Absolutely agree with you. As I think such judgments are more susceptible to beginners after a major loss. Exactly. This has been the most misunderstood reality by most of the gamblers.
Land based casinos are supposed to be where you pay for entertainment and winning some cash is just a bonus while enjoying the environment. This same reason why most luxurious casinos are tied with 5 star hotels, because that's where tourist and rich people go and one of the places for leisure is the casino.
Now, for the online gambling, I don't think it's even close as fun as land based casinos, so, most people in online gambling are actually aiming to win cash.

Gambling is not a scam as long as we fully understand what it is and what it will bring us. Definition of scam is something that is deceiving though it may run in a system that resembles scam or it really is but that is always up to us if we are getting fooled by it. It is our own personal choice to get involved on it so we should be aware of it. We already know what is right and wrong therefore choosing what is goof for us is all our full responsibility. It is the matter of our decision whether we use our hard earned money or not so for me it is not a scam. At least you have your conclusion right. Gambling is scam in the sense that no one can predicts the future and despite that bullshit saying that many quit gambling before hitting their max win is not true as I have been playing since the early 2000-s and so far never hit the max win despite a couple of times going near it.
