Hello

I still don't understand if/ how it is possible to buy iota tokens safely, now, after crowdfunding's end.
Probably there is a post somewhere explaining the safe procedure to acquire them, please help me find it!

Thank you very much.

It's really interesting how ignorance breeds confidence. Launched at Azure announcement? Yes, let's launch a revolutionary technology that is unfinished and barely tested, that would be a HUGE success for sure. /S

For the infinith time: we did not create IOTA to make you rich. IOTA is a project that arose from our IoT hardware start-up when our vision required a compensation layer, it's not a pump and dump coin, it's software for IoT, if you bought it for any other reason then you did not read what we said pre-sale nor what we have said every.single.day since then. That's YOUR fault, and your fault alone.

The GUI wasn't even part of the sale, the GUI was something we decided on when the sale was almost done, so it is again 100% irrelevant. I understand, it is inevitable that in the cryptospace a lot of the buyers will be speculators who only care about a fast ROI, it is what it is, I have spoken my mind on that 100 times in an attempt to drive as many of those guys who can't see further than the tip of their nose away. But even if you're just such a speculator and you hold any amount of IOTA, and your only goal is profit, WHY then are you not doing anything other than complain?

When it comes to marketing, adoption and launch IOTA has tons of plans, but none of those will kick into motion until community decides on foundation and testing has finished so we can launch a secure and functional platform. We're close, but when you got people like yourself who'd rather sit here complaining about being stupid and buying something they didn't understand, that does not accelerate launch, which benefits no one, least of all vacuous speculators.

I hope for some good news other than the usual "it's up to the community" bullshit. We seem to have really stalled out. Testing is great and all, but why weren't we testing months ago?

What have you done lately?Smiley

Weren't we testing months ago? Yes, that's how brand new tech is made. Testing time is 100% up to the community. More testers = faster. So stop complaining and do something.

What have you done lately? I don't think anyone was testing months ago, CFB had to release prehistoric UI for people to be able to collect and send IOTA at the very least. I get that there were epic failures on hiring GUI people but man it's sad because we should have launched right at the Azure announcement when we had momentum.  Oh well.

Don't wait for a reasonable answer from that arrogant "iota representative".

why is it so difficult to find the link of the wallet?

I have looked in:
OP of this thread
iotatoken.com
the first topics of http: // forum.iotatoken.com/

some place more, please?

There really is no usable GUI wallet right now or in the foreseeable future, it's been delayed beyond reason.

On a side note, how does this impact Iota: http://venturebeat.com/2016/05/03/microsoft-acquires-internet-of-things-platform-solair-will-integrate-the-technology-into-azure-iot-suite/

Assuming you took part in the ICO, you can still sell your Iota for profit. I am buying above double of ICO price Wink https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.14740102

But if you decide to hold, it might be smart to donate to the Fundation and help with testing, so you won't have to sell your iotas below ICO price after release Cheesy

You'll probably find it on this thread when the next version is released or http://chat.iotatoken.com/channel/releases

As quasimodo said, we are waiting at the moment.

IOTA is not a crypto, what does that mean?

important question seems to me - there will be no deadlines to claim the IOTA, can you confirm?

That's what I need to know also.

I remember reading that claiming will be possible until the coordinator is shut off, so ~1 year

@ l8orre: It will most likely be as easy as: Enter your seed, click one button -> done

yes- I am not really worried

do we are safe with the initial seed from ICO?

Yes.

Do we have to change seed or do something specific?

No.

Thanks for the answer!  Grin

yes

do something specific?

In the client, you will have to enter your seed and click the "Claim" button. You have approximately one year to do that.

Can we have an official guide about this?

I admit that i did not read trough all the pages, so ... If some one could please tell me if there is a date for the launch.

THANKS!

Depends primarily on testing and the results. The community must also make a choice on foundation.
