It's never too late to invest crypto, there is always an opportunity to get profits up to 10x, the point is we have to be able to choose coins that have the potential to skyrocket (new listed coin) and of course it takes courage to lose.
The right moment to invest, is when the market is in a "bloodbath". In other words, you should invest into altcoins when they're in their All-time-lows. Your best bet would be to pick prominent altcoins like Ethereum and Litecoin. That way, you'll be able to multiply your investment quicker than you've ever imagined. This is because, such cryptocurrencies tend to increase exponentially in price within any bull market. Investing wisely by analyzing the market, and doing your own research about an specific crypto's development team, would allow you to stay ahead in the game for years to come. You should pay attention to mainstream media whenever you can, in order to see the latest happenings of crypto within the mainstream world.
Whenever there's negative news related to crypto, prices start to decline massively. And once there's positive news related to crypto, you could expect the whole crypto market to rise exponentially within the short term. It's as simple as that. But be aware that not every altcoin is good for your pocket. Some of them are extremely hyped without delivering true development or use cases for the mainstream world. Others are just speculative instruments with no future (like Dogecoin). If you play your cards right, you'll be able to survive in this highly-volatile market for years to come. Just my opinion

Agree that indeed most people have actually been investing for a long time. bitcoin decline trend that occurred since 2018 signifies that is when many people start talking about investing in altcoin when it is the right thing. and will benefit this year. the fact is that this year the conditions are also not so good 
I think this bear market is a perfect moment to invest into the Altcoins. They have suffered of big dumps and during the next bull run they may skyrocket. In particular the latest altcoins that have been added or are going to be added on Coinbase. Among those Altcoins I think the one with the greatest potential is BAT which make a great use of the social media and social contents.
Another altcoin I really think has a great potential and i just recently believed in it, is Tron. If we look at the number of active DAPPs is now the first network, has overcome EOS and ETH. In fact, there are also many interesting new projects which use the TRX platform (EVEN similar approach to BAT).

altcoin is currently in a downward trend in prices, but in all decisions to buy or not altcoin certainly have our hands, I personally see that now is a good opportunity to invest my money in several altcoins because I am very confident if 2020, is the year of the rise of altcoin, remember halving day will occur in May, so, it is not wrong to buy altcoin and save it for long-term assets later.

Just make a proper research on the support and resistance level of the coin, study about its 3 previous month chart and then you can project on the next type of coin and when to buy it in order to maximize profit from it

It's up to you to do your own research about a specific cryptocurrency's development team, and ambitions. You can choose the most prominent altcoins on the market that are bound to become a rock-solid investment for years to come. One way or another, a bull market will re-emerge allowing you to profit massively from these cryptocurrencies.

If it were to me, I'd invest a small portion of my earnings into the top cryptocurrencies on the market every week, while the rest will be put up into Bitcoin itself. But of course, you must proceed with caution when investing into crypto as they're extremely unpredictable. All in all, as an investor, you're the one who determines the right time to buy altcoins. If you believe that right now it's the perfect opportunity to get into the market, then it's your decision. Just my opinion

There's no coin in the crypto market thats very expensive as you said cause all the coin in the market are experiencing the current dump in price and this current market trend is the best time to accumulate more cryptocurrency but I rather accumulate more bitcoin than altcoin cause every utilized altcoin will follow the bitcoin trend when it halving.

I decided that I would buy Altcoins at the current price and allocate 10% of my salary for this investment. I analyzed the prices of coins for 1 month and I see that they no longer fall, as they fell before.

It's no secret that the ICO boom has come to an end. This was largely attributed towards SEC's actions over the past years. Without massive demand from investors into tokens or altcoins, prices will decline massively across the crypto market. The new trend seems to be IEOs and STOs but that hasn't taken off in the same way as ICOs did back in 2017. Given that most altcoins don't have real use cases for the mainstream world, I'm afraid that Bitcoin will continue to soar towards new ATHs in market cap over time. It wouldn't be surprising to see Bitcoin remain as the top cryptocurrency by market cap within the not-so-distant future.
In the end, most altcoins will die because of their lack of usability within the mainstream world. Only a select few will be able to survive because of commitment to deliver true development and innovation for the world. Ethereum is a good example of an altcoin that will survive for the foreseeable future. All in all, this is still the right time to buy alts as they become cheaper like never before. Just my opinion
When you posted this thread that is the best time to buy Alts because this month of crypto is the price of some Altcoins are increasing and if possible you can still buy now cause the price is still increasing as i type this post.
