IOTA ICO was nov-dec 2015 and raised an equivalent of 1337 BTC (no joke), a bit less than 500k USD before taxes.

500k ICO 1.5 yrs ago worth 850M now.. how?

why is IOTA 24h vol on CMC sooo low compared to coins of similar cap?

Because only a few bought in the ico , and these people are not day trader whales, and when you do x1700 profit on your investment only a few are dumb enough to buy from you.

Only the braves were awake during 2015 Crypto depression, many jealous people that in 2015 were playing PS4 instead of being watching cryptos are jealous to have not participate in the ICO. Well, is not IOTA's fault, is theirs.

It's true, but still doesn't make it a good idea to buy at this price.

I thought the same when BTC reached 200$ and I have been regretting it since then

How much was raised overall? JINN+BTC

Jinn = 941'297 = (0,0063 btc jinn) = 5930,1711

BTC = 930.96250857

so the total is : 6861,13360857 BTC  --- 3.035.000 USD

if my calculations are right ... wow

why the collection of  jinn was so high?

iota ICO was 3M 1.5 years ago?

I have a question, maybe it's a stupid one because I haven't noticed the answer along the way...
What does IOTA token represent ?
 What can token holder can do with it besides trading on the market exchange ?

IOTA tokens are coins, meant to be used as a currency, especially for micropayments since there are no tx fee. This is their primary and intended use, but they could and probably will also be used as tokens to fuel applications built on top of the IOTA network.
.

 Thank you for clarifications Smiley
 But if there is no fees how is the platform will make money  ?

Is not a hardfork because is not blockchain. So how do you call to convert 999 999 999 iotas to 2,779,530,283,277,761? And tell me please that you didnt have to modified all your nodes to do that.

Interesting flow of thoughts. Do you imply any change of node software is a hardfork? Have you ever heard of stock splits? Your words don't make much sense to me, do they make sense to you?

Can I have the number to your dealer? Hardforked? We've never forked anything, IOTA has been developed exactly as planned since day 1.

What? This is false. One of IOTA's main USPs is still 'no fees'. The ONLY thing we changed was the number of tokens, we did that to make the crowdsale easy for everyone to follow, to make it as fair as possible. The proportion of token ownership is identical, nothing changed. Everything you are saying is plain false.

So, the words of Sonstebo about "proof of concept" and all those stuff aren't the main target of IOTA, because if is only the zero fees, there is already the steem out there

IOTA was always legit, did you even read the whitepaper? Of course not, but if you had you would know that we are executing everything exactly as we planned and promised everyone from day 1. There hasn't been any 'change', that's your drug induced hallucinations talking.

I tried to read the white paper, but is so boring, I dont mind. And I must say the WP doesn't say nothing about the IoT ideas, the Ecosystem Fund, the proof of concept, the libraries and modules.

But well, ok, i'm sorry if misunderstood, and my brain is hardforking the reality.

what drug are you on? none of that made sense.

Dont get me wrong @iotatoken, Now I know you did a hardfork later, matured the idea and your child is growing healthy and big. You were legit and respected the investors. But this could be a huge scam.

There is a post where someone asked you the advantages of IOTA against other altcoins and you say: not fees. In other post someone ask how many coins and you answered him: 999 999 999. It makes me clear that you didnt have an idea in that moment the full concept of IOTA, neither no one else. But EVERYONE was buying and selling, just like the tulips in early XVII century.

IOTA are legit, did the change, correct the amounts, rewarded the early investors in legit form. But you could choose no to do it, keep the btc and disapear with 1400 btc. A lot of money.
