Because NXT sheer falls in price. It's cost flows into ARDR.
About Jinn from the slack:
No public update yet, wait until 21st of October when summary update of IOTA comes, then Jinn news will follow
Jinn (placeholder name) = The Distribted Computing project that initiated the IOTA project. Jinn is essentially a stealth hardware IP start-up founded in 2014 which is developing a new kind of microprocessor architecture for the emerging fields of IoT, AR/VR, Biotech and AI. As the Jinn project evolved, and the vision with it, we required a compensation layer that would provide the incentive for an open and interoperable IoT ecosystem. Because of our extensive background in blockchain we already knew that none of them could really serve the role due to scale problems and fees, so we had to do it ourselves, and here IOTA came to be. Jinn will be a processor for any computational tasks, but also acts like an ASIC for IOTA transactions, meaning that any device that has this processor (or equivalent) will be able to do for all practical purposes 'unlimited tx per second'.
