Bitcoin is created for decentralization of funds, anonymity features, fast transactions and all those good stuffs but never to take down Paypal. There's no competition going on. The bitcoin network is not managed by a single company. It never intended to fight against other payment methods that exists. If Paypal starts accepting bitcoin, then it's okay. Bitcoin's not going to mock Paypal for doing that.

It is true bitcoin was not created for such lowly objective, taking down PayPal, but even if that was not the objective, if bitcoin keeps growing it may end up doing exactly that.

Its not going to end any system or thing because every object has his own risks and disadvantages all can survive in this competition hope these can also do as long they can do in future but bitcoin is doing too much for many like me

We're not talking about ending a system here. Just which do you think is better. But, I agree with you. Bitcoin and Paypal can co-exist. They do not have to kill each other. Both of them has their own purpose.

It may happen. There are plenty of examples of business that did not go with the flow and never innovated that resulted to their downfall. Look at Nokia, it was the biggest cellphone producer. Where are they now? This might happen to Paypal, we will never know for sure.

The competition between PayPal and bitcoin system has started when bitcoin provides a solution for online payments.

Bitcoin has all the features above mentioned, but all the features are possible because it is existing online whereas PayPal is doing business mainly targeting online users.

Maybe bitcoin was not invented to compete PayPal but it will happen because only fittest will dominate and will survive.

most of the reason mentioned by people why they're using paypal is because its coverage which almost all of online store in this planet are accepting paypal while bitcoin is still not so popular as paypal,this is the factor that make they still use paypal even paypal could freeze their account immediately or getting tricked by chargebacks feature,sad but true

That's for sure as they do not want to be scam online, when big money is involve especially if you are a businessman you would use a legal payment processor for your security and although the fee is really big, you would not mind it so much. Anyway, we cannot force them to use bitcoin and I'll be happy if bitcoin and paypal will stay around.

Paypal are covering and helping scammers with their dispute and reversible transactions. Unlike with bitcoin, once you send some bitcoins to someone you can't cancel it so you really need to be a responsible bitcoin user. And sure thing that bitcoin has a lot of usage than with this old crap, paypal and crazy charges us high fees for each transaction.

In Paypal disputes the seller can also participate in the dispute resolution. Hence, he can defend his side. If the seller is really legit, then he has a fighting chance to keep the money paid to him.

It is not that easy to pursue paypal about that. Documents would be needed to prove that it will be worth the adoption and developers wont take care of that. Something like the financial team of Paypal would be creating a project to introduce bitcoin to their bosses.

That is why I don't like PayPal, the bureaucracy. We need to give them documents, personal informations, need bank account to use their services and all those things...

Bitcoin is much better, it's anonymous. We don't to say who we are to start using it. We just create an online wallet and start earning money. And when we want to buy something, just paste the address, send the money and receive the stuff, simple and easy!

developers will not ask paypal to use bitcoin because bitcoin is actually decentralized no one have control over it so no one can ask bout it,and bitcoin don't over a service it's actually a currency not a service offer

Apparently that oblivion is not inevitable at all. People are using Paypal and people will continue using Paypal. Even bitcoiners like us are using Paypal to buy stuffs online. There would always be people that do not want to study bitcoin or do not have the time to do so. Paypal is a very intuitive website so I think most people will continue using it despite of all the flaws that it has.

PayPal will always be the preferred option for the average Joe as they use it mainly for two very important reasons.

1 ~ PayPal offers people the safety of being able to charge back in case it needs to be done.
2 ~ PayPal is widely accepted in the major part of the world where it offers people a decent (in their view) payment platform.

Coming back on point 1 I must note that this feature that is being seen as a great protection option for buyers, it also offers scammers an easy way of scamming hard working sellers.
