in my opinion bitcoin is the new era of currencies because you can pay to anyone and receive payment from anyone with your phone dont need the bank account, dont need verifiying and something else like that, so bitocin is more flexible thab the other currencies
The moment you cash out you need bank, we may say that it has minimize the bank functions because we have this bitcoin which is way faster and hope soon will be cheaper in terms of transaction. Bank will always be useful as we can always trust with our deposits with them as long as we understand the law because our money will not be gone if we are not doing anything contradictory to it.

Actually we can now already used up bitcoin on those things you have stated which are buying foods and of course purchasing or availing products and services that can be done online. Of course it is! It just needs a lot more stabilization in terms of price. I can guarantee that bitcoins will be mainstream once everything (from total supply to price) is stable. From there, investors will make a lot of effort to make bitcoins more of a 'money for everyone' kind of deal.

I am sorry, I dissagree with you. Bitcoin was made to become a currency. People are already using bitcoin as medium of exchange in online shop, although many countries are considere bitcoin as asset but it still a currency with many features which better that cash. Bitcoin is growing popularities in developing countries because bitcoin can help unbanked people which find difficulties in sending money, with many benefits that bitcoin gives to us, I am sure that bitcoin is the new era of currency.
