Potential opportunity

I am in the preliminary stages of negotiating a potentially big opportunity for IOTA. Now before crazy speculators start trying to exploit this for their own gain: this is still VERY MUCH in the realm of the hypothetics and absolutely NOT going to happen unless the big holders of IOTA actively engage in this to make it happen. So no one should see this as exciting until this happens. For now it's just a potential opportunity

I encourage the big holders of IOTA to contact me either via [email protected], Ryver or PM over at http://forum.iotatoken.com to discuss further. The reason I won't leak any further info is simple: I don't want speculators to abuse this (currently) non-info to boost IOTA. If I see any retweets about this it will be the last time I ever make a public call.

Really like the Factom video you guys have done. I'm not a big fan of the overused 'drawing cartoon while speaking style' simply due to it being used virtually EVERYWHERE for the past 10 years, so it doesn't stand out anymore at all.

What do you guys charge for a video like the Factom one, so the community knows what sort of ballpark number we're talking about?

Videos are a great idea. It's the most effective way to quickly get a story accross

At Hypercube we have made a large number of promo's, explainers, tutorial videos and use case videos the last couple of years.
We produce videos exclusively for the blockchain space and are very experienced. Our clients have raised millions in crowdfunding rounds.

check out www.hypercubestudios.net

We've done work for Bitcoin.com, Factom, Shapeshift and many others.

Most recently for Lisk :

I'd love to help IOTA produce some great videos and give it the attention it deserves. With the current focus on DAPPS this is really the time to get out there and be noticed.

We handle complete productions, including script writing, voice overs, visuals and music.

PM me for more information.

I pledge 10.000 IOTA, Will deposit to Yasson or other escrow when IOTA goes live. Can sign with BTC key owning 5+ million IOTA I am also willing to pledge BTC for production of a high quality video explaining IOTA. see. Ethereum, or Lisk video. IOTA is a game changer and I want to support knowledge.

Also, if you want to buy IOTA, I pledge 5% of the NXT from sales to this purpose or the IOTA foundation. https://nxtportal.org/assets/9953479440232196730

Amazing. If everyone has this type of wisdom, Iota can't lose.

The Ethereum video, weird, I was just thinking about it a few hours ago.

It was a simple video, just with them talking, but whoever they got to make it was a real pro.

You are so right, Iota would really benefit from a video of that caliber.

As many of you know, durerus came up with a really great idea, by offering to pay a bounty for an easy to understand explanation of details about Iota.

He encouraged others to join in, and many of us did.

Here is the original quote.

I pledge 1000 IOTA (payable after launch) for a short description understandable for the average bitcoiner of

1. how and why consensus in IOTA works
2. how and why it solves scalability
3. why zero fees are possible

We could post this on reddit etc.

Feel free to add IOTA to the pledge, if you think this is important.

I added that the bounty should also include:

4. Information on Iota being quantum resistant, and also

5. An analogy of how the Tangle works

Everyone should add at least a small amount to this.

I'm pledging 250 Iota

Also, what makes it quantum resistant, and how that works. I feel this should be written in a way that is easy to understand.

Maybe someone can come up with a simple analogy that helps to explain how Tangle works?

Maybe add none of these things, just things we can think about.

Great effort. I would pledge more, but Im no whale, and want to support other efforts as well.

tolstoy bolded my suggestion, and came up with the idea that the bounty would include

6. An Infographic

Yes, this is important. We should also make this visual ("a picture is worth a thousand words").
I pledge 999 IOTA for funding the infographic.

Here is a list of those who have pledged so far:

Durerus-   1000
Hashtag101-   250
Yassin54-   1000
Barbierir-    100
Rdanneskjoldr-  1000
Rtrtcrypto-   7500
Tolstoy-    999
Bizz-   1000
Timeline-  250
Jabbawa-  250
Anewafresh-  400

I guess my only question, is if we get more than one submission in which they complete all 6 criteria, does it go to a community vote then?

Does not change my point however this exactly is the reason you should release something that allows sending coins even if it is just a command line wallet like decred.

There was something that allows to transfer iotas. I saw it on Ryver, probably.

In this case yassin54 will need to post instructions in sale thread at some point.

buyer know all risk, my post is clear?  Huh

A guide to do the transaction now would be nice though.

if you have guide, i can post, i am not expert iota

but my job is just post list seller

what happens with the buyer and the seller does not concern me

 except my escrow service Smiley

I trust Yassin, and own a significant amount of IOTA.

I'll chip 250 iotas in.

I would do more but I didn't buy a huge amount and have promised 2 friends 25k each already.

It adds up if we all do a small amount I guess.

Yeap. But buyers will be pissed off.

Anyway the current deals are profitable to sellers only. They are in the position of a gambler who can cancel the bet if he loses.

That can be solved with the seller offering a security deposit he would lose if he turned down the deal. Still profitable for sellers, but less incentive to do it and more protection for buyer.
I offered that when I announced I sold some iotas.

The scammers will find excuses to delay the transfer 1 day more to see the prices on exchanges.

Well, yes, there always would be scammers. I'm just looking for the ways to reduce the amount of temptation.

That's why I proposed a little time gap between wallet release and adding IOTA to exchanges.

That's why I proposed a little time gap between wallet release and adding IOTA to exchanges. Sellers will send coins to OTC buyers, only then to put IOTA on exchange.

But thats only my proposals, I see a possible problem and offering a possible solution.
Community to decide.

Like 3 days or so would be realy good , I agree on that one.

This person would be a scammer then.

Some are BTT newbies, they don't care about their reputation here. Some, perhaps, use bought BTT accounts.

Does not change my point however this exactly is the reason you should release something that allows sending coins even if it is just a command line wallet like decred.
