it is definitely real money for me, a few years ago i bought a computer for it so i dont see why it shouldnt be real money if i can use it for buying
There were shops accepting Bitcoin a few years ago. Bitcoin was worth a lot back then, but I didn't know any shops that accepted it.

But in my opinion, bitcoins are real money as I use Xapo debit card and hence I make all purchases in bitcoins. I withdraw fiat cash with this debit card only and it's similar to using visa cards today.

Yes I am also using Xapo debit card which gives me the real money feel with bitcoins. Especially for me, bitcoins can be used to micro transactions and offline transactions as well but it will take time till the REAL bitcoin is available.
I should really invest in this Xapo debit card. Is it actually any good or should I stick with a normal debit/credit card?

No. I also can not use bitcoins in local shops nor physical stores today and always need to convert these bitcoins into fiat which takes a lot of fee as well as time. It may take some more time to use as real money for me.
stores that accept bitcoin very rare. in my country I can probably count only 1 or 2 stores accept bitcoin.

As far as the local money we are receiving through bitcoins transaction from banks or from any ATM machine is real. It means the digital money which we keeping in our digital wallet in block chain or coin base or any websites while transaction from the buyers we get the real money from them, then its real for us.

No its not for me completely. Not because I cannot buy things or any service in my country, but due to the reason I cant tell my friend or relatives if I have 100 BTC , that I am rich. So only that but yeah love BTC though.

Completely? You mean it is like just half money? Yeah trur you can say it to your family but they wont understand. It is how you will show it to them. Maybe show your phone application then tell them this is the value of it.

There's a consistent theme that I see popping up on here that I find rather fascinating, and that is the way that many posters perceive BTC.

What do I mean? People doing things with BTC that they'd never, ever dream of doing with their dollars - gambling as an 'investment', or gambling at all, pouring coins into bullshit investment schemes run by totally anonymous showers of shit, lending on here to shambolic morons, asking the question 'where do I get free coins?'

Considering how much of a pain up the arse it can be to obtain coins and keep them safe and their future potential, I find it bizarre that there's such an extreme disconnect. I would've thought it should be at the opposite end of the scale but that's clearly not the case for many.

Why do you think this attitude has developed and where do you stand yourself?
Yeah i consider bitcoin as a real money because it has changed many people's life and you can buy mostly anything with bitcoin, and i consider it as a 'real asset'.

For starters, bitcoin has no value if there is no demand for it.

It's not a problem, though, since bitcoin is often being used by a lot of people for it provides some benefits that no other currency can do. it is send and receive in an instant, no need 3 days waiting time for bank transfer etc. no reverse trade which is good for seller...

so as long there is a unique demand, bitcoin is indeed real money.

Yeah faster transactions. I remembered sending some to my relatives and still I didnt got the notifications that it is sent. I just emailed the wallet bank customer support then baam it is done. In an instant. They said the problem is with them due to their upgrading.

Bitcoin is real money even though its a digital and we can't touch it but the value we receive from the buyers is amazing and the price rise says that we can become rich if we store a lot of bitcoins for some time.

For me it is kind of worse than real money because I can't use it in shops. It is better for online shops though.

Correct if you are using it directly. It is really to use it as a money for shopping. You will always need to change it to fiat so that you might be able to go shopping and treat your wife.

Bitcoin is real money to me as I buy gift cards with my bitcoins and then with the gift card balance, I buy my household items and also get cashback which helps me to pay my bills as well. This wouldn't be possible if I would not earn bitcoins and it is much better than fiat cash.
