Bitcoin will one day die, but for now no, as everyone continues to buy bitcoin because it's the best choice of investment compared to any investment, I'm sure bitcoin can last up to 50 years.

I think bitcoin will never dead, people are very need this technology. Bitcoin is much better than paper money because its also provide good profit from it increasing price.
Paper money isn't really an investment though, it's just a medium of exchange. If you want to compare it to investments, you should compare it to stocks for example.
We'll have to wait and see how it compares to stocks in the long run.

who cares?
I don't think just give a simple attention on such type of issue, I have a strong belief that Bitcoin will not destroy and it will be one of the strongest currency in the future. some people who think that Bitcoin will be dead one day, they are very much frustrated and hopeless, they don't even simple prediction power.
I agree with you bitcoin is not dead it’s still alive and I think currency never die some time his price can be low in market but it does not mean that the currency is dead bitcoin work properly you can buy things here easily and you can use it in daily trade or you can invest it also and if we see the price of bitcoin I think it’s so high than any other currency.
The price of bitcoin may go down but it cannot be dead for this year and for the incoming years because bitcoin has a lot of potential in the future and its price can go up even higher in the future because of the move that the people in different countries can do and that is to adopt bitcoin and make money from it and use it as an investment and money, that is why bitcoin cannot be dead and it will die if there will be no support.
Many thines bitcoins go dump a pittle bit or a big dump happens because of the unpreductable sequence which may affect most the bitcoins price to continue to dump but in the current bitcoins have establish a big good support so whatever it is now it will continue to rise more in the future.

This is an long back thread. What it means to be a death, in the past when a price crash happens users start describing that bitcoin is dead. One among the worst time was when bitcoin was termed as a failed experiment by the key developer leaving bitcoin. This became a big talk and lot of people left bitcoin, but those who left felt bad as the growth started to take place in less time.

I think it is.

Bitcoin use adoption has stalled. Media interest has dissipated. Prices have only slowly continued to decline for a long time now. Bitcoin securities have always been and still are a complete mess, with a near 100% failure (scam/fraud/incompetence/etc) rate. Mining has been concentrated in the hands of a few giant players, eliminating much of the advantage/security/democracy of thousands of individuals being the money processors. Alternative forms of online payment with US dollars (and other fiat currencies) are now cheaper, faster, and more secure than bitcoin (and of course far more usable to buy/sell real goods/services), eliminating any of its advantages as a payment system. Continued decline of bitcoin and strength in fiat currencies has put the lie to the idea of bitcoin as a store of value; there are far better more reliable hedges against inflation. Meanwhile the real economy is firing on all cylinders, stock markets are at all time highs, corporate earnings are higher than ever, unemployment is low, etc. Even amid the boom, no one cares about bitcoin any more. Bitcoin was a fad that lasted a few years, and is now on its way to being forgotten.

Thoughts? Anyone seriously disagree with this conclusion?
Well, I'm pretty sure now that bitcoin made a huge comeback after this post was posted. Bitcoin can never die, we have proven it after all the issues that it faced since the beginning. We always saw it's price fluctuates, a huge dip then also a huge pump. This just proves that bitcoin is always strong and superior against all other coins out there, we just have to believe that it will always stay on top.

Mate bitcoin will die. If you are thinking that it will never die. There is something wrong with you. All the thing you see in the world will have an beginning and an end. Bitcoin will also have an end.

I hope that it will not but it is going to die someday. We have now the chance to invest in bitcoin and get a lot of money out of it.

I don't think bitcoin is dead because Bitcoin is rising so fast. It is already over 5500. A week before it was at 4000. This is why i think bitcoin is the best way to make money and can never die.

Many people say bitcoin dies because prices go down, but the fact that it only happens for a while and prices skyrocket after drop, people who say bitcoin die are they have no bitcoin.
Up and down in the price is part of the business as bitcoin in snot only a currency but it is also a digital coin business. I think it is not a serious case as we saw that the price grow up once again. All the news about the death of bitcoin is caused by the Chinese decision about bitcoin and ICO, but bitcoin is worldwide currency and it does not depend upon the decision of one or two countries.

I don't think bitcoin can die also this is impossible when bitcoin just got to $5000 and i don't think it is going to die achieving this.

But maybe in the future some other alt coin can surpass bitcoin who would know?

No Bitcoins cannot be dead and no one can even think in dreams about the death of bitcoins because millions of people have invest billions of money in bitcoins just because they trust in bitcoins and bitcoins has controlled the the unemployment rate of the whole world so how can Bitcoins be dead.

No  I don’t agree with this because bitcoin is not dead it is a live currency its buying and selling trading all are running 24 hours so if we say that bitcoin will dead it’s impossible it has changed many things in the past and in the coming future it will bring major changes in our lives

Bitcoin cannot die.  It is decentralized and trustless.  How useful bitcoin is will determine its value and how widely adopted it becomes, but all of the constant hand-wringing about bitcoin dying is sole because bitcoin is fundamentally a disruptive innovation.  It takes a bunch of new concepts and complex technologies and mixes them all together into something that nobody expected, understands or can predict what will happen with next.  So we may have no idea just how important bitcoin will become, but it certainly isn't going to "die."

I think No, There is a sort of adjustment that bitcoin encounters, Such as the effect of media like banning and other negative rumors about btc, But for people who believe in btc, are totally keep calm, because btc designed to fluctuate in order to earn a good profit for investor, Our mindset of btc is dead is just a speculation, The reality is that btc investors tend to hold their btc because they are optimistic of the upcoming bloom of cryptocurrency due to its demand.

Disagree because if bitcoin died no more business that we not be able to work and bitcoin is a nice work so that i interested to work here because i want to buy a thing that i needed for my school.
If we see the graph of the market price and the performance of bitcoin since the time it was introduced, I think we’ll find no suitable reason to support this argument that bitcoin is dead. In fact, the market value of bitcoin is increasing with each passing day and it is making a very good reputation in the world of international market.

Bitcoin has died 100 times and came back every single time. I am sure it was going to die with the fork in August and most recently with the FUD from china. But hmm where are we again exactly? Oh yeah bitcoin is nearing

an ATH in spite of another fork incoming. Bitcoin shall never be true dead Roll Eyes
Yes, bitcoin is alive and in full swing even in China although they have banned bitcoin in their communities, but mining is still in full force. I am sure that nothing would be happen to bitcoin, although it is in ICU in some countries but still alive and I believe it will survive. Besides in other countries bitcoin investors are increasing day by day and so the value, markets cap and the price as well.

I think bitcoin will not die anytime soon ..
There are still many users who trust bitcoin as an investment or stock trading.
I predict the age of bitcoin is still long, either 3 or 5 years into the future.
If anyone states a bitcoin will die, this is a wrong statement because for now bitcoin has recovered by showing a positive value.
more than 20 years in the future, I can ensure that bitcoin will still be there since the technology of bitcoin is very useful and it can make the world better. So, if you want to be rich in the future, try to buy as much bitcoin as you can Wink
bitcoin is the future,  A lot more then 20 years, and i can pretty sure that bitcoin will go over the dollar market and make them bow before its market..

The way bitcoin is proceeding successfully in the world and getting great appreciation form the common people, there is not even single reason for the disappearance of bitcoin in the future rather there are maximum chances of bitcoin becoming the sole international currency of the world. Dollar is nothing as compared to bitcoin and bitcoin has already beaten it badly.
