If you are considering it as a diversification for your investments AND you have already explored it then there should be no harm in doing so.
Also chk through Crypto presales 2024... I've heard that some coins on presales do end up giving good returns.

Good Luck!!
Happy Investing!!

The key on here is on invest on the amount that you can afford to lose as always. You wont really be finding yourself to get stressed on the time or moment that shit things happen.
If you do really believe on DOGE then its your choice, if you do base up because Elon Musk is holding or promoting it then it would really be your choice. No one would really be pushing you
Elon Musk contributed to the success of Doge, but without Musk, the project is big and worth the investment. We may differ on the return on investment and whether it is a successful investment or not, but the project will stay with us for at least 10 years.

All that doge themed coins are just one big scam. It's like a lottery with pretty low winrate

Not really, nobody knew that 2021 would be that good for Dogecoin but it was. For example, when we take a look at $WIF, nobody was 100% sure that it would generate good returns but it did.

The better approach is to invest in what you can afford to lose and in a coin that you feel has potential.

Don't you ever think of moving on to other meme tokens instead of always focusing on Dogecoin? That may also be profitable for you. Dogecoin went crazy in 2021, but it is most likely that we won't face the same situation again soon.

Of course, I'm open to exploring other meme tokens as long as I feel that there's a potential for it to generate a good return in the future, yes.

I've been a fan of DOGE & use it more than any other crypto, and have been since 2014. The main reasons are:

  • strong community worldwide
  • 1-minute block times
  • $0.01 tx fees (or less if you're stingy)
  • merge-mining with LTC makes network more robust
  • plentiful supply makes it easier to use as a currency

I was into it way before Elon, but let's face it, without any action from Elon its doomed to fall back into the single-digits price-wise. So yeah its a great crypto to use but a risky long-term investment.

Having said that, I'm currently nearly all-in on $DOGE.

So, I'm thinking of buying Doge coins again. The last I invested on Doge, I got good returns in 2021 when I sold everything.

I know this is mostly a gamble but nevertheless.

Do anyone feel the same way about Doge coins being a good investment option?
Op, I don't like altcoins because altcoins are risky, investing in altcoins means losing a lot of money. However, investing in ETH, BNB, SOL, MATIC coins can be good and you decide to invest in DOGE coin which can be good. However, you have to invest with risk, you may gain or lose. But if you can invest in trusted coins like Bitcoin then your risk will be very less, if you can hold Bitcoin for long time then you can definitely earn profit. Currently the price of Bitcoin has dropped a bit so you can invest in Bitcoin. Finally, invest where you feel good about investing, because if you invest on someone else's advice and face loss, you can blame others.

It's good investment when the market is having significant dump, honestly doge coin after reaching 10 billion ++ market cap doge's price action heavily resembles bitcoin and right now just follow bitcoin trend, it's unlike newer meme coin with lower market cap where the hype still heavily influence the price action of the coin and dictate whether it's gonna be bullish or bearish.

dogecoin is just another high market cap investment much like BNB, SOL, or ETH. the risk of delisting is close to zero, the market is already stable enough and you're more likely not gonna get that big of a profit unless BTC is having big rally.

You're right, I can't compare Doge to other newly launched meme coins, it's market cap is outstanding making it one of the best for investment when it comes to investing on meme coins though there are other good meme coins too but I'll love to invest on the most outstanding that's shown good potential therefore investing on a meme like Doge over others is not a bad idea at the moment. If the OP had invested days ago when the market in general experienced a massive dip, he would've made good returns currently depending on his investing power as there was an upsurge in the price of coins that follows Bitcoin trend, well incase he missed out, he could wait for another buying opportunity and take advantage of it. But i'll pick BNB, SOL, ETH over Doge irrespective of Doge's market cap and only invest if I've got spare cash after accumulating those other Alts on my portfolio cause they show better potential than Doge which is a meme coin.

Yes, Dogecoin (DOGE) is a good investment option than altcoins that have low MC. But it's not a good investment choice when compared to altcoins that have large MC. Shiba Inu (SHIB) and Pepe (PEPE) are other meme alternatives, there maybe you will get bigger returns considering they have a lower MC than Dogecoin (DOGE). What do you think about my opinion?
Yep mate I agree with you that Doge is a good investment as compared to Altcoin which has a low Market cap. While we should give more priority to the things in which the risk of involvement is less, i.e., good Altcoin. Becuse investment in Meme coin is too similar to Gambling on the other hand Altcoin has a low risk compared to meme coin but here Altcoin means good Altcoin. So you are right that Altcoin should be preferred over meme coin. But anyway, let me tell you that this is an exception, if a person has experience on how to manage risk, then I think there is nothing wrong with investing in a meme coin for instant profit. But it should be taken very carefully because investing in meme coins is like gambling. A little mistake can cause you to lose.

to make up decisions in speaking about investment. You are the ones who would really be doing such decisions whether you would be putting up some DOGE into your portfolio
or you would really be leaving out on meme coins and would really be focusing into top altcoins or coins in the market like BITCOIN or ETH or whatever you do really like or want.
It would really be just that a matter of choice in the end of the day. So it would really be that wise that you should really know on what you are doing.

I have a strong feelings that dogecoin still remains a prominent coin one can invest on because I've been looking on it performance of recent to discover the tendencies on how it have quick recovery over the bear market each time the crypto markets plummets, the first thing I've noticed was the it does not fall easily like that until the market bear is completely achieved before it falls, and when it wanted to rise, the process is more faster than many other coins in which they have fallen along together a the same time.

Nope! Dogecoin is not a good investment any longer! Unless you can push Elon Musk to start promoting dogecoin again. Dogecoin was dead long back when it's creator sold all his holdings and bought himself a brand new Honda Civic. Whatever you are seeing in Dogecoin right now, it's all because of Elon Musk's promotion.

So if you want to gamble, you can probably put some money into it. But if you want to stay safe, Bitcoin and ETH are two best options for long term.

Doge coin is a mother of meme coins, so it's the strongest if you want to compare with other meme coins.

Doge coin might be the top choice for people who looking for a secure coin with low fees without care about the privacy level.

The price tend to rise when the Bitcoin network congested, since the Bitcoin fees will getting higher and higher in the future, the price of Doge coin would rise too.

It’s still a good investment yes. It’s been around since 2013 so you’re talking about over 10 years of trading, that has to count for something. It’s a legitimate liquid coin, you're not going to get rug pulled by some new shady devs. It will probably do 10 x ROI within 18 months so it’s still a good time to buy, just don’t expect 1000 x ROI like you might get with a lesser known Altcoin.

I think Dogecoin is still a good investment. If you are planning to invest then you can invest. But many may make very good predictions about this Dogecoin but I think it's better not to trust their predictions. I'm not a Dogecoin investor I'm just into bitcoin and ethereum. I would suggest you also don't miss to buy Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, BNB all these coins. If you buy and invest all these coins and go ahead with Dogecoin then I think your investment will get more beauty and success.

Any altcoins as of now are not a good investment considering the way the markets are operating right now. I am a fan of Dogecoin and I in the early days did have a good amount of that coin. I sold them when they first started pumping and haven't bought any of them.

What I am trying to convey to you is that there will be a big market crash in the coming months or days. If you can take the risk and keep on holding the coins till the market recovers then you should buy them. Otherwise except for Bitcoin and Ethereum avoid investing in any other coins.

I don’t think so, the golden era of Doge investment is buying before Elon hype this token. Right now, there’s no point on still buying it since it has unlimited supply while the price was already discovered.

The price never went back again to the level before hype this token meaning there’s still a lot of big players hoarding this token waiting to dump on retail. Buying Doge is already a gambling and it’s better to stick with Bitcoin that has limited supply and increasing demand.

Hmm, thats pretty interesting, mate!
To be honest, all meme coins are just similar to gambling. So everyone needs to understand that meme coins have a high risk, whether they are Doge coin, PEPE, or blah blah.

But Anyway, if we talk about profit, according to me, you should intervene in everything that has the potential to give you profit, but the obligation is that you know how to manage risk. So whether it is Meme coin or Altcoin if you have risk management then I think profit should be organized from this coin. Also, Doge Coin is one of the largest and earliest meme coins in the crypto market. I myself have organized enough profit margins from it during the previous bull run and even now if I make a list of meme coins, I will place Doge coin at the top. Becuse it follows a constant pattern, on a slight increase in Bitcoin, Doge Coin also gains a lot.

The saying, "don't put all your eggs in one basket"
Haha, that's the point Mate !

You made a Golden Quote "Don't put all your eggs in one basket"   Cheesy

People need profit not a collection. Bitcoin is an obligatory investment, while altcoins are also good when they give you a huge profit.

I surely is.
But better to have BTC & ETH
Or maybe have some from presale like Pepe Unchained, PlayDoge & Base Dawgz.

Yeah, considering the situation, I would go with a mix from both worlds, but more stables and big fellas of the market, of course Wink
