There are people that find investing in alt very attractive from profit point of view, believing that the value of particular coin will increase so so much. It's easier to imagine that something with the price of 0.3 dollars goes on, I don't know, 500 dollars for example, than to see how bitcoin climb on fifty thousand dollars. Maybe it is the best decision to invest in bitcoin but there will always be people with different vision, especially if there is wide offer to choose.
Although it is always good to buy bitcoin and specially in such a low price but I think that there are so many other altcoin which are trading in low price but still they have good potential so low investors can also keep and hold such coins which have good potential. I think that Etherium price is also trading low and even if a person will hold Etherium they can also get good profit from there.

The point is altcoins are falling much stronger and it is not given or set in stone that when we start to rise again (or rather, if we start to rise again), altcoins are going to follow Bitcoin's lead. Personally, I'm certain only of Litecoin's imminent success as it will likely even outperform Bitcoin, while the rest of the pack will be slowly grinding behind, if at all

I have specifically mentioned Litecoin as one (probably the only one) altcoin worth investing in. If you had looked at the date of my post, you would have noticed that it was written a little over a week ago, and a few days after Litecoin rose like 40% or so in just two days. But even before that, around a month ago in this thread I was telling folks that Litecoin seems to be the most promising altcoin at this point (as far as the term "promising" is applicable to this market)

I dont know why youre so mad at ETH and other altcoins considering ETH is the strongest altcoin recorded now and labeling it as cursed coins. Putting your resources into different markets is the best way to expand your profit. You should put some on altcoins too. I know there are many scams, but the top 10 altcoins isnt part of it. You should realize it before its too late to invest.

lately, I also think that it's better to hold in the form of bitcoin compared to the altcoin for now. however, I am still thinking about the right steps to arrive at that stage. Seeing the progress of the altcoin going up is quite high, making me think of selling the altcoin that I have at a high price and exchanging it for bitcoin.
We can not say that Bitcoin is the only true coin, and that only it has the right to exist. It will be the same as calling the dollar the only currency on the planet. There are a huge number of other cryptocurrencies that are unique and useful in their own way. They all have the right to exist

It is not like it is granted by default to every coin after it is created. So far the only utility (uniqueness and being useful in their own way) that the majority of coins revealed was usefulness for speculation. But since you can short only a selected list of altcoins, this usefulness disappeared as soon as the market had started crashing. They may brag about anything, but the market evidently knows better

You cannot be surprised if people are mad at ETH as many people have lost their money with the scam projects being started using the platform and since majority of the scams are using the platform to carry out their business the reputation of the coin changes with it. I really do not consider it is a currency, every one can have their take on the subject. Some of the interesting projects are TRON which has the potential but yet a penny stock, the rest of the coins are priced a lot higher to accumulate in large numbers. When ever the price of bitcoin goes down it is always a good time to enter for the long hold.

I will not advice that we should sell all we have in altcoins and tokens and convert them to bitcoin as there are many coins that are going to do well than bitcoin in future.

The time experts were advising people to sell was like some kind f joke and those who took the advice seriously, are enjoying their profits.

the first thing you should look at is the condition of coin prices such as ethereum, bitcoin and some other coins because if you sell assets that you have at a low price maybe it will only make you lose, you have to be patient and don't sell your assets too cheaply.

If we think bitcoin will go up then most likely answer is to keep the altcoins because when going up altcoins go up faster whereas bitcoin goes up slower so there is no point on keeping the money on bitcoin
That's not a given
Obviously, for the majority of altcoins it was a one way ticket to the graveyard, so whether Bitcoin rises or falls, they are going to die anyway. But it is not only them as even top altcoins are unlikely to outperform Bitcoin long term. How come? If Bitcoin is set to rise in the future (which is not a given, either, just in case), most likely it will be due to its real value expanding (as opposed to purely speculative value). But in these circumstances we shouldn't really expect altcoins to rise as much as Bitcoin (let alone outperform it)
This system works amazingly when things are going low. Think about it, check out all coins that dropped in the past year and check out bitcoin, bitcoin is really the only coin that went down this much, all others went down a lot.

IT needs to be only your decision, but remember that it is better to buy BTC at these levels rather than even on 6,XkUSD or ETH on 300+USD.
I would continue to hold btc, Eth and few other coins so that have the mix of everything and this also diversify my portfolio which will help me in the new future as I will not be depended on just one single coin. Also as it is said that do not put all you eggs under one basket.
ETH is a good coin but these days we will see fud that ETH is a failure and we should sell it. This is because the whales want us to sell the ETH at lower prices and they will buy at these cheap prices. Remember ETH has a hardfork on 25 Feb, so it's price can pump near the hard fork.
Also a lot of token runs on ETH chain and therefore it makes it a very useful coin.

i thought eth fork had already been cancelled ? you did said that eth will pump after the hardfork but why you are suggesting that we should sell our eth's ? i agree that whenever theres a fork , the price of a coin can also pump but you we should act fast because the pump cannot last a long time due to sellers will also sold thier hodlings to be able to gain a profit just like you .
you also said that eth is a useful coin on which i also agree with it because i can also see and feel it . we must not dispose our eth with that said no matter what happen . if we want to buy other coins , then use other cryptos or use fiat to buy them . basic
