bitcoin does not need to be a worldwide currency to legitimize itself. As far as enough people use it to keep things ticking over nicely, then no problemo. The closest we have to a worldwide currency is the usd.

To my opinion Bitcoin already is worlds currency because it's used everywhere where people have Internet connection so in theory it could be used in every country in the world without limits. But Bitcoin will never be official currency in any country in the world because it can't replace the fiat currencies and change the basics of worlds economies.

I think similar to the other posts. Bitcoin is not stable in its value. Another reason: transactions are not very fast. I am a little bit disappointed, since more countries seem to disallow bitcoin.

I think bitcoin can not be used as world currency because bitcoin value is not stable. This will make it difficult for all countries to make bitcoin as the world currency.

Can bitcoin be the world's currency?

I don't think so, Because currently there are 123 democratic out of 192 and all the leaders accepting one currency can't be established because everyone vary in their point of view and having a currency at word level means power in the hands of few people which can later on exploit the people according to their wish. So bitcoin or any other currency cannot be at world level because it is nearly impossible for every country leader to have a same point of view and to agree with each other.

Can bitcoin be the world's currency?

Why not? We are in modern days now and people wants to have one currency and so that transactions can be done easily. For example, if you are a traveler and you don't want to have some hassle by converting your dollars into some local currencies because the value are changing due to inflation, market demand, stock exchange and other stuffs. But if you have bitcoin and it's widely accepted, it's a good travel right?

For me , there is possibility that this will happen, why not?. But government itself will reject this maybe, because of tax. Bitcoin can be world currency maybe after 10-20 years from now. We cannot predict it, since it is decentralized. But for now, we need to keep our bitcoins , earn and hold it for the future.

Can bitcoin be the world's currency?
I do not think bitcoin will be the world's major currency, because every country has special rules on its government. bitcoin has its own role with the popularity of bitcoin can be used in all countries that have internet services for the special purpose of making it easier for its users to make transactions.

Can bitcoin be the world's currency?
Actually Bitcoin has become one of the world's currencies, If indeed it has formed a consensus between Bitcoin users and governments of countries in the world. because bitcoin has a certain value, and bitcoin that is not affiliated with a country in my opinion is very likely to be used as world currency for trading. Without any affiliation the influence of a country's circumstances to the value of Bitcoin would be so minimal that Bitcoin would be more stable in its exchange rate

In my opinion if all countries accept bitcoin and starts using it. Then it may happen that Bitcoin can become a common currency like Euro, and that helps in the easy financial transactions between two different nations.

Can bitcoin be the world's currency?

Some are believing and some doesn't believe. I'm realistic with things that has the possibility to happen and I'm pretty sure that bitcoin has a chance to be the world's currency. It's not even specific if it will be a world economy currency, like agreed by each country that can be used globally. The hint is already in our front, that bitcoin is being used by most of us with our transactions globally.

Maybe in distance future it could be. We still don't have world currency. World should be place with one government, totally globalized first so we could get a unique world currency and I don't know if it ever will happened.
Bitcoin is close to what we epitomize as a world currency as you could send anything throughout the world without any hurdle, you really do not need to convert bitcoin in exchanges right now,all you need to do is send the money in bitcoin anywhere in the world and deals can be done quickly and that is what a world currency is required to do and bitcoin does that,so why the distant future when the future is here. It's impossible for this to happen, governments will never let it come this far.
And if some government does want to go the crypto way, they can issue their own crypto, which they can actually be in control of.
