Ethereum is good for long term investment.Ethereum is the more potential cryptocurrency in the market. After bitcoin it is in the second place. The price of eth is raising significantly. Surely it will increases in the next upcoming years.
I think long term ETH has more to offer - they also have the stability within their development team which Bitcoin is finding so hard to maintain.
The development team is also the richest in the Blockchain scene (with something like $200m in assets!)
I think this alongside the fact that transactions are actually far quicker and that it's built for smart contracts means it's much more interesting to hold than Bitcoin.
Also there will be the metropolis release sometime next year, which among other new features, it will also start to phase out brute force PoW mining and opt for PoS which means that you'll be able to earn interest on the ETH you hold - I believe this will push the price up more so as there will no longer be more coins being released & holding coins can generate even more!
I'm very interested to see what happens in the next year for ETH, but I also do think if you invest it has to be for the long term, it doesn't get the press attention Bitcoin thrives on

Wait for the value of bitcoin to stabilize before the end of this year then buy some ethereum. Hope that bitcoin will get recognized again next year and the stabilize again for best results for your ethereum investments.
one of the best investment of course is ETH, but the grow is slow and steady. If you what it to hold long. You got the right decision mate.

At least that gives a huge return for us rather than nothing. but remember this too late to invest in ethereum. Why not invest in the ethereum at the previous year? when the price of each ether still worth some dollars. Yes you are right, Bitcoin is still the best in terms of price and price increases. But if you ask about investments, cryptocurrency is not the best investment. There are still plenty of investments out there that are better and the benefits are certain. For example like gold and silver. The price of gold and silver always rise and never go down. Some people even think that keeping gold and silver better than keeping money in the bank. Money in the bank will experience fluctuations and impairment, while gold and silver if sold will generate a lot of money. Bitcoin remains the best, but some argue that the profit from Altcoin will surpass Bitcoin. We will see later.
Ethereum good to invest but not as good as BTC, BTC is always top priority when it comes to cryptocurrency investment.

And before I said that you need to invest in the Eth, even before its price rises. And now when many have realized this, then try to catch up. Why people can not predict such a situation, then not rush to extremes. 
Being number 2 crypto snd number 1 altcoin, yes i believe eth is best for investment. It is priced$461 and been up this week meaning showing its strength and telling us it will be up more this december and months to come.
Of course Ethereum is good for investment now because as of now Ethereum price is $472.17.

As ETH sits on the second spot in the hierarchy of digital currencies, i can feel that this digital currency is strengthening its position against the other alternate coins in the market. Currently at $469, speculations are made that it will reach to $1000 before Jan 1 next year so i think it's a good idea to invest on this alt coin.

if look at the current info, and the info is correct (no hoaxes), I think yes, I same opinion with you that ethereum is good for current investment. the existing info mentions that ethereum will rise up to 0.18 BTC / ETH, if buy at current price 0.04BTC / ETH, can get a big profit when sold at the price of 0.18 BTC / ETH.

Ethereum is a good coin for investment for sure, but it's hard to know if it's the best. I prefer to invest in several different coins.
If you are planning for a long term investment, I would say Ethereum is one of the best presently available in the marketplace.
It is like bitcoin that the price is most of the time go up, its not too late for now to invest though Its price is high but in time pass it will more be higher so its ok to invest in it. But if you have in mind some coins that deserve for investment its okay.
Yes Ethereum is the best for long term investment and if you buy it now and hold it longer then it can give you very promising returns on your investments and right now price is very much affordable and it has potential to achieve the price of $1k in near future.
