Interesting survey here in Cyprus,

The red shows no trust.
The blue very little trust.
The yellow little trust.

Sorry for the lack of posts today, it has been a hectic one with the recording of Let's Talk Bitcoin at the end of a busy day that has yielded great results, we have brought forward the task in promoting Bitcoin to the existing trading platforms that operate here in Cyprus, following a meeting with one of the largest platforms, the partners seemed very interested, this will bring great benefits to Bitcoin users who can access this platform. It will also provide us with more viable options to ease concerns surrounding a lack of platforms with enough liquidity to handle our demands.

As promised, a picture of the building that is the home of our offices and the flagship branch, to demonstrate just how "different" it is within the surrounding area (I only had time to take the picture whilst waiting for the traffic lights)

Another update on the progress of our offices, we take delivery of them on Monday.

This spreadsheet provides details that will enable you to input different parameters (The Blue Cells) to see the effects they will have on our reserves, we have omitted any parts in relation to options trading, so trades on the spreadsheet are very simple public and dark pool markets, even with a crude strategy with the figures that are a direct replica of the seven days when the price of Bitcoin took its fall following the April bubble we would be damaged, but still very much in business. The key figure to watch is "the next day BTC requirement" as this will indicate the amount of Bitcoin that will either be added to our reserves when balancing the customers wallet for the next day, or how many BTC we need to use from our reserves to top up the customers wallets.

EDIT - The spreadsheet has been converted to USD intentionally.

Do we have an end date for the IPO?

A failure to raise 9500 BTC by Saturday 30th November would constitute a failed IPVO. With all proceeds being returned to shareholders, otherwise the shares will remain up for sale.

They'll probably raise 2/3x that.

is that "two-thirds" or "two to three times" ?

Heh, either way I'd estimate that they're both wrong. I predict 1X the expectation.

Does that include the pre-IPO shares like the ones traded for xbonds, or just the IPO sales?

The xbonds ones would have to be paid same as the rest - as those shares are being distributed at the start of next week so would be mixed in with the rest.

Are there early bids in the other markets?

Yes. BTC-TC has around 230K, not sure about Havelock.

Only 5K on Havelock. Although I like the ambition and the attempt to provide options, it seems like it may have been more effective to just stick with one exchange. Not enough homogeneity between the exchanges in volume and usability yet.

I am just between meetings so have not had a chance to answer questions on here or Reddit, I have a spreadsheet to post publicly that is pre-programmed with the rates (From the crash starting at the top and ending at the bottom on the last day, just before the rise back up)from the April bubble and demonstrates the effect that they will have on our reserves etc, you can also modify the data to see any of the effects, of any scenario you desire, including trading the reserves.

Once I get back to my office, I will post this spreadsheet.

Sorry for the delay.

"Don't go in the trollbox, trollbox, trollbox"
I'm sorry (you can tell where this is going with that start eh?) but the concept of a Bitcoin bank seems like an oxymoron right now. Most of Bitcoin's supporters are behind it because of the concept of a decentralised currency and the kick in the teeth it can give the banksters.

The money transfer firms WU, PayPal, SWIFT et al. are all sniffing round BTC poised to jump in on this and one big fuck-up will set back the cryptocurrency cause years.

On the reddit for this: http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1mmiju/the_first_bitcoin_bank_in_the_world_is_opening_in/ there are some big unanswered questions regarding hedging against large price moves which mirror most of my misgivings about this.
