I think your right about your current market overview and the altcoins market has always been that way as one that is very unstable and still highly volatile. And I think uts been manipulated my investors with huge capital to pump prices and cash out when it's high, to be safe just invest for quick profits, its unreliable to invest in altcoins for long term, since they are very unstable, I would t also sell the idea of taking short profits, u less you can time the market and take those profits at the right time, which i highly doubt, what I think everyone should be more focus on now is buying more bitcoin and trying to build up his portfolio for thos bull run, bitcoin would hit 100k or even more thsi year, so I guess the profits would later top that of the altcoin market.

I know the OP is older and if the OP had bought coins at that time, he/she could now be in good profit. Yet even at today's price there's high chance that you would make a profit, crypto always has been a growing sector and if you are smart enough to keep taking profits, you won't be trapped on the next bear as after each bull comes a bear.
There always are risk on investing but yesterday (OP date) was a much better time to enter the market than it is now.
There are still some alts that are low priced and could be the next big thing in future.

It still is, in fact, all kinds of investments will always be risky no matter what, I'm pretty sure that risk is never going away when it comes investment and the thing that I believe everyone should do if they can't stop investing in altcoin is for them to be doing research on what altcoin they're going to be investing first before doing the actual investing, you're better off knowing what the altcoin promises to do and learn about the development team behind it and what's their vision for that altcoin, if they somehow pass those criterias that I've mentioned then you can finally consider them as a good altcoin to invest into but remember altcoins are a really risky investment and even if they feel like they're going to grow in value, remember that it's not 95% of the case.

Investing in alt-coins is a very risky business at anytime, because anything can happen in alt-coins, because most of alt-coins can be dumped, even in the Bull Run market session. But most of them are very good profitable business all depends on the alt-coins you're investing into. And secondly, what matters in alt-coins investment is the entry point of buying that determines profits of exit point of selling, so do your research before investing in any alt-coins.

Although the top 20 coins are trusted enough but not all of them are safe for investment. We must avoid choosing stablecoins for investment and we probably won't choose meme coins like Dogecoin and Shiba Inu. Yes, Ethereum is safe for investment, it is one of the most recommended coins for holding. The first choice should be Bitcoin and the second choice is Ethereum. I also think that only these 2 coins are the most recommend coins for investment. Just look the marker caps, they are always in the top 2 from year to year. It means the demand of these coins and the popularity of them are quite stable compared other crypto coins.

Ethereum and bitcoin are certainly the least risky to invest in, but the profit can be much less than from other projects. I think it is better to do research on other projects and invest part of your deposit in them. I am sure that some new projects will be able to repeat the success of solana for example.

Even now, bitcoin has increased and some altcoins followed through. However I still think it all depends on the coin you are investing in. Ethereum is closely similar to bitcoin in the sense that Ethereum is not as risky or volatile as other altcoins in the mix. So, investing in ethereum for the long run is preferable. However you have to monitor your coins closely and decide whether they have the potential to gain more when Bitcoin does.

Certainly, Ethereum is truly one of the most reliable cryptocurrency with massive growth potential and un-matching features. It has recently demonstrated impressive price moves, however I am convinced that its true potential is yet to be reveled. it has yet to show its real color.

Filecoin (FIL) also appears to be an under-valued considering its practical use case, and it seems an attractive investment at its current price, recently it has entered into agreement with Solana network to work together in AI sector. This is very positive development and can be beneficial for both Solana and Filecoin.

When Bitcoin will fall small as traders are taking profits altcoins will dump very well and I think that'll be the perfect time to pick up some good altcoins with strong fundamental like Ethereum and the rest. I don't want to list them but I have some altcoins that I'm monitoring and waiting for them to fall in price as they're too high now. It's always risky to invest in altcoins as you don't know if they'll be able to give profits. Some altcoins after investing in them you'll keep losing money as you bought them when they were very high.

Altcoins are risky investment, they are very volatile and this is the reason you shouldn't be over investing into them, if you invest all your money you won't be sure if you can recover back your investments as some altcoins don't pump with the market. Invest an amount that if you lose you won't get frustrated, you can trade altcoins for profit due to their volatility as you make profits when you buy when they dump.

waiting for dip suited for those that tries to go all in with their investment but people can just DCA and will be fine they only need to wait until bitcoin hits all time high and thats it.
but indeed the profit will definitely can be gained easily with just by waiting for dip and then go all in but the risk also increased with that path.
so far the key thing is that, those that got the right timing to invest, as well as patient enough to wait until the market turns will be the one thats victorious at the end of the day.
i can't sweat about how many people out there actually making much more money by just going against the general psychology at the bullrun when people are worrying and instead they just go all in waited until at this very moment and cashed out successfully with 10x gain.
