Guldens ranking goes down when btc goes up and today it goes down when btc goes down. I believe the coin has hit it's peak for the next few months. Won't post again until next year as this coin is a dead fish.
Talk to you next year

April, 08 2014: 0.000400 USD
April, 08 2015: 0.001144 USD
April, 08 2016: 0.002084 USD
April, 08 2017: 0.030600 USD

Lets be honest, most of the crypto community is unpatient. Most of them do not actually want real marketing. They want fast marketing, even unthruthful if needed, for a weak product to dump @10x-20x
When you think about it, Gulden, even with such little marketing has created more awareness outside crypto than many other coins.

Rijk decided to go is way and take is distance from most crypto communities, can u really blame him?  And, actually most critics are not critics, they are just frustrated opinions, who do not like Rijk way of doing things.
Whereas a lot of devs and CEO he is still here and doing is work. The fact that he wants to protect himself and think long term, is totally ok, why shouldn´t it be?

Think big or go home!

Marketing is not only social media presence. Think about it marketing is already 10 times better than most of the coins out there, and the serious part as not even started. There is not point in advertising if the product is not ready. Time will tell, but if Gulden becomes huge, then Rijk strategy was spot on!

Rijk uses slaves for devs and targets the poorest people in the streets. Why else does the ranking on coinmarketcap keep dropping?

Down to 128, it was 120 yesterday. The trend is not good. Why not market to the large btc holders instead of people with no money?
Huh
"...targets the poorest people in the streets"
First, street advertising or mass marketing has not even really started. And, there are not only poor people on the streets!
"Rijk uses slaves for devs..." wow...please explain...If so I think Rijk slaves have more BTC and Gulden then most people in crypto. Which would mean that being Rijk´s slaves is actually not so bad!

Target large BTC holders, that is a very creative strategy! Please do go deeper...

Large BTC holders are the future richest people on earth, getting at least 5 of them to support your project will be worth more then 10 000 peasants who will cash out at 5% - 15% profits as was posted by TimBurton on the Gulden slack. Mainstream people with fiat think anything greater then 5% profit is reason to sell everything, crypto investors at least wait for 100-1000% profits, they allow the price to grow. More crypto investors that believe in your project the stronger the foundations of this coin will be. Rijk turning his back on crypto investors is dangerous and looking at the CMC rankings Gulden could of been doing far better then it is now. GRS without any marketing is higher then Gulden but GRS respected BTC investors with deep pockets and it's paying off.

Rijk is like the saviour for the downtrodden. Gulden does have a lot of users , more then most cryptos but they ordinary people with small bank accounts.

With the old slack it was traders in the trading channel dumping on 5% profits and buying in at 10% lower then what they sold for. At this stage they buying more gulden and winning by forcing the price down at the expense and health of the coin.

Biomike also made 90 000 NLG trading on the down. Aslong as these negative forces exist it will be hard for Gulden to be a top 20 ranked coin.

I see what your saying about people selling withmĺ a slight increase in price. It's going to take a lot of btc to move to the next level. It's quite a predicament to be in.

The only solution if this carries on is to reduce the PoW reward to 20?

We don't need Gulden when we've got other coins. If you are in for the quick buck, make a Geertcoin (you know to which blonde guy I'm referring). I guess that's the only way to trick Hollanders (Dutchies) in to buying a national crapcoin  Grin

Lol you made me laugh so hard at this one. I think a geert coin would be awesome. a coin of freedom lol.

ot: I think gulden would be a nice investment, but it's a tricky coin since there are not many investors with it. I would try if i were you. 10 euro for 119 gulden.

Gulden is quite cool, I haven't kept much up with the project, but I remember when I first heard of it and used their service. It was super easy to buy cryptocurrencies by using any of their online payment methods, you have so many options in the Netherlands, that basically anyone can easily buy/sell crypto without incurring very high fees. I think Gulden though as that advantage, that it's based in the Netherlands were the laws about cryptocurrencies are very lax, and they give businesses a lot of leeway to do whatever they want. It's one of the reasons why the country is doing so well economically as well, they embrace new technologies and are not afraid to see innovation in the finance sectors, like America or China is.

Is he controlling or simply navigating the ship?
I mean he created the ship, he is the captain. Is it really bad to have a captain? Should he do like many other and give fake direction or faking navigating?

I'm here since the beginning of Gulden... you tell me what he actually does in the development process... I can't tell. He just came up with the idea and sits on a bag of money... coding is done by others in South Africa.

He actually came up with the idea to build a ship. Then he got a bunch of people together to think of a way to build it. Then he gave even more people the idea that if they invested their money in it they could actually participate in the project. Once he made sure he had all the cash safely in his pocket and the ship was ready enough to set sail he kicked everyone off that even thought to be able to discuss the course. He only kept those on board who would blindly do as they are told, because he obviously could not handle the ship all by himself.

Every once in a while some of the people on board get restless asking themselves if the ship is going in the right direction. They see the "Captain" avoiding every route they like because he hates to encounter whales. If one of those people dare to put this up for discussion, he get's thrown into the ocean.

It is really a perspective thing. You can see it as you see it or see it as measures which maybe had to be made.
About the money being made, I think a lot made money on Gulden. If Rijk had only money in mind, he would have been long gone.
We will see if the decision were the right ones!

If the ship is not ready to sail off why would you decide to leave the shore. There is no point in making deals with whales. where do you start and wheredo u end. You know it will backfire. Honestly, if you have long term goals you can not start granting whales special treatements.

I do not care who is doing the coding, if it is good coding. Gulden has it´s own pace as you may know.
I have seen a lot of evolution and I like what I see. Risk is obviously involved when you invest in young companies or cryptos.
It is a bet on the future of Gulden, and I am betting it will succeed!

I do agree on some points but I think Rijk is not turning is back on crypto community but rather protecting is project and keeping developement behind close doors! Which also gets weak hands to dump and true believers do step in and hodl. Of course not every investors is happy with this strategy.

Crypto community and big investors do not get enough visibility or insiders info to step in. Rijk is doing this because he has a long term strategy. He knows that by playing with the whales you lose partly control over your project.

I think big crypto holders know about Gulden but have been waiting on the sidelines or accumulating.

Correction, he needs to have total control over everything! That includes the community, the pre-mine, the websites, the media and hell even who gets to use the men's room. It's his party and everyone has to keep listening to his crying forever.

Whales don't like cry babies with narcist dictatorial behavior, that's why Gulden keeps dropping on CMC.

I think Rijk also knows that there is a lot of manipulation out there. You have to protect yourself. Of course this protection can be interpreted as a weakness.
But you can also see it as a long term strategy which Rijk decided to manage himself. That it does not suit a few whales it is obvious. I do not think whales see Rijk as a cry baby. Yes he is dictating the way for Gulden, are people force to invest? No...

I think it is all about perspective. And, maybe you might be scared that Gulden succeeds and that u see it in 4 month in top 30.

Serious investors look for long term growth and stability, others like Biomike have been calling for Gulden team to get a company going because when regulation and tax directives start coming AND they will , 99.9% of all the other coins are going to be in serious trouble. Seeing the Gulden.com B.V was more important then the iOS update for me personally. It shows Rijk is most likely already paying taxes.

This puts Gulden in a very strong position.

As for no rich people, I could easily keep the price at 3000sat for the next 5 years but serious investors know not to manipulate a serious project and there is many more like me that feel this way. It needs to grow naturally, Gulden is more then about making quick profits.

@Zonefan, thanks for telling me I'm not a serious investor. ;-)

I think most people that time told Rijk to start a foundation, not a B.V. But glad he finally did something that should have been done years ago.

It will be interesting to see if the pre-mine is part of the B.V.?

A foundation would have ment Rijk had to share control with others. He now has a BV to avoid massive personal losses on tax bills, but still has full control. The BV is owned by a holding and guess who is the sole beneficiary of that? Do I also need to tell you who is the only director in control of it?

Please explain how would you only target poor people? And, even if he would, it would still be a respectful move.

That's a bit of "joke" regarding the fact that he told multiple Dutch entrepreneurs (non-crypto related) to GTFO. You know, the kind with connections, successful companies and such.
