Does IOTA have any relationship with Solarcoin? I saw IOTA logo on Solarcoin's web site.

I know there's a lot of people that want to buy IOTA but just don't trust Bitfinex because of the exchange hack last year..

What are the odds of someone accidentaly use the same seed as mine ans access my account?

yeah, you must generate the seed, not use any password,
tehre is an option on top to generate a seed,

the colission of two similar seeds is near impossible, like in bitcoin

So you guys need an artificial sandbox to mimic a big city like Los Angeles in order to discover IOTA max transactions per second potential?

Again I ask, exactly how many transactions can IOTA handle at max capacity?

no one knows this actually, because the networkspeed depends on the user. the more user use the tanglenetwork the faster the transactions!
So, your question is too early...

I believe the official statement is that payment capacity is essentially limited by hardware and network constraints. So bye bye Ripple with its 'record'  Shocked  Grin

We were unable to generate enough transactions to reach the max capacity.

However, these users need to know that the value they invest in IOTA at this point is entirely placed with the goodwill of the Foundation.

Why?

What is the max transactions per second can IOTA handle? Ripple can do 1,000 per second which is the record right now, can IOTA do better?

Yes IOTA can do much better.

Disclaimer: I don’t want people to necessarily refrain from using IOTA at this point, since the prospect of this technology actually delivering on its promises is still intriguing. The only way we will be able to discover whether it works safely or not is by having many users and devices use the network. However, these users need to know that the value they invest in IOTA at this point is entirely placed with the goodwill of the Foundation.

One IOTA for a valued transaction cost around 0.0000004 usd - this is not a low price in your mind?
Seems the power of logic is not with you ...

so what? one satoshi is at  0.000026$
over that logic, bitcoin price is also pretty low, isn't it? just 0.000026$ for each satoshi,

0.000026$/0,0000004$ = 65 times.

any coin would love to be 65 times lower than bitcoin,

I came across this project when I received newsletter from Bittrex that it will be listed on their exchange, I can see this is not an ICO project, I will like to ask how the huge number of tokens in circulation was distributed, is it by Airdrop or mining?

they said when it will be listed? or when did they send the newsletter?

pretty expensive iota right now, isn't it?
price should be  at least 40 times lower

around 0.01$ / mIOTA

Definitely interesting. So you have by math a reply to what it'd be a right price... well I see people that bought during ICO time and now they're selling all. By their opinion iota is overvalued. If not why there is a sell offer in a bid list on bitfinex?

On my own I don't understand a good value for iota. My doubt is: if iota is for small transaction well iota has to be at a low price. It's the power of logic but not for an exchange mind oriented.

How can you see someone has bought during ico and selling all now?
And having ask and bid orders is called a "market" - ever heard about it?

I agree with you that you don't understand IOTA.
Here is link that may help you out:   http://www.iotasupport.com/

Market is stupid and stupid is everyone has a great faith on it, my son...
I know people that 2 years ago bought your coins and now they are selling on bitfinex, sorry. And they are NOT young people... they're businessmen only (the gods of the market, they're the market hidden hands).... sorry, but the truth is bitter, always in our life...

About the power of logic, a coin taylored for small trasaction, for the power of logic, has NOT to be charged by fees, and I know before bitfinex there're a good fee business. God bless you guys...

About the value I agree with the math of luicon sorry but it's my own opinion.
I hope you become rich by iota. Personally I can't...

bitcoin / iota total supply:
2,100,000,000,000,000 satoshis
2,700 000 000 000 000 iotas

right now
1 000 000 - iotas  is 0.40 $
1 000 000 - satoshis is 26$

is that correct ?

bitcoin price is 65 times higher than iota,  (26/0.40)

Iota price is like having 1 bitcoin at 40$ when it was launched,  (2600/65)

pretty expensive iota right now, isn't it?
price should be  at least 40 times lower

around 0.01$ / mIOTA

You clearly haven't got a clue, move on please.

whats wrong on the calc ?
0.01$/ mIOTA is pretty high value for a coin thats on beta,
its like bitcoin at 1$ when it was launched, its not even a low price 0.01$/mIOTA

any way, considering bitcoin value proyection is of 100 000$ to 1 million each bitcoin, 2600$ is cheap,
so also is iota having 65 times lower price,

however what i said was considering its still something just launched and in beta test,
maybe in 2 years 0.40$ / mIOTA would be a dirty cheap dreamed price

Please stop wasting everybodies time. You missed out, just buy in or move on.

There was a crowd sale were all token has been sold.
No (pre)mining just one sale.
Also the devs had to buy together with all participants in same crowd-sale.

You missed the fact that IOTA is launched for almost 2years.
You know about something now don't means that it exist since yet.
There was a time when IOTA was really cheap...

well, yes, but was not possible to buy them easily over an exchanger,
bitcoin hit exchangers having 1-2$ price or less, not at 40$

Oh, it was!
http://iotaprice.com/

Your math is not wrong, but you cant compare IOTA with Bitcoin.
Bitcoin was the pioneer tech at a time where nothing else existed as a vision and a small network.
These days all crypto tech is walking on roads already build.
So current markets and infrastructure is not comparable with early 2008/2009 days...
