I like paypal for it's currency conversion, it's no fee's for transfers to family and friends world wide, the buyer and seller protections it offers and no waiting for a block to validate. Crypto can't compete with that

Have you ever tried sending money to anyone who lives in 2nd or 3rd world countries.?
You will be amazed when you see the conversion rates as well as fees they charge for that. Just try and experience it once. Make a donation to someone's PP account and ask them how much they have got.  Angry

I do have both, though I am not using paypal because I am comfortable with the way bitcoin transact the money, user friendly hassle free and low transaction fees. Although a lot of users now transact with people but since I already met bitcoin I never used paypal anymore since I am happy with the outcome of bitcoin.
But I have even no paypal account I never used paypal in my life time and I think the reason is the same that I never feel the need to use paypal, as bitcoin is nicely completing my all requirement and I am really feeling good while using bitcoin. Therefore I think I never feel the need to use any other currency or forum.

Hmm, did you see that paypal has no advantage to you. But I see that in the future that you'll desperately need paypal for various things, because now it's paypal has different advantages and benefits of the bitcoin and paypal have a level that's more a guarantor or a clear law. So that is the reason you use paypal in the future, if you don't believe you can prove yourself.Advantage indeed now we can get in the bitcoin, however if we just use the bitcoin alone then it all is not the right way

Are you serious dude?

Paypal charges a hefty conversion fee if you are sending it worldwide and also it takes a cut from each transaction. It is reversible, meaning that you cannot convert your cryptocurrency with paypal because it is so risky of getting scammed.

With bitcoin you can send it worldwide anytime, and you don't need to wait for blocks actually. Some exchanges might require 1 confirmation but you can send unconfirmed inputs.

Paypal is an online payment system for existing, government-backed inflationist currencies.

Bitcoin is a cryptography-backed deflationist currency AND it can be also used to make transactions.

Two completely different things.

The problem is still there are blind users of Paypal who don't wanna shift to Bitcoins. Won't understand that bitcoin is way better than using Paypal.  Smiley

Bitcoin- in bullish time

I don't use paypal because i already have bitcoin but for me even though i didn't try using paypal before i still go for bitcoin because of its security which i don't need to verify my account on a particular wallet unlike paypal does and bitcoin is very profitable because i can do trading from it and it can generate good income for me every month unlike in paypal you cannot do that.

I hope it is completely different question because bitcoin is a currency and paypal is a payment system which is handling many other currencies also, Even though both are completely digital currency but it is completely different concept. Paypal is one of the best payment processor or payment gateway which is paying it's customers on time. Where as bitcoin is completely different it is not governed to single person any has the right who has his own coins.

True, they are totally 2 different things, its better to compare, Coinpayments or coinbase to paypal in handling money as payment processing.

The only advantage that pypal retains over bitcoin is i guess the price stability. Bitcoin has large price swings while paypal is obviously denominated in USD. However, bitcoin does not and cannot run a fractional reserve system, while Paypal probably does so in an attempt to bring more profit into their company(because paypal is for-profit, and bitcoin is not).

Once bitcoin price stabilises paypal is dead.

Not only paypal but every other fiat fund transfer company would start getting in trouble once bitcoin price remains stable. I have some experiences which are not so good with international fund transfer companies and on the other hand I found crypto currency technology is emerging as a solution for all the obstacles of traditional fund transfer options. I won’t blame any companies but they won’t have much space in the future unless they adopt crypto.

I don't know how it's possible to compare bitcoin and paypal. Bitcoin is crypto currency and paypal is payment system. If you have got a problem with paypal it has nothing with bitcoin, cause of it's two totally different things. That's my opinion.
Maybe we could compare the number of transactions and users, bitcoin is currently around $15 billion in marketcap, but paypal is hundreds of billions. From this side of the paypal still won, paypal has been working with the banks but nothing yet bank agreed bitcoin. It may take longer for bitcoin could beat paypal. It just my oppinion.

Potential.

Bitcoin has so much more potential than paypal. The main thing is that Paypal is restricted by fiat. It's restricted by government regulation. It cannot grow anywhere because if fiat goes down, so will paypal.

Bitcoin on the other hand is decentralised, which means that governments have little influence. I'd bet bitcoin in the long term.

In many ways, Yes it is. Way better than Paypal. The main advantage is that Bitcoin is not a company as Paypal is. Paypal does whatever it wants, takes a lot of fees, chargeback process is hectic and service is pathetic. Angry
They're charging a lot of fees to pay their employees, having profit, and paying taxes to their government. it's not a non-profit company that works for charities, they're building this company in order to get profit
So, they must charge pretty high fees otherwise, they will bankrupt if they don't. That does make sense why paypal is charging pretty high fees if you compare to bitcoin which is definitely not a company

They are both good, but I think we cannot compare them because they are both very different.
The bitcoin wants to be a real currency, Paypal just wants to be a pay method and is not a currency at all right ?
Overall I do like the bitcoin more because its faster and also more secure and cannot get limited.

Finally a guy that is exactly saying what I would say, I'm also thinking the same thing, you cannot compare this too.
The bitcoin is something to pay with and is something that wants to be a currency.
With paypal this not the case because its just a system that accepts money and convert them to other currency's.
I think overall there is no chance we can compare them because they are both doing different kind of stuff.

The bitcoin is way better than paypal because of the following reasons:

1. Paypal is limited in some kind of country's.
2. Paypal is controlling your account so they keep an eye on you.
3. Paypal is very slow with some kind of transactions.
4. The bitcoin is way faster.
5. The bitcoin is more secure than other pay methods.
6. The bitcoin is controlled by yourself no one else is looking in your wallet its just you that has the power over your money.

If you're making payments to someone you know/trust or for services already rendered I like Bitcoin (especially if international) to avoid the fees and funds availability delays.

I have been told that don't accept payments via paypal, is that right?
Because when buyer will have his bitcoins then he can claim back money from paypal by saying that i haven't received desired product.
You can't compare this is at the moment this too has a big diffrences first is paypal is company where people using this to pay online or to shop online bitcoin is digital currency where we use this to trade and to invest online. paypal can be request to the support and can be easily dispute transaction this is the advantage of paypal not like bitcoin once you send your bitcoin you can't even get back.
