The four hours is the worst part of the requirement for people that lurked for months beforehand. I wanted to make a post in the discussion board, but by the time I'll get the four hours, it'll be too late since I only spend a about ~20 minutes a day here. The five posts are really easy to get.
The 4 hour restriction is kind of silly. I spent probably 50+ hours lurking this site before creating an account, but have to leave my account logged in for 4 hours just so I can post in the auction threads 
It's hard if you're in a hurry to post outside the newbie forum.

The fact that you need to create a newbie status in order to avoid scammers and spammers is an interesting commentary on the community.
Actually, the fact that there are spammers and scammers in this community gives it more legitimacy.
I'd be worried if my chosen currency doesn't have any.
