Altcoins aren't and won't ever be safe. The reason some people are insane gains or losses represents the volatility or risk involved. Anything that has huge gains won't be safe otherwise everyone would buy in right? In general the higher the risk the higher the possible gains or loss and vice versa the safer an investment is the smaller the possible gains or losses will be.

The waves of ocean repeats in a cycle but crypto price volatility don't follow any cycle. Crypto price flows in different way always. As a result, the use of buy and sell pattern is really tough when the market is more volatile. Newbie should learn before using this method for making profit. In the meantime, they should follow the way of long term investment. They may choose top and popular altcoins for making their investment. In the long run, those coin price will increase for sure. And it can be considered as a safe method for investing in alts.

I think it's the same if you want bitcoin or altcoin, both are full of risk and talking about profits, not everyone in altcoins will get a bigger profit because theoretically, as you say, fluctuating money is the reason and cannot be equalized all coins in altcoins.
apart from that maybe we can minimize it by looking at coins with good prospects that are bought so that they are not too high risk

Though when bitcoin comes lots of people also thought is it safe or not against stock market. But its proof its self. Now for your clarification you can do a little bit research to invest any such altcoin. Or the thing is yes It's safe if you are investing in a real or good project. The review of the project is very important whitepaper the people involved in the project if they are real and legitimate. And review the alts they are holding and that alts is msotly legit. Specially those mother coin is safe to invest for your funds. Btc and eth is the most legitimate to invest for me.

Yes, youre right encountered so many altcoin which ends to scammed and run away. For me, the secure alts are those exist in the market like btc and eth. Investment is more secure on those alts always we see in the crypto market. We have freedom to chose but its better to make a background check of the alts youre investing and to be safe in scammed.
