When it's come to money and finance, consistency and reliability is the key to business growth and loyalty of all the stakeholders! Ethereum really started well when it's come to transanction fees. As the network grows, users begin to experience pain difficult on using ethereum platform. It particularly got bad last year when fee rose to more than $100 and became worse at the peak of bull market this year! I hope London upgrade will fix things!
If devs were not around and active like they are... Ethereum wouldn't have been this popular but since they are around and addressing all problems that arise like the high fees we experienced a few months ago that made Ethereum less popular and pushed its users to other blockchains. With its past problems I dont think they want that to happen ever again and they will do whatever they can to keep eth alive.
Fyi already Ethereum is undergoing the London hard fork which is suppose to keep fees low and in a consistent stream which just shows how far its expected to go, eth is here to stay.

Ethereum will not going to die, it is already been trusted in crypto field so there are so many people that still used and hold ethereum that is why it will always rise after a huge falling of the price.
That's right, because Ethereum is one of the most popular altcoin and is in demand by investors to be used as long-term investment, then the price will definitely continue to make a new ATH price, so when the price of Ethereum going down, then it's our chance to buy Ethereum and hold, because the price will definitely increase again and give us a big profit, so now is the opportunity for us to invest in Ethereum, because the price of Ethereum is going down.
Better to think that way, while the value is low is a good hint to buy and store your coins inside your safe wallet.
This project will not going to die as there are many investors who trust this chain and a lots of developers who continue using this system for their projects.

he's dying...this is too loud to say, but if they hold out with their update for another couple of years, then the nearest competitor BNB will take its place, and it will be hard to enter the stream in such a race for a place in the sun 
This is said every time Ether increases in value and transaction fees go along with it. A lot is tied to the Ether, it is obvious that many projects have to transfer BSC to us in view of the high commissions in the Ether network. However, this is a forced measure, and in my opinion, the developers of Ether will be able to bring in many positive functions with their updates that will change the rules of the game.
Ethereum in my opinion will never die. It will continue to get better and other projects will work along side with it to make it stronger. Ethereum will always be there, it’s other projects jobs to coexist along side Ethereum to make crypto more usable. This is why I’m a big fan of NEAR, NEAR has the mentality that everyone wins including other projects. NEAR works along side other projects and makes them stronger, it’s the essence of coexisting! NEAR already has a seamless bridge that connects it to ETH and it’s working on building more. Everybody wins is NEARs mentality and with this mentality crypto will take over because it brings the technology to allow everyone to win.
I don't understand the thought of that person who says that ethereum will die. if ethereum will die until now maybe ethereum is not in this position and ethereum will not fill the top 5 positions of coinmarketcap. it won't die easy for ethereum because ethereum is a big coin and it takes a lot of people

I hold some Eth but I still favour Solana as it’s transaction fees are next to nothing and it’s faster. Time will tell whether it can catch Ether up.

I also use the Solona network, it's really cheap and useful. In the past, ethereum was the only one in smart contracts, now it has competitors. Having competitors and increasing competition seems very positive for the crypto market. The bsc network and the solona network have developed well this year.

I am a long term supporter of Ethereum and know that it is the most trusted network to create smart contracts but the kind of Huge fees for withdrawal and swapping of tokens, we have to nowadays due to slow network or congestion , is going to make it unpopular coin in coming months and other networks like, Binance, EOS, Polka Dot may take its place . The issue with Ethereum is that its developers are trying to scale running Blockchain which is like repairing a car while driving.
ethereum will never die forever because Ethereum is the best Platform of all time. we can see from the various developments made by Vitalik Buterin and the team. so don't be narrow-minded about the developments that are being made. don't just because of high transaction fees some time ago you say ethereum will die. this is a totally wrong opinion.
I agree with your opinion on ethereum's future potential but not with your assumptions regarding ethereum's cost comparison. because not all traders like transaction fees on the ethereum network (probably). and i have a good feeling if eth price can reach $3k this month. hopefully

Even though there are many competitors out there that doesn't mean Ethereum is going to die. I believe that ethereum will continue to exist, we also don't know what will happen in the future, who knows ethereum's price could be double the current price, or even Vitalic can solve the main problem of slow eth network and expensive gas costs. anything can happen
I don't know who has the idea that Ethereum is going to die !? For years, Ethereum has been the best developing altcoin with the largest market cap right after Bitcoin.
If the upcoming Ethereum 2.0 launch goes smoothly, its position will be even stronger. I am sure that ETH will remain in the lead position of altcoins for a long time and that nothing bad can happen.

Its so easy to say about eth but the reality is different. Even now eth as well as erc20 tokens are charging normal fees. I remember a few months ago uniswap exchange was asking more than $350+ fee for one transaction but because of unstable crypto market, we were facing such huge fees issue.it is now about to solved. So no need to worry for eth. Even eth would not die cause large percentage of altcoin mainly depend on it. hope as a parent, eth will do care of those altcoins and fix their blockchain & develop themself welly

The fee of ETH network has been reduced a bit now but the current fee is also higher than other networks. And that's why many projects and DEX are now using Binance Smart Chain instead of ETH network. I think if Ethereum doesn't have these problems right now, do we even need to talk about it dying? Well, I also hope the dev team will solve this problem even faster. I still concretize my beliefs by buying more when I see a good price.

Of the top platforms, I see only Ethereum being the most serious about keeping the blockchain's core value of decentralization. When Vitalik solves the gas fee problem, we will see Ethereum reach the development it should have.
Ethereum have good potential, there is no doubt about this. The problem however is when will the issues plaguing ethereum network will be solved. There have been a lots of promises unending about how ethereum network will scale and bring about the solutions it's users are clamouring for. Something need to be done urgently about fee on ethereum network! 
ETH is beast can never be replaced. Reason is the technology of ETH Block chain. What you think BSC was possible without ERC 20 network. Impossible, so point is Fees are due to heavy traffic and it means ETH is progressive more but project has no alternative to ETH if there is thats too poor in terms of its features and Business. ETH is the love our heart's
Never say never they say in crypto:) But I tend to agree over here with regards to ETH, it learned to be as careful as Bitcoin with upgrading and has slowly but surely overcome the big problems of scalability,,, which will happen on chain I guess by next year with full rollout of 2.0. I still believe all the other platforms claiming solutions have big security issues that people will only find out later when something breaks.
Although etherem has fallen by 50%, and most likely the percentage decline will still continue, but I never believe that etherem will die and sink from crypto, I think this decline is a very good opportunity to buy etherem, because I believe if the crypto market has recovered then ETH will increase and will create a new ATH again, and it will apply to other altcoins as well
Right, while the price of Ethereum is low, then it is a good time for us to invest and invest more on ETH. The decline of ETH is not really because of its decline or issues with Ethereum, but rather it is a response by all alts in the low of Bitcoin price. So I guess, in my opinion, Bitcoin is still a big influencing factor in the price of the alts. I think that it will take a very long time for Ethereum to falter and die a slow death. The only problem with alts is that many competitors like to be the top spot of the best alt next to bitcoin and ETH, while it is still the top of the alts for many years, is not exempted from being dethroned by powerful competitors.
My personal idea this year maybe the first months of next year ethereum will go up to 10K and beyond , it all depends on bitcoin, but if the bitcoin as many predict were to rise above 100K dollars most likely ethereum will rise to 10 thousand dollars. Mark what i say.
