I do agree with you. DIVI is an easier crypto wallet. We can put our money to work with DIVI nodes. Set one up in minutes, sit back, and watch the rewards roll in. Crypto rewards have never been so easy like this DIVI. Also from what i heard, DIVI will release swap and debit card by itself in the future. You can check it out also do own research first before more into it. Cannot miss their great potential too from what i see.

Altcoin is not just one thing. It includes some great coins like Binance coins and Ethereum and also include many shit coins many scam coins.
It depends on which coin we are choosing . Investing in some good projects will be safe and a good investement but need to be stay away from scam projects.

Learning how to invest in cryptocurrency is one step, being selective and always try to find projects with huge up side potential and small sized risk is another, investing in altcoins is damn risky any little mistake you could lose all your capital to either dump or rug pull, becoming a successful investor is not a one day thing, you need to practice alot and trust me no matter how good you are you will lose a few times when you start investing in altcoins.

I think it is safe for as long as you'd definitely know what your into. Because, crypto has many fraudsters and scammers, watch out for some of them, just trust people to trade with a good reputation in their profile. Many got victimized from trying to trade with strangers that sends first their funds. And speaking about crypto wallet, you shouldn't send to anyone your account details so that you could refrain from being theft.

Altcoins are also good for investment. But make sure the alts you will buy has enough volume, has a high demand and being used by its holders. One perfect example are NFT games. This is not a financial advice. But personally I bought AXIE INFINITY game token called AXS at 11usd now its keep going up with the price of 42usd. I also have SKILLS from Cryptoblade and DPET from MyDEFIPET they are really doing good.

For your information one of the best performing coins comes from altcoins on any given day,, not even bitcoin comes close in spite being the number one coin.

Just because altcoins could be worth the investment doesn't mean any coin qualifies, you need to know what the projects you interested in and what they are all about, is the team active, Is the coin/project viable to survive in the long term,once these questions are answered then you have your coin.

Can buy coins on different exchanges
Understand the team technology and see if the team members have experience.

What does the OP mean by "safe"? Why those who are in search of "safe" investment flock to the cryptocurrency market? I am saying this because cryptocurrency is anything but safe. There is no guarantee that the coin or token which you are investing in will remain in the market after a few months. That is why the cryptocurrency market is suitable only for those who have a very high risk appetite. Even if you invest in Bitcoin or any of the established altcoins, you should always be open to the possibility of losing all of your investment. For "safe" investment, please purchase treasury notes or gold.
