Depends on what project you participate because most of them will pay you worthless coin, some of them will pay you coins with super low value, some of them will actually pay you tokens will real value and provide a decent exchange and there is the last category wich never pays the hunters but this is our risk when we get involved into bounties.
Yes, it all depends and we cannot sentence the bounty campaign profitable or not. So as long as you choose the right project, then it will benefit you every year. But, when you don't do good research and don't choose the right project, the bounty campaign will always be unprofitable for you and will completely waste your time.

In this year the Bounty I think the campaign is profitable because some projects can make money. But the results received very little due to more false projects. Now many people focus more on trading. And in this year IEO became the main choice when compared to the ICO.
I hope that with this IEO can be a good solution to make a profit. Different systems with ICOS and IEO are superior because direct coins can be traded.
It's hard to look a good Bounty is this year. Every time the bounty ends there is always trouble like pending distribution, change the allocation in the end of bounty and no further development of the project. That's why the good bounty is hard to find now.
The bounty hunters are doing their job well, they bring the project to the community and there are positive reviews about the project, the bonus programs are needed for new projects. However, this year I did not find projects that treat well the bounty hunters. Bonus programs with meager amounts and too many participants. Besides, the extended time and delay in the distribution of bonuses to bounty hunters is always in the SOON state.
Exactly Too many bounty campaigns have given false hope these days. Distribution was delayed for another 6 months, tokens were locked for months, listings were not carried out, etc. Nevertheless, there are still profitable projects, based on weekly payments, based on payments with strong coins such as BTC and ETH, tokens that already exist on the exchange, are still very profitable. Choose wisely and selectively, accept failure and scam as a risk, it will make us better. 
In fact, 2019 has been a good year for crypto markets compared to that of 2018 but when it comes to bounty, it is the otherwise. I think the profitability of bounty keeps decreasing with increasing years and there are some obvious facts that everyone knows but one think I have seen is that bounty managers even go to the extremes of advising devs to reduce bounty pools to prevent tokens being dumped on the market. TO say it in other terms, the devs now to put a higher pool to make bounty campaigns profitable as before.
Hard to say as most the bounties did not even pay the participants and I'm reffering to late 2018 bounties and early 2019 but this is our risk as participants. I've thinked to give another shot to signature bounties and see how this one will do , so far so good.

Bounty hunting is profitable if one has a high ranking Bitcointalk account and can join in bounties that pay in bitcoin. I've seen projects that pay hunters above 100$ weekly for signature campaign. For those who are able to carry out more campaigns, they would receive much more reward.
no its not, now many people become bounty hunters so each campaign has many participants and makes the pool look small.

Some of my friends are still making a living out of bounty campaign, but they admit that they have tripled their effort compared to what they are doing two years ago, now they have to join almost all bounty campaign and get active in airdrops, the ratio now is 1 out of 10 is profitable, but you need to join all to find out.

Profitable for some and not for many, there are so many scams and failed project now, compared to 2017, I still remember last year there are so many exchange ICO this is because an exchange is a very lucrative business, but they failed to realized the competition is very stiff and they are up against a more stable exchange.
I recommend joining bounties now on this this year 2019 because you will never know when the bull run comes. The tokens that you have accumulated this year will surely give you profits and your hardworks will be paid off when bitcoin comes to its new ATH.

besides that many projects require kyc to get rewards, this is very dangerous if on a fraudulent project, so the participants submit their identities. especially with a few rewards that do not seem to discourage supporters to support it. but this is understandable given the market is less attractive to investors

that's be common situation now for bounty hunter.many projects didn't give exact date when they will start token distribution.mostly prefer to hold it and wait till bitcoin price market sentiment recovered.

I think market has been the worst for bounty hunters this year uptill now, hunters are either getting peanuts or no reward at all and the situation is really terrible, i think market will take a lot to change this otherwise the struggle of bounty hunters will continue.
I think I have the same opinion to yours, bounty this year has been somehow and the profit hasn't been coming out from the campaigns compared to previous years. Jump to:
