I feel quite lucky to be here at all.

I literally read about this at 10pm on the closing day and have never participated in a crowdsale before. I felt nervous sending more than 1btc with no time to do research and being a noob to most of this... glad I did send 1 at 11:15pm that night lol, but man I wish I'd been told a few hours earlier (or better months earlier so I could have gotten early bird %). I should have invested 10+ btc in support of this project really Sad.

Ah well... maybe halving and rebound from hearngate will give us another perfect storm potential ;p

NXT related question for my knowledge: Anyone can be so kind and could tell me what was the top peak ROI of NXT?

I think at one point Nxt peaked at $100mil marketcap, so each Nxt was worth 10 cents.  1BTC in Nxt crowdsale got you 50Mil Nxt and 1BTC was worth about $260 at the start of the crowdsale, but BTC had a quick uptrend to about $800 when Nxt was launched.   Sooooo, theoretically a $260 (1BTC) investment was worth $5mil at the peak.  It was a perfect storm combination that we probably will never see again.

Thanks a lot

No problem.  I think the extreme Nxt ROI resulted in a lot of people calling it a "scam" because there were so few participants in the crowdsale.  You can almost draw a direct correlation between ROI and scam accusations.  It's called the "missed boat syndrome"  Smiley

Hm, wait. It's just an example, not the limit. No need to redo the genesis.

Edit: Anyone speaking native English here to review?

Yes, the 5% was just an example stating what you would get for your participation in crowdsale.  It's not a limit and there was no limit on how much someone could send during the crowdsale.

Edit: what David just posted above  Smiley

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.13066395 proved that "E.G." was there from the very beginning, so there was no 5% cap.

Note for self: Use fewer latin abbreviations...

Thank you, I got it too.

Unclaimed Iotas Fund (50+ entities) 101 193 117.999999999

What will be done with/of the unclaimed IOTAS?

Hopefully they will be returned to their rightful owners as IOTA now will get more exposure again through launch, media and events. But if some of them end up not collected within the next 60 days, they will be used to boost IOTA. We'll decide in conjunction with the IOTA community on how to best spend them, whether through bounties, faucet or whatever.

Make a new crowdsale to sell them again with the same rate

I would be shocked if there is any more than the equivalent of 1BTC in Iota that goes unclaimed.  Participants have another 60 days to collect, so I wouldn't focus on what's going to happen to those Iota.  I would focus on how to improve adoption of Iota at this point.

I have another question. There are total 999'999'999 Iota. The 5% from it are 49'999'999,95 Iota.

In the Terms of crowdsale is written: "if your purchase sum make up 5% of the total sum of all purchases, you will get 5% of all the iotas for sale. (obviously including early bird schedule)"

How is it possible, that the adres
Code:
SWTOZTEADUONKZOMXZTNMYXDTSCFRPY9DGEGWJFEEKNIVBOEIXUMDIAVOKBSNBQEKMSAIWRINELXJFTYC
get 54'175'037 Iota. It is more than 5%.

Good catch, I need to redo the whole genesis. Hold on.

I can confirm that it is indeed just confusion. The 5% example is just that, an example. There was no arbitrary 5% limit on how much you could purchase. If a persons purchasing sum (when calculating in the earlybird period) exceeds 5% like in this instance, he will still get the proportionate amount.

CfB, I have a question. It was total 930.96250857 BTC and 58'703 Jinn crowdsaled.

1 Jinn is equivalent 0.0063 BTC, so it made 58'703 Jinn * 0.0063 BTC = 369.8289 BTC

930.96250857 BTC + 369.8289 BTC = 1300.79140857 BTC

Here you calculate 1337 BTC. Could you please explain that to me?

https://www.tangle.ninja/iota/crowdsale  Wink
You are right. There are even fewer Jinn

Correction:

It was total 930.96250857 BTC and 41'297 Jinn crowdsaled.

1 Jinn is equivalent 0.0063 BTC, so it made 41'297 Jinn * 0.0063 BTC = 260.1711 BTC

930.96250857 BTC + 260.1711 BTC = 1191.13360857 BTC

Here you calculate 1337 BTC. Could you please explain that to me?

You forgot to factor the 930.96250857 BTC with early bird schedule. Take into account the 15% and 7.5% bonuses, and you will probably get that 1337 Smiley

EDIT: looks like this was answered already while I was writing my message.. Need to type faster  Grin
