I am also still doubtful about it, I am also not the right person. When I get the victory, I consider it is luck and do not consider gambling a bad thing. But when I get defeated, I always think gambling is the worst thing ever. So I still can not be sure, is gambling a sin? or not?

Is gambling OK? Don't bet it! There's not an easy or instantly obvious proof text answer to that question.

Yes gambling is a sin because your your attitude as a gambler is selfishness. No gambler wants to be a loser.Gamblers always aim to be a winner, ofcourse they want to win the game and make plenty of their money. The're aiming to get all the money. So they are selfcentered they want to win all what they say. Also you are to attempt to make a sin of many temptation sorrounds you. So that gambling is a sin.
Just because of the winning opportunity associated with it people prefer gambling, else we cannot find a single user into the gambling websites or gambling houses. Our bitcoin has made it easier and I don't find this to be a sin, because when people know his limitations and spend accordingly nothing goes wrong.

That is just an overstatement especially when you consider one thing as a sin, it should be against one's beliefs or religion. Well, it is just too much to talk about religion and stuffs like that. Just don't do it if it doesn't fit your personality or other's..
I also won't like to discuss "Gambling and Religions of the world" here because it can turn into a horrible debate. I don't want to have a fight actually.

We all have different religions and know very well whether it permits gambling or prohibits it but does that really matter? How many of us actually follow our religions strictly? Only few maybe. Gambling is a harmful activity that is for sure and this should matter only.

Logically speaking, gambling is not a sin because when you gamble you only risk your money as a result you can only threat yourself so we can't say that it is a sin. But from the religious point of view there is a notice that says it is a sin and their reason is that money from gambling is not deserved.
bring religion on this kind field i don't think it's a good idea. keep your personal faith like religion rules and something like that privately. gambling itself should be done based on your own will and full of responsibility , otherwise it could turn harmful and destructive. overall i think gambling are not something that bad , yeah i mean in general.

Of course it is in general because none is perfect, and whatever the thing it remains relative and admits defects and qualities. Otherwise I think that if it is about sin or goodness, the majority of people will think about their religion, however I did not do that and I gave all the existing approaches.
Gambling is a sin or not, everyone will react to this topic first concerning to his religion. Islam and Christianity prohibits it and these two religions have the most believers. Bible warns about the love of money because it considers it a root to all kind of evils and gambling triggers money love. I also consider it a sin because it has destroyed lives of many people.

Perhaps religion considers gambling a sin, but for me it's just entertainment that helps to relax after a hard day's work, but on condition that I set a limit so as not to lose all the money.
If a person has some religion then he must abide by its rules and regulations because no religion teaches harm to the humanity or anyone. It prohibits such activities which can cause destruction and gambling has destroyed many lives. Its addiction has put some people behind the bars also. If someone does not consider it a sin, it is okay but honestly it is no way less than a sin.

Is there a religion that restrict gambling?? I am a Roman Catholic but there are no rules or regulations that forbids gambling using fiats or using bitcoin. I think what forbids it is the government. So when the government told the people that gambling is not forbidden, then it is not a sin but it is a crime.

Yes, rewarding yourself from a hard day's work is really something that oneself deserves. But if it will be a burden afterwards or something that will let you lose time to spend to some other things that are more significant, then it can be considered a sin to yourself.'

It is depend on the people believe. For me as christian, is sin.
For some people gamble is fun for them. can play together with their friends.

Relating it to religious beliefs most of them are treating gambling as a sin. And for the atheist ones it is not that really a sin but it is a form of entertainment where you can have some time to win. There are rich people that are treating gambling just a form of game and they just want to spend their cash for it. But for some people that are in need of money they are treating bitcoin as a source of income that leads to greediness and others thinks it as a sin.
As a matter of fact, it really depends on the faith of a person whether gambling is a sin or not but according to my definition of sin, gambling comes under it. Anything that can harm a person or cause suffering to any living being is an evil deed. Gambling is nothing different from it so as an activity, it is not the right one but still, it won't change the minds of anyone what we call it.

Then , eating is also a sin, drinking water is a sin, and working is a sin.  These things affect people negatively if taken excessively.  Gambling won't harm you if you play moderately and control yourself.  Everything that is excessive can harm people so in your definition, everything is a sin since you said gambling is a sin even if it is not played excessively.  Since playing gambling in moderation will never harm you nor can make you suffer.

In my religion gambling is a form of sin,but for me its not because i believe gambling is a risk and a risk is a gambping, gambling is not only in games because in our everyday life we risk we gamble in the challenges. Limitation woll do rather than think gambling as a sin.

Gambling is not a sin its an entertainment that all of us can enjoy, but when your intention is different from what is supposed to be then that would be the time that gambling becomes a sin.

Gambling becomes sin when you show some greed that can hurt someone, Some incidents happened this year in many casinos many people died around the worl simply because of gambling by this way gambling is cause of sin.

people keep talking about religion and this is not the right place to talking about that i think. we are all want to having fun here , and if you think it's against your religion norms then simply avoid gambling without have to throw the isuue publicly , keep it as your excuse why you have to stop and avoid it. we live in a lot of distinction. faith and point of view will never be the same as you wish. just do whatever you believe.

Gambling isnt really a sin at all but when the times you are already being involved on bad intentions or emotions like greed then thats the time it can be considered as sin and also if you do already commit bad doings because of it.This is why as a gambler or people who do play gambling we should really be responsible on his actions.

Depend how people believe... some people said gambling is exciting game.
some of them also said is sin.
That's how you will see the difference with people. It's what they believe and what they should respect. For me, it is an exciting game and it is definitely one of the things that I should learn to improve from. I want to win in gambling and having knowledge in certain strategies should help you improve your chances.
