentially benefit from scamming the supposed scammer. Who was to know if this could have been repeated should you have had a few drinks and again a newbie who looks like a scammer (unproven but prejudged) happened across your path.
True, I took this one personally, since he had previously spammed my thread and was creating quite a lot of threads to ask for a loan. But I also believe this is the first time I take it personally on the forum with anyone

Alright, this is now getting out of hand. I think I have explained the situation the best way I could and that everything has been sorted out, but creating a flag now seems a bit overkill to me ATM...
I think the flag was created before you responded. I know for sure that Steamtyme created it before you responded.

Yes I am in one of my more active days so I came across DirewolfM14's thread which included the snipit pointing me here. I didn't feel the need to duplicate the negatives I was already seeing but did feel the need to have a warning due to this behavior. I did wrestle with the "anyone" part of the flag but I feel that's to broad a statement to make someone would have to be some next level type of scammer to be able to scam anyone that crosses their path. So that was the judgement call I made in creating the flag. Edit:What I saw showed the potential of you having a few drinks and some newbie who looks like a scammer (unproven but prejudged) happened across your path; this may repeat if not for the actions condemning it. I did see after I created the flag you have responded to everything but the urgency seemed to come from the negative implications it had for you. For now I will continue to support the flag I created - I honestly at this point am unsure if it needs others support or not - but it will still be there as an inactive flag that can be seen. Like anything I leave feedback related, I'll monitor for a while hoping to see no sign of this type of behavior in the future, and am always willing to unsupport a flag or revise feedback.

@Csmiami,
I've removed my review and my support of the flag.  I wish this situation could have transpired differently, but at least it ended without anyone being hurt.  I hope you don't harbor any hard feelings, If I or anyone else had treated a newbie this way, even if he is trying to scam, I would expect the same outcome.  Scamming a scammer doesn't make you any different.

I am agree with that. Thank you ever l will be around here in the forum.

How can we close this forum, i mean not eliminate just lock for not more messages on this threaths?

Yeah, no hard feelings. As I have just posted on your thread, it was more the shock of opening the forum and seeing a double red+flag for a few satoshis. Honestly, I think I'd have acted in quite a similar way.

The only thing I might disagree on, is the way the situation was escalated to the trust discussion, before I was consulted/had given any actual response to the situation

I'm not too sure whether the flag is appropriate or not so I left it. The text says this:

Experienced members of bitcointalk should not be playing with someone's money even if it means punishing them. CSMaimai's intentions to keep the money for 2 days is just hilarious.

Hmmmm, even I do agree with that.

I didn't actually see that thread and that's why I PM'd Direwolf (to prevent more people getting involved). Thanks for pointing that out

I've removed my negative trust and opposed the flag as you did end up making ArmandoComellas whole.

Then I think I can relax a bit... strange though that it hasn't showed up until now. I'd PM'd Direwolf about the neg before seeing the flag, I don't think something odd will come out of this, but I guess I should also talk to Steamtyme to remove the flag

Both of you lose from this which is a fair outcome in my opinion. Both parties handled it poorly and unprofessionally. You paid double fees for sending him the wrong amount, he has to pay extra transaction fees from having to spend two inputs instead of one.
I guess there is some truth to that... I paid the price for trolling a newbie/"likely scammer"

Welp, life has turned out to be a bitch, and "The minimum withdrawal amount is 0.00030000 BTC". Looks like he is going to get some BTCBTC after all from all this idiotic thread Lips sealed (maybe not getting at all, but I am paying double fees)

Let me tell you someting this is not because life is a bitch, you need to understand that everything is cause - effect this how the life works once you understand this eveything is more easy.

You don't have the moral high ground either. Go waste other people's time somewhere else.

Right was I was going to propose, to see if you and direwolf would agree that's something reasonable. I believe it is, and I have admitted my mistake (and I think I won't joke around anymore to prevent getting another hot potato like this one)

Resolve the situation and I will remove my negative trust feedback. Send him 0.003BTC - 0.0027BTC - one transaction fee

Glad to see we still think the same way for some stuff....

I'm going to just publish it to prevent a second error... If in the first withdrawal I sent 0.0027, on this one I'll be sending 0.0003-0.00003366 on fees; 0.00026634BTC, right?

Sounds correct to me.

Yes, I'm agre with DarkStar, he has a good sense of justice.

I suggest you lock this thread as soon as the transaction is sent.

The amount deducted including fees is very clearly written on the page. I don't think that 27.3 == 30 in any situation.
Well, I happened to be a bit drunk and on the mobile site, so I did just input the numbers and scroll down to the confirm button

This was a way to potentially take a few satoshis for yourself without anyone realizing.
There we agree, and I am kind of flattered you consider me that smart.

If someone stole $3 from you, would you be fine with letting them go without consequences?

Of course I'd be angry about it, I do currently have some user owing me 0.05BTC since last year, but nothing I can actually do there.

If you don't want to be involved with the funds, then send the whole amount back (minus tx fees) instead of keeping $3 for yourself. You're making yourself involved with the funds by taking 20k satoshis. I agree that it is a small amount, but I personally don't believe that people should be allowed to steal small amounts without consequences.
