Yes, check the news, the price of Ethereum already changed almost 100% only this year and more changes coming price will go 3x or more until the end of this year, ETH can be the best crypto of 2020 easy.
I am big time follower of ethereum from initial days i was holding ethereum even the price less than 100$ and also i was holding ethereum at the price of 1500$ . But based on recent development i am highly speculative ethereum price after 2.0 release . Once POS introduced the problem of scalability will be solved Maximum supply will be fixed . So i am slowly investing on ethereum from my savings part by part reasons are below

Ethereum is really one of the cryptocurrency with lots of utility and Usecases across the entire crypto market, just like how you outlined in your write-up, the completion and release of ethereum 2.0 will greatly redefine the entire cryptocurrency sector with it's advance features to enable faster transactions, easily accessible smart contracts plugins and scalability. I would like to know if you can stake Ethereum coins and also lock them in MakerDao smart-contract to get DAI tokens. Then it would be really nice way how to maximize profit and leverage your cryptocurrency position. 
That's a good idea for this time but I'm not sure people are willing to stake their ethereum into the maker dao to get the DAI tokens after POS 2.0 ethereum. as far as I know if when people lock their ethereum in to get dai means they used their ethereum to participate in lending service. 
if for long-term investment, ethereum is one of the most appropriate altcoins, even I also started investing in ethereum using some savings and some bounties

It is just the same for me, no doubt ETH is the best choice for investing in. ETH is the second cryptocurrency after BTC and more than that top altcoins like ETH are always valuable. I'm also a big fan of ETH. But like everybody I'm also waiting for the ETH2.0 update, maybe it will also affect the ETH price, we can make double profit from ETH investment at the time.
I agree with you about ethereum is the best choice for altcoin, investing in the top altcoin is the best choice. ethereum is the best altcoin of all altcoins, so it is worth investing in ethereum, but there other top altcoins that are also good like NEO, BNB, XRP but ethereum is still the best choice. ethereum has been known for a long time and is one that is very resistant to pressure because of how well they manage. but if the choice of all tokens is clearly bitcoin is the main choice, because all altcoin is still affected by bitcoin is no exception with ethereum itself.

Beautifully explained in a to the point manner, I have been an Eth supporter just like you and I think that there can not be a better time to buy or accumulate more and more Eth than right now. I am also trying to buy more as often as i can with fiat or if any of my other alt pumps i try to exchange it for eth. Last night I was learning about the ETH erc777:

I invested in Ethereum but not that as heavily as others are doing. I think also that PoS will bring significant improvement for Ethereum not just through its smart contract and everything that it can work for.

For me, so far this is the best use of Ethereum.That's why Ethereum is still on the highest volume for smart contract cryptocurrency, some other cryptocurrency that has smart contract feature is base on Ethereum or just a copycat, just why I am also a believer of Ethereum.
Some quality altcoins there also using Ethereum, which Ethereum makes more popular and quality as well. It really built for a smart contract in the first place.
There are many great coins that is running under ethereum network, but I guess people will just look at the ethereum itself since ethereum is the main line.
Of course, in my opinion ETH is the second best investment after BTC. on the other hand I think you have a good reason and the right decision to choose ethereum for future investment. I personally have never doubted this altcoin ethereum, in fact I have added a few Ethereums when it costs $ 130.
Let's see how they are going to deal with the transaction fee discussions. They keep saying they have improved it already and they have increased the capacity and many other stuff about how awesome it is right now compared to past.
However, let's remember users are not really here to just use it until the capacity and stop, they will definitely test the maximum for sure. This new staking version will cause it to have a lot of big tests over the limits of it and the cost of transaction could rival bitcoin at this pace if there is nothing done about it. No matter how much they improve ethereums blockchain, it will probably not be enough when we are talking about staking, everyone's computers would just be open and ... that's it, that is not really enough of a power to make them all fast.

You cannot really go wrong by investing in ethereum, however at the same time even if a coin is a good investment it does not necessarily means it will give you profits right away, during the last year there was only a few days in which the price of ethereum surpassed 300 dollars for each coin if you are interested on investing in ethereum for the long term then this could be a good opportunity to buy it, however if you are focusing on short term profits then it does not seem like there is much upside for ethereum now and it could be a good idea to wait for the price to go below 200 before investing in it. 1) Inflation in global curreny or fiat curreny ( ehtereum and bitcoin is best alternative invetment solution )

Honestly, Ethereum is few of those coin you can count on for long time investment. Much like Bitcoin , Ethereum has become increasingly popular in recent years as people fully accept cryptocurrencies. Ether has indeed been traded publicly since 2016 which is one of the biggest digital products. Ethereum will continue to proliferate and as price increases and demand increases.
I’m one of those who invest in ethereum until now, although there are many altcoins in the market. This is one altcoin that good to follow it's path for the future. So since the update is coming to this project let's just hope for the improvement and progress of price. Good thing you benefited and earn profit from this altcoin and still, you accumulate ethereum as what I did also.
ethereum currently has uncertain price movements and many cases say that ethereum has no progress that can trigger investors to buy more ethereum, you can see that at this time many prefer to establish an ethereum mining company that aims to sell and profit from mining while if only like that then ethereum will collapse someday. stay alert to risks like that that can happen at any time without your knowledge.

It's good for investment because there could be a possibility that this new complex system might be useful to these, Dapp, the DAO, ICOs/IEOs and now the DeFi. It's totally worth it to hoard this ETH to your portfolio.

Ethereum got what it takes to grow better through it's upcoming 2.0 upgrade, few days ago when Bitcoin almost hit 10k Ethereum hits 250$ or 249$, it's been a long time that Ethereum was this bullish last, with the upcoming Proof of Stake Algorithm many people will keep buying for sure, even whales will keep filling their bags.
