I am a long term supporter  of Ethereum and  know that it is the most trusted network to create smart contracts but the kind of Huge fees for withdrawal and swapping of tokens, we have to nowadays due to slow network or congestion , is going to make it unpopular coin in coming months and other networks like, Binance, EOS, Polka Dot may take its place . The issue with Ethereum is that its developers are trying to scale running Blockchain which is like repairing a car while driving.
Eth is just going through its revamping phase so we need to support this as it will become an advanced blockchain solutions provider as full eth 2.0 upgrades are complete so personally im not worried about the competitors and i do not think that eth is facing any threat for its survival.

Very well said. The aim of Ethereum 2.0 is to shift from miners to Proof of stake. PoS), because it is far more Energy efficient compared to Proof of work. Hopefully, it will also solve the problem of scalability and security. How much it will succeed to reduce Gas and transaction fee, that remains to be seen.

As long as there is still supply and demand then ethereum will not die, it's just that there is one thing about ethereum for now and that is the high cost of gas, I hope the developers are working behind the scenes and this problem will be resolved soon. because we were excited to see the ethereum green signal but not happy to see the high cost.

I don't think that Ethereum will die. Recently, Ethereum 2.0 has been launched. I believe that we will see its effects on the price on a large scale. I expect the price will go over 1k and we could even see ath in the near future. As long as Ethereum stays updated, I don't think it will die.

Ethereum still has the active team so I am not so sure if Ethereum will going to die someday even if it is not doing good as of this moment because of the problem with their transactions and fees.

But if the other currencies will do their best to challenge the ranking of Ethereum then they still have a chance especially that XRP was able to replace Ethereum in the past but Ethereum was able to recover again it's #2 ranking. But right now in terms of Ethereum going to die, I guess the chances is very low.

Ethereum going to die? I doubt it if it's ever going to happen any time soon. The only thing I can say it hat with the latest development with lots of Developers. They could come up with something more less disappointing. One of the major problem I'm having personally is the sudden rise in gas fees using a ETH blockchain technology. It's way to much and the price of ETH compared to the way Bitcoin has been doing well lately. One would have think ETH should be close to a thousand dollars now. But reverse is the case.

when we talk about only Ethereum as a coin it is not dying, it is following Bitcoin .Now it is trading above 600$ and moving towards about its ATH. yes if we talk about Ethereum network it is paining us with its Gas fee, slow transaction ,transaction failure. If eth overcome all these things then it is always number 2.

IMO ETH 2.0 will overcome all of that problem, but maybe the price will drop after that. Because so many eth staked and Nobody want to make the price higher since no miner reward, dont know, just my opinions
The developers have promised that the upcoming ETH 2.0 will definitely overcome all of the problems and issues to its network, such as high gas fees. Also, Ethereum is one of the top coins in the crypto market next to bitcoin; that is why Ethereum will not die because many projects are using its platform to run and create decentralized applications and enable smart contracts.

Yeah, but is Ethereum still interesting for the traders? Since traders isnt hodler, they do daily trade. And mostly ethereum is staked means there will be huge amount of ethereum locked and cant be traded. i dont know, how to describe it more clearly.

To slowly phase out Ethereum is the whole point of creating ETH 2.0
Same way Sunny King created VeChain (VET) and let Peercoin die a slow and painful dead. Was number 3 now 600 something.
At some stage there simply want be any official updates, but as always no pay no music.

I am sure that the favorable market situation and the Etherium 2.0 update will bring results, and very soon we will see ETH break through the historical price maximum. The project is still one of the most promising today.
Eth is one of the promising coin in the market next to bitcoin. If ever bitcoin will die then pretty sure ETH will be there as the next to bitcoin to take place with what's bitcoin left. We know that bitcoin supply is limited only and that if people bitcoin holdings will be lock forever in blockchain due to being forgotten and that no one can access that coin and left like that forever then bitcoin will going to face that kind of problem. So, once bitcoin collapse then it will all be the ETH to reign in replacement to bitcoin.

^ Ethereum going to die is an illusion, wake up soon.

Ethereum is the future of crypto it is the next big coin after bitcoin tracing back to it origin far back to 2015 when it was just $0.4 for 1 Ethereum, today it's $621 and still going high as predicted. we all doubted bitcoin at first between 2009 and 2010 and missed the chance of becoming a billionaire today the opportunity is here again with Ethereum.
even though new Altcoins continue to appear with their perfection, Ethereum will not be replaced. the thing that I regret the most is that I was late getting to know Bitcoin and Ethereum, Ethereum will touch ATH again when eth 2.0 launches.
I remember this time in 2016 when bitcoin was fluctuating from$700-800  I bought my first 0.05btc @$50 my crypto experience then was so shallow and got scammed few days later thru Ponzi. Time to buy Eth for the future

The competition can be very fierce for Ethereum as all these platforms are ready to create better terms for developers. Ethereum is stil the top and while I read big promises coming from Polkadot I've read similar coming from Tron, EOS and even Binance that were all considered Ethereum killers.
I understand Ethereum has flaws and it is recognized by everyone that scaling is important. A game developer would see his creation suffer with high fees and every Ethereum DApp is still suffering. Even DeFi didn't reach full potential because fees didn't allow everyone to participate, moreover didn't allow cryptocurrency enthusiasts to even test their platforms as fees for each transcation were reaching $20 and even higher at times.

DIE is just a word that is not basic! It is meaningless, Ethereum will not die,
because there are many ecosystems running on the Ethereum network,
Ethereum is very different from a dead coin like Bitconnect! so you must understand this!

many times we said about ethereum die , but ethereum still alive till now on and even its price growth alot. as major coin which is its platform used by many project , ethereum will stay alive for long time . although we see new competitor everyday but it could not beat this project.
I didn't think Ethereum would die, their platform would continue to be used and of course that would also keep Ethereum alive, especially when Ethereum 2.0 is launched, many say it will make the Ethereum network better. Their competitors cannot compete with Ethereum, where Ethereum already has a very good team and community.

Difficult to killed Ethereum where it is the number 1 crypto that use the platform over the world in with regards to eth blockchain. For me, Ethereum will continue to contribute the crypto world into a better place now and even tomorrow. The system is adopted by new coins because they know that Erc20 platform is the common use and friendly users. Ethereum will not die in fact it will go and achieve more successes.

I am sure the developers themselves are always looking for a wise solution for more efficient transaction efficiency in some Ethereum network operations, this is deemed necessary where every transaction requires either a transaction fee and for ETH itself it is still very strong despite the ongoing hype and high gas costs and fluctuating.

This is the kind of fix that they think will do good for the network they know better than we are so let's leave it to that, yes we do encounter a big fee and a slow confirmation but it's not permanent if you see that the fee is expensive you can delay it and wait some minutes it will eventually gets lower, I don't think Ethereum is going to die this is 2020 and the project has a gone a long way and they will always find a way.
