Come-from-Beyond is a natural talent. He is the Chuck Norris of crypto coin universe. He does not need education.  Grin

What are your credentials on the subject?

I can read english text and know formal logic. If hash-based signing is quantum-proof and Winternitz signing is hash-based then Winternitz signing being quantum-proof becomes obvious.

I meant formal education, where did you go to school for your computer science degree if you have one? Do you have a PhD, Masters, etc?

Not when you are trying to imply that you understand how to beat quantum computing, a basic knowledge of quantum physics will allow you to understand why this is very hard to achieve.

My 2 cents, I'm out of here.

I disagree, Buterin's posts on post-quantum cryptography looked smart. Anyway, I got Bachelor of Science (with specialization in Electronics) in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Belarusian_State_University.

Ok then should have mentioned that from the beginning, now you have more credibility.

Good luck with your project!

You shouldn't appeal to authority, but rather analyze the claims in and of themselves. Yes quantum computers have obstacles, primarily decoherence, but if you have followed the development of quantum computation then you know that it is essentially following a similar development curve as Moore's Law which in quantum is Rose's Law. Think back to the days of vacuum tubes if you would've told someone that they would soon have billions of transistors they would laugh at you too.

But since you appeal to authority just follow NSA's own recommendations about moving over to quantum secure cryptography.

Thanks

Isn't high school enough? Look at Buterin.

Oh please, so one can only learn "a basic knowledge of quantum physics" at university?

“Education is what remains after one has forgotten everything he learned in school. It is a miracle that curiosity survives formal education. ” – Albert Einstein

Many geniuses did not have a university degree.

It should be noted that the release wasn't promised to be done by Xmas, only testing.

My two cents (iotas),

Never threaten legal action unless you mean it and know what you are doing - and you don't mean (and also don't know what you are doing, because you have no case here at this juncture).

Also, let's not set a precedent where we as a community start spamming and handling business related problems on the negotiation level - it will cause noise and confusion. Let David and team handle these issues. Imagine if there is a problem or delay in the future with a large entity (say, microsoft), are we going to spam and threaten to sue microsoft over similar issues? Probably not under this type of scenario we face now.

The GUI will come soon or this person will be fired and we will wait once more - that's life. I think this guy will come through.

It can't be repeated enough. Also I wouldn't go around calling yourself an investor who is entitled to anything either.

Professionalism will pay dividends.

Just to confirm.
You can issue smart contracts on IOTA?
Is the platform actualy developed? or an idea backed by a white paper at the moment?

You can't issue smart contracts on Iota.

Iota will be an oracle for smart contract platforms such as ethereum and rootstock

Please help me understand this further. Tbh, i am slightly confused   Huh

Iota is an oracle

It can support SCs but doesn't now

If it did I propose it use the ETH standard for SCs
