Personally, I believe gambling should be seen as a game, not a habit or an easy access to wealth, " using son as a bet" is the height of it, People should learn about gambling before they start, the same way we learnt about careers, we should learn the act of gambling.

I mean, do you really need to ask? The people that you know that obtained such fortune through gambling are either extremely lucky or skilled, and if they have retained that wealth for a long amount of time then we can safely say they are not addicted, since an addicted gambler may win hundreds of millions but give it enough time and they will lose it all, so make no mistake, regardless of the circumstances, getting addicted to anything is never a healthy option.

I'm surprised Op asked this question, but it's clear that addiction is not good in any aspect. Even though people make money through gambling it's hard to achieve that via addiction. Most players who are addicted always face multiple challenges which prevents them from winning. Loss of money is highly invoke for such gamblers and they are mainly in pains.
