I'm just curious, are they just the same?

For me both of this is different form of investment but has the same concept. In a stuck market you do have the highest share then the stuck will be name by you while in bitcoin although you have the highest holding but still bitcoin is decentralized and no one can own it.

Yes,in terms of returns we will never knows that our investment will give returns or not but if we buy the coins after the better research then chance of making profits is much higher. But crypto currencies are different from stock it is just like a normal fiat currency with much price fluctuations.

Buying bitcoin is almost the same as buying stocks in the stock market, for you are putting capital or buying it with money, buying bitcoin ir stocks are the same investing money on it and you engage in trading activities.

I like Bitcoin better than stock as I feel like I have control of the underlying asset.  When I buy stocks the broker holds these assets and I cannot use them.  I also like the fact I can spend my Bitcoin at various places I visit.

Bitcoin- in bullish time
If you are trying to say that buying altcoin in the cryptocurrency market is the same as buying stocks in the stock market then yes, it is true that you will be doing the same thing in the cryptocurrency market because when you are buying stocks then you are undergoing to a research and a technical analysis to prove that it is worth it to buy that cryptocurrency/stock.

Stock are ownership in businesses and companies. bitcoin is ownership in the form of money. I think that's what makes them different.

Stocks are shares where by any means you are part of the company and that's when you hold any part of it. Unlike in bitcoin, it's not a stock, like they said it's a cryptocurrency where it must be used for buying goods and it doesn't have a company backed up. In stocks, when the company profits, their shares are increasing and in bitcoin, when the demand increases the value also increase given that its supply is limited there are many factors whereas bitcoin and stocks are completely different.

I think its not the same. When we buying bitcoin, we believe on proven network and we believe bitcoin is store of value like gold. But to make profits, its like we keeping our stocks because we hold it for long term

Obviously it was not the same, stock market has rules to follow while cryptocurrency can be traded anytime when the market price is starting to pump.

Investors who are planning to purchase stocks in the stock market would need to do a lot of research on the companies that they are interested in, as the performance of the companies would usually affect the price of the stock, but the values of bitcoin are generally affected more by the rules and regulations imposed on it which are set by the authorities of every countries, so I would say there is actually a huge difference between stocks and bitcoin.
Yeah all this research work is true but even if we don't go in all this detail we an simply understand it as how different are these both (stocks & bitcoin). When we are asked what is bitcoin? we say it is a cryptocurrency or a digital currency which makes it clear that it far away from stacks and stuff. It has it's own identity as a currency, just like you have dollar and pound sterling which are tangible or physical. I guess it is the simplest way to understand the difference. Also it is vulnerable to regulations because it is considered as a threat to the ordinary financial/economical system around the world.

No they're not and there are lot of differences. Stocks in the first place is only a portion of a holder or person in the company which can also be called as shares. On the other hand, Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency which market value is continuously growing despite of the market volatility. Stocks are only shareds but once an investor invested in Bitcoin, it would all be to him as well as profit. So the difference is dependence. Also, Bitcoin is a currency.

Bitcoin is not like stocks. If you want to buy Bitcoin, you don't need to depend on third parties or brokers. You don't need to be afraid that someone will run away to take your money, because Bitcoin gives full control over its owner, you are holding your own Bitcoin.

It is similar to buying commodity not stocks. Stocks are tied to a company and usually changes according to how a business does. If you own apple stock than you are stick with how apple is doing and apple has been doing great so you make money, or you select a bad company and you lose money on that stock. Bitcoin is more like gold or silver. In the similar way there is limited supply of bitcoin and gold, it is compared on price against dollar, the less valued dollar becomes the higher valued bitcoin/gold gets. So, if you want to compare bitcoin to anything you do not need to use stocks because it is tied to a business, you need to compare it to a commodity like water/gold/silver/oil or whatever.

almost the same, but the obvious difference is, bitcoin fluctuations that make prices rise and fall very fast. while stock market growth can be slower but more certain.

Yes it is similar if you want to buy cheaper and sell more expensive, so you want to make money on the price difference.
In principle it is almost the same, because this is an investment where bitcoin can profit if the price rises, while the stock can profit if the price goes up there is also a dividend distribution if the company gets a profit. If the loss / price falls, the risk of losing money. Because bitcoin is money, it can be used to pay for transactions, but stocks cannot be used to pay when we buy something.

There are very much same but here are some differences:

1) There is regulation in stock markets.

2) No anonymity in case of stock markets.

3) There are additional taxes in case of crypto which is generally higher than that of stocks.

4) Returns are much higher in case of crypto. The risks are also higher.
