Fluctuating in bitcoin price is just a normal thing as far as trading is concern. This will not determined whether 2018 is going to be the down fall of bitcoin price. I hope before the end of the third quarter of 2018, bitcoin will hit 20k USD. Just watch! 2018 is going to be great.
Why'd you say that 2018 is bitcoin's downfall? Because it dropped in price? Bitcoin's price has been hugely fluctuating in price since forever; and price doesn't determine the success of bitcoin. Lightning network isn't even being currently used besides for testing, so I'd say bitcoin is just getting started.
this is only at the beginning of the year, there are still 11 months to be less agree if 2018 is the fall of bitcoin, you can see the chat at the beginning of the year for the last 3 years must come down all, after that the price began to rise again, this hopefully can be repeated again so that buy above can be at least behind the capital first
Looks like all of the answers here are correct. It doesn't mean that 2018 is the downfall of bitcoin just because its price is getting low. It is normal for bitcoin's price to went up and down, cause its volatile. Maybe soon or later you will just see that bitcoin's price is getting higher again, and after that it will go down again. Bitcoin is fluctuated. We all know that, and it is not a problem.

Maybe before asking this question you should have look at the price graph on the google or any cryptocurrency site for last 3 to 4 years, it would have cleared your misconception . It will be cleared that the up and down or rise or fall is quite natural in the bitcoin scenario . These falls are essential as it always leads to more rise in the price of bitcoin. So, just relax as its just the matter of time that it will be back to 20,000 bucks.Yeah it's better to ask google first rather than asking questions like that in here.
More research is equal to more knowledge gain and will be gained. Bitcoin don't have any downfall on my point of view, everything that happens is just normal and you'll get used to it. 
I do not think so. Most experts and investors do not think so and they will never let that happen. So maybe 2018 is a bleak year with bitcoin but does not mean it will crash. Perhaps it will rise sharply at the end of the year
I'm now saying that 2018 is the year of the bitcoin fall drastically. and never happened before, and in the next year I can not predict it, because it is very difficult. but if bitcoin is able to keep its value, its volume and spreading remain high or rising, I think this incident will not happen again.
Bitcoin is here to stay as well as some of the most prominent coins like Iota and Neo. These fluctuations of price are a normal occurrence and have been happening regularly since the beginning of Bitcoin.

I think it could be BTC dump till 8-9 k$ in short term. However, BTC price will be up to 30k $ per 1 BTC this year. I think it is clear due to increased criptocurrency market capitalization in the nearest future

A negative fluctuation does not mean any crash but just a normal way of bitcoin reacting on number of demand and supply. Im sure you ask this because of past declined on bitcoins price, and you might be thinking that it would be the downfall of bitcoin but its definitely not. Bitcoin will run more years to continue dominating the crypto world for all of us.
Probably not, yes bitcoin is a bubble but year 2018 or 2019 wont be the year for it to burst, the difference of bitcoin among all other bubbles is that bitcoin gets access from worldwide investors. So i think this would go a little more way than other bubbles before
I don't think that Bitcoil value will fall this year. What we are experiencing right now is a normal correction. The same thing happened in the previous years. 2017 was definitely the best year for cryptocurrencies but it doesn't mean that they will be abandoned. Many more people may discover Bitcoin. Fortunately, Lightning Network works pretty good so it shouldn't be a problem to handle a huge load. We just have to wait for wallet providers and merchants to implement LN. This will definitely help Bitcoin popularity.

Yes, bitcoin's value declined a lot during the start of this year, 2018. But january is not yet even over that's why i think its still to early to say that this will be the year of downfall for bitcoin. There are still a lot of time and there are also still have a lot of possibility for the bitcoin's market. As a form of investment it is just normal that there are times that their value experience a big downfall. For me, its not going to downfall the btc because this 2018 is going to be growth it base on my experience of having friends using there bitcoin . 
by looking at bitcoin developments in 2018 seeing bitcoin prices drop dramatically, I'm sure that the bitcoin drop is only temporary and will return as before
People are always saying this after a huge correction. BItcoin is dead. The downfall of bitcoin. But if you take a look at the trend. It is normal for bitcoin to have a downtrending price. And after the news of the ban on China and Korea it is natural that bitcoin price will go down. If you study the previous trend bitcoin will moon after this huge correction.
I think not. This just happened last year. And after few months bitcoins price soar upto $20000. So dont loose hope in btc. It will go up again higher than before sooner or later.
Everything is possible, if something bad happen with bitcoin network or some new and far better coin comes out, it could lead to downfall of bitcoin. But for that to happen chances are... really low, near to impossible. If we look back a little bit, we will see fast rising of bitcoin. We will see that number of people that supports bitcoin rise as well, which lower chance of downfall. And as far as fluctuation is concerned, price of bitcoin has always been fluctuating. Main reason for that is trading. A lot of people trade bitcoins for either altcoin or fiat currency and back, which lead to large market, and that have great impact on price.
If in 2018 there is the possibility of bitcoin prices falling, it means there will be a possibility of bitcoin prices going up too, although sometimes between up and down is not directly proportional. Every year bitcoin likes bubbles, and the last 1 month, bitcoin has experienced bubbles that eventually break, and prices fall, it's because of the large number of people who sell bitcoins because they know it's a good time to sell the bitcoin.

In my opinion, 2018 is not the downfall of bitcoin. 2018 is starting now so don't lose hope if there are times that the value of bitcoin will suddenly goes down. Continue investing in bitcoin because I think the 2018 will be the best year to bitcoin to grow. I also think that bitcoin will not fall down but it will continue to rise up.
