So, I'm thinking of buying Doge coins again. The last I invested on Doge, I got good returns in 2021 when I sold everything.

Don't you ever think of moving on to other meme tokens instead of always focusing on Dogecoin? That may also be profitable for you. Dogecoin went crazy in 2021, but it is most likely that we won't face the same situation again soon.

Do anyone feel the same way about Doge coins being a good investment option?
I don't even think Dogecoin is a good investment anymore. There are now hundreds or thousands of meme coins. Also, Dogecoin will likely  the same pump as  2021.
If i were you, I'd consider a meme coin with a smaller market cap than Doge coin.

I advise you to read some of the reasons mentioned in this topic Stop treating Doge as a meme coin and thinking that it's all about Musk and the number of daily transactions is evidence of blockchain activity and not just a token being traded on CEX.

Dogecoin runs on POW and has an active user base and low fees so it may have value in the future but it is not the best investment right now.

I already own Bitcoin, just exploring other options at the moment.

It's good that you already have bitcoin but never put a lot of money in meme coins at least 5% of your portfolio for Doge it doesn't matter if you believe in Doge in the future.
The current price of $0.1 is still very likely to return to $0.2 but for ATH I am still not sure Doge can go beyond that because this is my prediction so you can conclude yourself about your investment there.
So far I have not dared to invest in meme coins, there is still a lot of trauma buying meme coins that are small capitalists, so for Doge at least there is still hope to rise.

All that doge themed coins are just one big scam. It's like a lottery with pretty low winrate

Well for me it is still a good investment to hodl Doge tokens. It is biggest meme coin and we all know who else does really like it.
When Elon Musk does launch X payments there is rumors he will accept Doge as payment. It is that reason here I think we will see big gains when this dose happen.

Personally I don't really take altcoins as a suitable form of investment. Non the less doge coin is quite ok but I would prefer it as an alternative coin to make use of when trying to carry out simple small transactions. This is because sometimes bitcoin fees can make a couple of transactions seem uneconomical although bitcoin fees have been quite ok for some time now, when fees are quite high most bitcioners switch to doge for smaller and more light weight transactions.

Doge has quite an ok trend and from my experience for a while now it hasn't been too volatile (of course in a negative manner.).

I think doge can be a good investment but if you go through the recent price history, you may prefer to just invest in bitcoin because these coins are dumped already for new coins that have higher ROI. If you want to invest on doge, thinking its price will get to all-time high, do not deceives yourself because that will not likely happen.

I know this is mostly a gamble but nevertheless.
