When viewed from the security side of course there is no doubt that crypto is a payment system with the best security at this time, everything can be controlled so that it deserves to be the main choice of investment at this time, the thing that still makes it difficult for bitcoin to grow bigger because there are still many countries that are closed for investment. accept bitcoins.

The Quest of the Best Information to the Solution
Just like Ecash and Hashcash paved the way for the ideas of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency.
BTC and other cryptocurrency will pave the way for the next technology and innovation that may come.

Perhaps I may just be another type of crypto that could work better then what is out there then now.

Time will come and from the ideas of least expectant there will come another project of innovation.

Never say never.

20 years ago nobody would believe there will be something called digital currency (cryptocurrency) that will be threatening the very existence of fiat, same thing happened years back before the advent of fiat, most of the medium of exchange back then where slowly replaced with fiat.

Now with the technological advancement of this generation it is very likely something more advanced will be created, the world is evolving very fast, new inventions every now and then, so it is possible something new will replace crypto in the future.
There were digital currencies even 20 years ago. I mean they weren't as big as bitcoin but that is mainly because of blockchain, bitcoin became the digital currency everyone accepted because of the backing technology it had with blockchain. So, everyone who worked on such projects knew that one day it would happen, didn't know when and didn't know how it would happen but they knew that it would one day be perfected and happen.

The first ever happened in 90's, we are in 2022, that is over 30 years of trial and error until this day, but if we look at 2008-2009 period as the start, that was a decade of studies done on how to perfect it as well.

Crypto has not really fulfill that aim of serving as money so far and perhaps it may or may not (it is under probability) because the future is not certain and it is possible that some group of people are already exploring something new and different using all the loopholes of crypto or btc as a case study.
There is always a possibility as long as human exist.

I agree. Cryptocurrency has great prospects and to date, not all functions are working at full capacity. Cryptocurrency has a great future ahead in the payment system, and this must be implemented first, It will take time. After that, it will be possible to think about the next steps in the evolution of money. Today you can think about it in order to implement it in the future.

a system that will replace Bitcoin? I thought you were dreaming lol. see how easy it is for you to make transactions between countries even with a nominal transaction of millions of dollars but can be completed in just minutes without complicated things like in a bank. I believe that there will be nothing new in the world financial system in the future because crypto is the final stage of the evolution of human money.
Humans are not contented on what they have, it's our nature to continue inventing new stuffs and keeps on evolving but it seems crypto/bitcoin is already the best thing that we can get as a form of money and if there are new, what would it be its advantage?

They will have a hard time of thinking it but let say they still manage to come up with something new, its difference won't be far away from cryptos and to bitcoin but people will stick here to the old one because it's already proven and tested. Newer technology will still be buggy and will take a long time for it to become stable. Let us not worry because we still have a long time to enjoy our very own crypto.

Although I would like to think. Crypto-Currency as the final stage of Evolution, but truth be told the world is constantly changing and even when the coin and Note form of money came about I think everyone would have thought it would be the final stage. So we aren’t sure but what I can say is Crypto-Currency would be a relevant part of the future, it may even go through several changes itself along the way.

Crypto is experiencing significant growth, only about 10 years the number of active users of cryptocurrencies is currently more than 600 million, china is the largest country that actively uses crypto, although it is getting a good reception but I believe that technology will continue to develop so I believe that one day there will be a system that can replace bitcoin.

I don't know if perhaps i'm overthinking this, but considering the evolution of money from the beginning of time where different things have served as a medium of exchange and now currently banknotes.

On same trend, we are slowly witnessing the evolution of  money to crypto and i can't help but wonder if crypto is the final stage or there may perhaps be another revolutionary idea to replace crypto as money after crypto has been accepted.

What do you think?
I don't think anything is final, that's how progress works. So crypto is a revolutionary idea, yes, and an idea like this can remain relevant for a long time (from decades to centuries, I guess), but eventually, the world will change, the economy will change, and something new will be created. It's impossible to imagine what that can be, just like imagining the Internet wasn't possible in the 19th century and imagining smartphones - even in the 20th century. So I think that it can't be final, because the world goes on and new ideas appear. But the significance of this invention is yet to be determined.

It's hard to imagine new revolutionary ideas that will come in the future. In my opinion crypto currencies was already a big step into the future and it could the final step towards a fair monetary system for all people. If something is good and working for all people, no need to find something new again. Thinking within borders and small countries is wrong for the 21 century, we should be focusing on the world itself and stop with the dividing and exclusion of people. It might take a few more hundred years, but eventually the world will unify. The question is than what kind of currency will be used that is valid all around the world. Crypto currencies would be the best option.
I wouldn't be able to imagine bitcoin neither, but it happened. I am sure that people never really imagine what could be possible until it happens and then when it happens we became accustomed to it. If you told me 15+ years ago that there will be some digital currency that will peak at 1+ trillion dollar market cap and 68k+ price, I would have mocked you, I would have tried to humiliate you.

But at the same time, we are living in that period right now and you would have been right. This means that there could be some people who are considering something and people could be mocking them today, but in 10 years that mocked thing could become something regular.

15 years ago many people thought that the blackberry system was the last and the best for chat, but after the advent of android the blackberry is now dead, just like today we say that bitcoin is the best, I believe one day it will die and be replaced with a better system in every way.
The development of the times cannot be opposed, and maybe at this time Bitcoin will be the best, even though it is still in the process, it is the same as the Fiat currency through a long process to replace the barter system that is already irrelevant at that time. Therefore, Bitcoin will go through a long process to replace the Fiat currency later if the situation and conditions are relevant to use Bitcoin

Already now we see that many people prefer a financial system that is build on an independent currency, a monetary system where the government can't just freely print new money. For such a new system cryptos would be the perfect solution.

Goodnight, o_e_l_e_o 🌹
Very thoughtful of you Op.

But I want us to understand that in the stance of evolution, there is no final stage. Will it interest you to know that humans are still evolving. If you doubt this, go watch tapes(video clips) of 80's and compare it to now. You will understand that humans are more beautiful now than then.
That is how it is with technology. It keeps evolving. And every technology is said to me impactful if it's able to birth another technology. So, don't be perplexed that in the nearest future, something better than cryptocurrencies will emerge.

Change is always constant in life , money has gone so digital now.  Cryptocurrency may not be final stage of money because things will always change as time goes by,  but Cryptocurrency will always be seen as a latest currency that will be accepted by every generation. If at  all their will be something new in years coming it won't have any big difference from Cryptocurrency.  So I don't have any doubt if their will be something new in years coming but it can't totally replace Cryptocurrency.

As of know we are from the final stage of evolution. Bitcoin is yet to be accepted fully throughout the world. Most of them started to consider it as way to do criminal activities when we came to understand few FED cases back in the year. Even if you have watched few Netflix series based on criminal genre then they have literally portrayed it in the same manner itself. Like smugglers getting paid in the form of Bitcoin for anonymous transaction.

I had to mention it on top of good stuff that we hear because these kinds activities are also growing negative impression of bitcoin on the Governments. Though decentralised in nature we need Government to give permissions to use if done in main stream adoption. Otherwise we all know how they keep bragging, this is illegal, that is taxable, etc.

Everything keeps on evolving. I doubt crypto currency is the final stage of the money evolution. As technology advances, probably one day we will see that crypto currencies aren't as secure as they used to be. The whole network might start becoming vulnerable. While that happens, something new might have been created by then which will be much better than crypto currencies and eventually will replace crypto. The same way crypto currencies replaced fiat.
Maybe it's like that because basically technology will continue to evolve and I'm sure it will happen in the future,
so it will also affect the evolution of money and maybe 20 years ago we never even knew there would be crypto which is currently growing big,
What is clear is that the possibility will always exist

CBDC's are the next iteration of money, therefore next on the evolutionary stage. Digital tokens aren't anything better than a digitalized version of cash, perhaps with some updated technology depending on how the central banks plan to introduce it. Money doesn't actually change, nor is crypto even to be considered money. Money is in place of a barter system. If not money, if not crypto, something would take its place.

You could have a social credit score be the next iteration of money, theoretically. Whatever we perceive to have value will be the next "money."

The evolution of the world is still happening on a daily basis so we cannot conclude that cryptocurrency is the final stage. Before the advent of cryptocurrencies, gold and fiat existed for decades and no one would have thought that cryptocurrencies would emerge and gradually replace fiat dominance. The future remains the same as the technology gets more and more advanced, there will soon be another model that replaces crypto. But to do that, people continue to take centuries to create a new currency to replace crypto.
