Well, i think it's risky. But isn't the market in general about risk? Life itself is risky. If you see a good coin and you think the project is really good, don't stop your self from investing in it because the coin isn't listed in the top 100 coins. Make sure you have studied the coin and it's not scam, buy as much as you can, and wait for your money to grow.

Hey what do you think, is it risky to buy crypto currencies that are not top 100? I mean do you have a higher chance to lose your money or not?
Yes, it is. But. Top 100 it's just number, One coin can be in top 100 today, and will be in a top 200 tomorrow. All your actions in the crypto world is risky, dude.
All, what you can it's to analyze market and try to chose correct.
This is main things when you are going to investment.

investing in the top 100 is already very risky, there are coins in which I am sure that the team will not deceive us, but the price can fall and not rise for a long time, and the farther from the top 100 the more risk increases.

Whatever you are buying in here are all packed with risk so you better make up your mind. Whatever is it that you are trading there's no hundred percent possibility for you for a guaranteed win. What i can advise you is to do research and reading for whatever coin you are deciding to buy. Learn from them and subscribe from their telegram channels or their announcement thread here, With that it will be a very big help for you to decide if you will be buying or not.

No, the risk is not measured by this method. The risk depends on your own knowledge and information. It doesn't have much to do with the coin itself. If you are a long-term investor, it is better to choose the top ten coins.

Ofcourse i am. There maybe a lot of ICO that are scam but there are also legit ICOs that are being managed by a reputative managers and the team. You are definitely going to lose your money of you will invest a project which doesn’t have a good platform. It depends on you anyway, if you are not going to study the project first before investing.

yes it is, but every cryp investment is risky, even if it is on top 100 or even at top 10. there is no percentage of how much you can earn or lose if you invest, because there's no one who knows when the market will increase or fall.

Yeah, I think that it's very risky if we buy crypto currency that is not 100 top crypto currency. I personally would buy a type of crypto currency that is only 20 and above. I judge that the crypto currency that became the number sequence of many has a little public confidence. Honestly, I am a person who is afraid to take big risks because I am not ready if I have to lose large sums of money. I am just a fighter who is still trying to finish the family economic situation for the better. My advice, you should not buy crypto currency that is not the top 100 because the crypto currency is difficult to make a profit. The crypto currency has almost no public trust so I'm afraid that the crypto currency will be extinct because it does not have a place in the market.

I think the rank of a coin isn't important as much as the project's reliability, a lot of long term investors search for good project with low marketcap because they know that these projects might bring very high return compared to the others. The point is to check all other factors that increase the potential of it.

It's risky to invest an existing coin that is not above 100 because you can not be sure if they can still raise the price, But if you recognize the potential of many projects then you can make a lot of money.

Buying unpopular coin are to risky process, cause there are lots coins that's scam, it would be best if you take more time to read there specified white paper and figure out whether the coins has potential, or it can last in a long run. There are some last in the line coins that make profit depends on how smart you deal with it, and most of them are short term investment, but those are too risky procedure the might loss your investment in just a light error, in fact investing in a well known currency must proficient. actually most of the currency are risky but not just like a top 100 list on coinmarketcap.

Yes, because there is a good chance that those cryptocurrencies would be a scam. There is also a chance that the underlying project behind the cryptocurrency is not that good, which means the project is bound to fail.

It is one of the rules in investing to only invest in top 100 or top 10 to be more precise since new coming coins are risky in their potential to run when the project succeeds.

Nope. There are coins which are not even in the top 1000 list but performing well. The potential of a coin is not based on the top listing and the top listing is fixed as per the market cap and not by the growth of the particular coin. I have seen some coins which have recently came into crypto market is performing very good and competing with other coins in price rise even when the crypto market was in bad shape. I strongly say that the coins potential is based on their own capability and not with the listing in different sites.

In a bull market you would be fine buying coins which are outside of the top 100 but in a bear market I'll be very cautious. As many projects end up failing during the bear market due to lack of funds and interest from users. You should stick to the top 20 coins during such times as you can't go wrong with them.

Buying a top 20 coin isn't a guarantee for success either. Bitconnect was a top 20 coin even though we all know what happened with that. Actually all type cryptocurrency is risky though they are top of 100 or not because all remain risky.
