I'm having some problems with HITBTC. The first is that I lost 0.01 BTC there, I have sent some support with some evidence but no response and it's been more than 3 weeks. Second, I always fail to do KYC there, even though my documents are fine for other exchanges such as Binance, Kucoin and several other exchanges.

Count your lucky stars that this is only 0.01 BTC and not something major.

I used to also use HitBTC as it was one of the only exchanges for BCH when the fork initially came out and I wanted to liquidate those coins at the nearest instance. Took a huge risk as there was already some accusations at the time but ended up going okay.

It's a bit of a gamble and unfortunately you're on the losing end. Try to keep bugging the support and get them to give you definitive answers, that's the best you can do.

If I am not wrong, You are new at Hitbtc. They are doing it with a newbie account most of the time. They also did this kind of shit with the old members but my luck was fine that they cant able to do anything with me or my fund.

Will you share more details on how you lost 0.01 BTC at Hitbtc? I mean more details will help for a good discussion. If you check the Exchange section in this forum, You can easily know how many people facing problems with Hitbtc. I am no more with Hitbtc, and most of the people are already out from Hitbtc. Check this thread https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/hitbtccom-the-most-advanced-cryptocurrency-exchange-378827 Try to read some latest posts. This post is made by Hitbtc, also don't forget to check the reputation of OP. You can see a lot of people suffering from various problems with Hitbtc. KYC is one of their big problems.

@tabas >> yes, I will never use this exchange again
That's much better. With all of those bad reviews that have been given to them and with your personal experience. That would really be more than enough not to try them anymore.

@noorman0 >> my frozen funds there 0.01 BTC of which $70 is my remaining balance there. Ok I will try to contact MrWhiteBites, maybe he can help with my problem
@seramania >> of course it was HITBTC's fault because for the first 3 days my balance was safe and then suddenly disappeared
@Hamphser >> all I know is the fees are very expensive, I didn't expect it to happen like this
@tabas >> yes, I will never use this exchange again
@Bitcoin_Arena >> I've checked everything and it's in the history too

I used to be a user of HitBTC. I never had any major issues with them until I came back to the platform after being inactive for more than a year, I think. That was when they asked me to submit KYC. And it was understandable. Since I had a little fund left there, I just complied and was quickly approved.

Apparently, however, this is not the kind of experience a lot had with the exchange. HitBTC has a lot of complaints, so many so that I assume there is indeed an issue with them. I think the exchange needs improvement especially about their support system. It is better that one avoids this exchange.

For so many bad claims posted here regarding on their costumer experience I erase that exchange as my trading platform to trade option since I don't want to get any problem to the money I trade, but since you got an issue there maybe better to move on and think about its lose amount since actually Hitbtc support is so slow or unresponsive so maybe you will just get a head ache for chasing them. So better next time spend your money wisely and go to top tier exchange.

Yes, HitBTC is bad exchange you will never get your fund back, sorry for your lose, I never get issues with them but many bad review about their service in recent times, you can still contact them but don't hope to much.

my deposit was successful and I started trading there but after 3 days my balance suddenly disappeared, I checked history and no transactions came out, this is very strange right!
in hitbtc there are two types of balance, main balance and trading balance, you have to check all of them maybe your balance is still on trading balance.

Did you try checking the trading history as well?

And your account activity records (Active Sessions and Your recent activity)?
Under settings >> security

There is still a possibility that someone logged into your account but didn't withdraw your money directly, but instead traded it off.

I won't say bad per say but a very high transaction fee exchange, i have only done very few transaction and the charges were not friendly at all, perhaps their customer service are not as responsive as you may want it to be which applies to several other exchange, maybe you should keep trying and also try their social media accounts to see if you will get a response. now that we have several dex and cex i have even forgotten hitbtc exist.

Just "lost"? You are not telling your complete side of the story. You cant just deposit coins on an exchange and have them "lost" - you either sent those coins to a phishing site which cloned HitBTC pretty well or you lost money when trading on margin which has been recently started there. Either way it would be a fault from your side, because if it was not, then the exchange would have restored the money.

hitBTC is not that shady that they will outright rob their users' funds like that so stop lying.

Second, I always fail to do KYC there,
Then why are you still using them?

I feel this post is just to add mind-made accusations on HitBTC, I know they are shady but they are not scamming users like that. If you are having some genuine problems, you can post on their telegram channel too, it is pretty active and they might be able to solve it.

I have joined and asked the admin there and their answer is the same "please send support"
I've given up and maybe I should forget the rest of the money is there now even though it's pretty big around $70

my advice for everyone to stay away from hitbtc so as not to have problems like me in the future
That's the amount that you'll take as a lesson of learning that you shouldn't use them anymore. What a poor support, when you've asked them for help, they'll pinpoint to the support as well.
Use a better exchange like Binance.

First question..

Why you have considered on making a deposit into this exchange despite of those older reputable platforms that you have deposited like Binance?

If you are considering on buying up some altcoins then its a viable reason but i cant really just afford to trust up Hitbtc even though i dont have any bad experiences with it
but the thing that makes me gap on this exchange is into their horrendous fees.

If you do try to look their main thread then they do have some complaints about these similar issues and another. You dont have any choice but to wait up.

I left the HitBtc exchange long ago after they went bad and there were lots of accusations about bad comments, but I was lucky to never leave any funds there so when it's withdrawn all and transferred to another exchange it's much safer and I think a lot of awkwardness happens when it goes on and on received notification login to HitBtc account on I never opened it.

So what the OP is complaining about is that it's a bad trade-off, but I hope it can be reclaimed after making attempts to withdraw it, even if KYC is denied it will continue to contact their support.

That is the mistake we usually makes i will advise you before moving out your funds to any exchange out there please try all best possible to pass their KYC or knowing more rules about their withdrawal terms and conditions.
i have really learnt from my past experience while trying to withdraw some of coin from exchange after which i have to undergo all necessary KYC process.

HITBTC is indeed an imperfect exchange. I faced a problem at HITBTC but I was able to solve it even though it took a long time, but maybe you can try contacting HITBTC cs to be able to ask for help and immediately do KYC. or if you fail you can contact HITBTC social media or the HITBTC community. I want to ask, you lost 0.01 BTC what's the problem? Is it purely HITBTC's fault or your own fault?

One of the proven scam site here in forum , a not to trust Exchange in our time now , I remember the days when HitBTC is still a good exchange but those days are gone and now they are facing multiple claims of troubles upon their deposit and withdrawals.
but you should clarify how you lose that 0.01 bitcoin in their site so comparison from other victims will come .

I saw that user MrWhiteBites managed to withdraw his 1.5 btc which Hitbtc had frozen, and he is open to receiving PMs from someone with the same problem. You can contact him, maybe you will get a hint.
I think you should try again as you already sent them KYC as a recovery effort, even if it get rejected doesn't mean your ID will be deleted.

But wait, I'm confused how much of your funds were frozen, is it 0.01 btc, only $70 or the accumulation of both?

You didn't give details how you lost the BTC. is it that you sent it and it failed to be deposited or your account was compromised? I have an account there but will never trade there due to poor support reviews, coupled with high withdrawal fees.
my deposit was successful and I started trading there but after 3 days my balance suddenly disappeared, I checked history and no transactions came out, this is very strange right!

Just try to take a direct conversation with HITBTC admin on telegram group. I hope your problem will be solved as soon as possible.

why are you trying to use them in the first place? hitbtc is shady as hell and the cs is non-existent in most cases. unless you're trading some shady shitcoins that are not listed except on hitbtc i see no reason to do that. if i were you, i might as well use p2p and pay $100 for a single trade instead of using them.

It seems like that you need to give more effort to push the team. You can try to join in the official telegram group of hitbtc and then try to ask the admin directly to escalate your ticket

https://t.me/EN_HitBTC

There are lots of people who have been doing the same thing as you. I shall remind you that you must never use a lot of money when you are wanna dealing with this kind of exchange site.
Im still using hitbtc but i was using this one only for short term trade.

Just try to take a direct conversation with HITBTC admin on telegram group. I hope your problem will be solved as soon as possible.
