if I believe that binance  exchange is also still safe if you do more of your assets in it, because I also believe that it's still safe you can benefit in Altcoin trading.

Hey.
Is it safe to exchange big amounts on non-custodial exchangers like changelly or shapeshift, or are they designed for small transactions?
I'm a newbie and I want to know if it's safe. Also, I want to know if it's safe to exchange crypto on classical exchanges like binance.

From my experience, It's not safe to exchange big amounts via any type of exchange be it Non-custodial or custodial. I prefer exchanging in batches, you might never know what could go wrong at any given time. Exchanges like Binance could be tagged trustworthy but they're not immune to hacks or phishing sites etc. Same with the Non-custodial exchange like the ones you highlighted in the OP, they too have their flaws.

The fact that your device too can be infected with malware with the ability to changed bitcoin address is still another reason not to trust any service provider with a one time big amounts fund.

I do not think there is a problem  exchanging big amounts on Changelly or shapeshifts as long as you are able to handle the charges and also have a cold storage wallet to send the coin to

Before using Changelly you better read this https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/changelly-illegal-exchanger-from-russia-with-fake-team-5034589 it's not the only one, there are at least 5 reports about Changelly don't exchange large amount here, better to be safe than sorry, there is are much better and trustworthy exchanges like Binance and Kucoin but you need to undergo KYC for exchanging big amount.

If you want to exchange huge amounts for cryptocurrency or for fiat money, then of course to protect yourself and your investments, then of course it is better to use popular exchanges where volume is much larger and safer you can do exchange, so you can look at different cmc top exchanges and find for yourself a suitable exchange where you can make an exchange without problems and be satisfied that you have chosen the exchange with the top volume.

Using binance exchange in classic mode is safe, because the classic mode is only for display only and the mode is very helpful for those who use devices with low specifications, so there is nothing wrong with the classic in binance, you are still safe to use it, both exchanging in large or small quantities.

better go to high-rank exchanges to be safer.
But you also need to remember that safety is not just about the exchange!
You also have the part of it to make if good transaction.

First of all we have to know how do you exactly define "big amounts" ? For some people a big amount is 200$ for others 10k $ aren't really big Wink I personally avoid such services as much as i can cause fees are way higher compared to the most exchanges. yes its easier, but if you really exchange big amounts you can save a lot on fees.... Cool

If you want to trade with a large value, you should use exchangers who already have a good reputation such as Binance or Huobi or other large exchangers. I think the transaction fee that we pay is also small, besides that I think it's safer

Neither of the two are really safe if you ask me. But comparing these two options the first list ones nowadays ask for KYC for larger exchanges and might even stop you from taking your money out if you dont give them your KYC. I still remember those days when we cloud easily exchange coins at market price using SS but I have stopped using it long since then.

The safer alternatives would be to sign up on an exchange that uses your local currency for fiat and get yourself verified there with a spare bank account. Be sure to check the exchange first about problems face by users and all. Another option is to go for p2p trades but always use a trusted escrow there specially if you are doing a big volume trade.

If you really have large sum of money, I recommend that you use Binance. That's the most reputable exchange that you can get out there. If you don't want to trade there for some reason, try Poloniex, it's a trusted exchange and have great volume too.

The more reputable an exchange is, the better.

How big is that big amount, if it is hunred of thousands then I advise you to go for a trusted exchange like Binance or Kucoin, and not a noncustodial site like Changelly if you are going to exchange a few hundreds you can proceed, but Changelly has a lot of bad reports be sure you are doing a research on that two exchange.

I do think there is no problem with exchanges like Binance when you are going to exchabge big amounts there. But if you have high doubts, why don't you divisede the amount into two or three transactions to further be sure that something will not have any problem at all. Though I do trust the said exchange but the hesitations exists especially when we are engaging huge amount of funds here. Or maybe you can actually send message and ask question to their support before proceeding to your plan.

The answer will be no way. If you want to risk your money, then you can go ahead but if you are getting a scam, don't blame other people because you make a mistake.

It is not safe to send a big amount to any of exchanges because we don't know if they can protect our account or not. Although they can, it still not recommended to save that money in the exchanges. It is better to save in your private wallet and only uses some amount to trade in the exchanges. Binance still safe until now, many people recommend to use binance, and I guess you can use it too like them.

It is safe to exchange any amount provided the trader makes all the necessary checks in order to ascertain the correct receiving address. This is necessary because a verified transaction is apparently irreversible hence cross check on the receiving address and once the trader is through with this, any amount can be sent intact.

There's a lot of accusations about Changelly, on the scam sections better check it, you might encounter problems, and I don't recommend exchanging big amount right away if you have not yet done an exchange on that exchange, you should only try a small amount, and research for reviews.

trading in a centralized exchange that has a large trading volume is good, but for security issues, there is no guarantee that all systems will run 100% safely, after you trade on any large exchange, you can save your money or buy stable coins or buy Another altcoin with a large amount and keep it in a cold wallet.
To see a large trading volume on each exchange, you can visit coinmarketcap

According to my experience it is safe, but among those exchanges it is the safest for a larger exchange. We recommend that you don't store assets in one exchange, as the saying goes, to be safer not to put eggs in one basket. Trade assets across multiple exchange such as Binance, changelly, Huobi, Bittrex and others.

Centralized exchanges are still being attacked by hackers, even Binance has been hacked this year. But they had a contingency fund for that. So I think If you trade on the top big exchanges you will be safe.

Big exchanges have strong financial potential and they always have a huge investment fund to support all their customers so if you choose large exchanges you won't have to worry too much about Hacking problem. I have been in the Binance exchange for the past 2 years and everything at this exchange is very stable and I believe that If you are a new investor, you can join Binance exchange in the safest way
