Humanity is not gone. There are lots of room for optimism. Most times when we hear of killings and massacres going on in some climes we are tempted to say that humanity is lost. But no, no matter how sane a society is, you must always find mad men. What we need is resilience and continuous insistence on best practice. The world cannot afford to lose its humanity. In the midst of the chaos I believe we can still find a flicker of light. Light will always prevail over darkness.

Nice question! But why do you mean when you say humanity? Humans just like any other species on the planet has three basic instincts
1. Eating/Drinking
2. Sleeping
3. Reproducing
Anything other than that, for e.g. morals, ethics, humanity etc. we’re all devised by people who had sufficient food in their stomach. You stop eating for a couple days and your humanity goes poof!  Grin
Hence humans were, are and will always be the same ole pricks'  Cheesy It’s just that due to media and Internet we get to see them more often than we would like to Wink

No it will never be gone.there are some people want to help but its kinda hard for them cuz they have priority..their family..

yes family comes first. but sometimes, even though we do something humane, still people around us tend to look at it as something with hidden motive, but whats really true is that we are doing it sincerely.

it is true that among the people of today there is no sense of humanity, they are more selfish and the impact of that is the increasing number of cases such as murder, looting and cruelty are mutilations .. well, such a thing is bad because there is no humanity embedded in modern humans, hopefully we can avoid it and can solve the problem problem with cold head in order to reduce the bad things that will happen

You're talking about a portion of humanity. Not all are like how you've seen it. Humanity is very muh alive through simple good things peoplr do for each other. Of course you won't see these things in the news as it's easier to sell negative ones, but every single day people are doing things to keep that fire well burning

Everywhere we see double faced people. People help you but it seems like they always have an motive behind it. Is humanity really gone?

We are living in a generation full with crimes and evil deeds. However, I still believe that humanity is still existing. There are people who still show selflesness and concern to others. Humanity must start from within us. It existed and the past and I still believe that it isn't possible for us to spread it.

Humanity still lives in the heart of those who really hopes that everyone will one day become united again without double crossing each other anymore. I believe and hope that this is gonna happen in the near future.

Yes but you are seeking out these double faced people that is why you see them. For all people like this there are equally 10 people who are good in nature just for the sake of being good. Do seek out these people too they will

help give faith in the balance of life Smiley

Nope. There were a lot of good Samaritan that will restore your faith in humanity. Greedy people use others for their own benefits, while some selfless people helped others even if they have nothing left for themselves. They still exist.

It may seem like there's no hope for humanity but aside from all of what we see in today's generation there are still those that stand out from the rest of the world's inhumane acts. Its just that the majority of the population consists of people that are cruel and merciless, beings that feed on others weaknesses but dont lose hope.. i know that good will prevail in the end.

Exactly. Human instinct, selfishness. Everyone has thinks of himself first before thinking about others and worser than that is because of selfishness they could not even do a single act of kindness without being paid in cash or in kind. Every actions they make to help you, they are always expecting something in return. But i dont generalize, i know there are still pure hearted people who believe in love or charity.
The fact is that to date very few people rely on each other. And this is not because no one wants to do this, but simply because humanity has lost its humanity. People have become callous and withdrawn in their world.

With everything in hands the technology has grown, but when it comes to humanity it has been vanishing slowly. An example is that people have friends overseas but they doesn't know the one who lives next door. If someone asks about the person living next door, an simple answer comes, that's none of my duty. This is how humanity at present.

I think I have no hope for the bad guys around me. They have every purpose of asking me something. I was disappointed with them. I really do not want to know them. But I have to try, try to think positively.

I do not know your friends how? But the people I know are very good, if they are not good I will not play with them, I have the right to choose the friends that I want. If your friend is not good then you can don't  play with them

We have been locked in a state of competitive cooperation for at least 30 million years. If there are sabertooth tigers and 2000 kg bears prowling around you don't really mind that Frank has a bigger club and all the chicks like him, because he increases your chance of survival and you getting some left-overs. In most developed societies we have no natural predators left to worry about, so the more competitive bit of the competitive cooperation takes the wheel and Frank uses all tools at his disposal to buy himself a private jet and take all your women.

It is incredibly hard to make it from scratch and ripping off your fellow humans is the accepted (even admired) way of functioning, most of it is legal. If you're with the government... almost everything is legal. If it isn't, by off-chance, they can make it legal.

Problem with the powerful making the rules so they can become even more powerful is that once you push the people too far, they will rise up and tear you down. But our overlords learned their lesson well (looking at you, French revolution). Now they take extra good care that people aren't hungry and that they are moderately amused. They also have some tools the Roman empire or France didn't have at the time for kicking the problem down the road.

It's a recurring theme in our history. The powerful get corrupted, then taken down and replaced by less corrupted, who in turn get corrupted by power and need to be taken down themselves. For the first time in history the overlords have tools that can eliminate the dissenting portion of the population, Orwell wrote 1984, but he was overly optimistic. It will be more likely 2024.

If all transactions will be on blockchains and the blockchain backed by government guns, the government will control everything. Here in the west, we still live with some dangerous delusions. Internet isn't as uncontrollable as it used to be, it has grown too big, the costs of keeping it up are staggering and only huge corporations can afford the hardware. Some government pressure at even a single point can put any decentralisation out. We think that the strongarm moves we can see coming from China can't happen here, but they can and they will. Again.

why do you talk about it as if it were happening right now
Do you really think that when it was different and the nature of people was changed?
