I'm holding altcoins just for diversification reasons so that I have some other holdings while waiting for bitcoin's skyrocket. But I disagree to you that bitcoin cannot dominate more than 80% of the market. You will see it within few years when most of the people are into holding bitcoin instead of altcoins. That will increase the demand and the total dominance of bitcoin in this market.
Unlike the market scenario it is always a good choice to make an investment over altcoins. Whether we'll get an opportunity to profit similar to 2017 or not, we'll get assured profiting if we've got the potential to hold the assets fixing some target price to be reached. Along with the same there needs to be an alternative plan with which we can profit if the market isn't moving as predicted.
in my opinion investing in altcoin for 2019 is still worth it, because this year I saw cryptocurrency begin to recover and the price slowly increased, so I'm sure if in 2019 there will be a bull run that makes people investing in altcoin and hold from 2018 will return get a profit and of course in 2019 I hope the increase in altcoin price will be like in 2017 and the price will continue to increase without a decline until the following year.

Well, I agree with you and there's no more nothing to say. This is why I invested so much of my money in Ethereum.
it is very feasible now that all altcoins have experienced a very high down and altcoin with good projects has also experienced this decline which is good to hold because if the price of bitcoin is stable all altcoins will be pumped to the highest price because 2019 will be like 2017
I think it's still worthy to invest in altcoins and I also think that it's only not about top listed altcoins in this market many altcoins available , majority of the tokens are altcoins. So where to invest. With altcoin many new ideas come to this space they are not working as just a asset they are trying to make crypto as long as blockchain technology greater. So supporting this projects or altcoins means supporting the whole blockchain ecosystem. And I know there is many failed or scam projects but still there are many projects which make this whole ecosystem better.
Of course, it`s worthy to invest in altcoins this and in the next years. This is only the beginning of crypto adoption, there will be not enough bitcoins, ethereums and other top coins for everyone, there will be a huge need for many other coins too.

If this market just has only Bitcoin, it will never grow. When Bitcoin grow, Altcoins will also grow and total market grow together. Beside that, Altcoin investment channel usually bring the profit more than Bitcoin. So, if this market still survive, Atlcoin is always worth to invest

For me, it's a yes! because there many altcoins who gradually arouse to its market like neo and etherium which is we could notice they keep going and now eth heading into $300. Bitcoincash as well is persistently increased its been month this alts keep rising but in slow movement, I believe its not too late to invest on it or any kind of alts. For more altcoins to watch we may visit coinmarketcap where we could see a lots potential coins.
