I would say both are wise. They both have huge rooms for growth and they probably will. 5 years is a lot in the crypto universe they can have exponential growth during this time frame

I think it will be best to invest in both bitcoin and etherium, bitcoin was the first and many people are already using it, etherium on the other hand might follow bitcoin's track so if you missed investing in bitcoin back when it was still a dollar or less then you can still invest now and then half of that you just invest in etherium as the price is still not that high, by the time it shoots up say about 3 years then you already have that much profit from it. You can also do trading. It will gain you more profit.
I agree. Both coins are really great for investment. Surely because they both can give anyone a pretty decent amount of profit if they are willing to wait. But in terms of making money the fastest, i prefer etherium over bitcoin because etherium is much cheaper and is a much more volatile crypto currency. Which is pretty great if you ask me. Bitcoins are awesome too and can get you a much more greater profit. Only if you are in for the long term. So which of the is great. It only depends on your wants. But i suggest to get your hands on both rather than choose between two winning choices.

I think ethereum is the better investment for the future. I feel bitcoin has already seen much of its price rise whereas ethereum still has quite a lot of room to grow.
I'm not sure why you would think Bitcoin has reached it's ceiling already. But, I don't understand why you think Ethereum as the best short term investment. Bitcoin has it's drops and it's rises and has the biggest coverage throughout the news. Which means it's more susceptible to news causing the price to differ from each month.

i will stick in bitcoin, but if popssible ill cut it in half and both put an investment , ill just need to wait for a few months or years and im sure in a profit !

I think it's even wiser to do a personal research on the underlying technologies behind Ethereum and Bitcoin and then study the history charts of both currencies, this way you should be able to make your own decision on which of the currencies to invest in.

For me, personally, it would be great and wise to invest your money to BTC if your outlook is for the next 5 years. BTC's presence is known to very little percentage of the whole population of the world and we still hit $5.7k this week. Imagine what could be the price of it in the next 5 years if people start to buy BTC and use it in their daily lives. The price of it would soar onto new levels and could give you insurmountable profits if you'll start investing into it today. Just go long for BTC and everything will be fine

there are so many people advertising ethereum as an investment but it really isn't wise to look at it as a long term investment in my opinion only because they are advertising it. and the only reason they are advertising it is because they want to dump it themselves.
also as the other comment says, ETH has no cap! the law of supply and demand says it can not go up. as the supply grows and keeps on growing the price declines. you can see Dogecoin for a good example.

I think ethereum because it is cheaper than bitcoin. And we don't know what will happen in the next 5 years. If it double up its value the next 5 years then your profit is big.
I must say both are good investment in the next 5 years. As the value is continuing to increase and more will adopt into bitcoin. For me bitcoin and ethereum is always the best and it will keep stronger and will exists in the future.

Both are best as an investment as bitcoin is the king of cryptos and ethereum is the best altcoin and will rise much higher in future so its better to diversify your investments in both of them to get profits from both ends but in long term I think bitcoin will always be on top holding some best prices and it will be hard for ethereum to compete with bitcoins.

i am choosing bitcoin as my main investment but i have ethereum too as my second investment but the most investment i have is in bitcoin because bitcoin price will be increase too high and second with ethereum. if i have large amount of money, i will use it to buy more bitcoin and ethereum and hold it next 5 years because this two coins will be stay at the top of crypto currency.

Really there is no way to tell you which of the two is going to actually be better, since it's similar to comparing apples to oranges. Bitcoin has been around longer, bigger community, etc., while Ethereum is relatively new yet has an active dev team and is useful for a fair amount of different applications than just the movement of wealth that Bitcoin is, as an application. Ethereum has a lot of potential for volume-based growth but that depends on the growth of Bitcoin in the first place, there's too many variables and it almost always ties back to the growth of Bitcoin as a community and market.

Now I keep my money only in bitcoin, because I'm sure of it. However, the ethereum now also has quite good prospects. This is a new crypto currency, which now costs many times less than bitcoin. And if you buy it now, it is likely that you will earn a lot on it, as it was with bitcoin several years ago. The most rational I see is to distribute my capital in an orderly manner and invest some of the funds in bitcoins, and a part in the ethereum.

Both of them are the best and wortht for an investments. But in my opinion, Ethereum might take a while before lifting off unlike bitcoin that it's like it want to make another pump every couple of months.

Every person will give you different answer. It will make you more confusing anyway. Its depend on your favourite investment. For me i choose both since both of them now become stronger. We can split our money into more coin is better than just one.

I think BITCOIN will do
despite of its HIGH price value as of now the expected price will go above 5k Usd this late 2017 or early 2018

I would say to split your investment, Bitcoin if you want a steady growth and Ethereum if you want a fast growth but risky.
Bitcoin is the most accepted cryptocurrency as of right now, there is no sign of any cryptocurrency taking over Bitcoin anytime soon.
Ethereum on the other hand is revolutionary blockchain technology which may be used for many of future use.
TLDR;
Bitcoin = steady growth, less risky
Ethereum = fast growth, more risky
It depends on the type of growth you're talking about. If you refer to the size of the blockchain, yeah, it's growing fast Bitcoin is the most accepted cryptocurrency as of right now, there is no sign of any cryptocurrency taking over Bitcoin anytime soon.
Ethereum on the other hand is revolutionary blockchain technology which may be used for many of future use.
