Maybe for some people, investing in altcoin will give big profit. Can't resist it because altcoin sometime move in percentage is higher than bitcoin. But personally i will agree if investing in bitcoin is a good idea because it is safer.

Agree. The level of uncertainty of crypto, makes us think twice before investing into specific cryptocurrencies. Altcoin prices seem to become lower each day, while Bitcoin has remained within the $10,400 - $10,500 range. Its market dominance has been rising slowly but surely over the past days, which could be a result of market manipulation. This makes me believe that Investors and traders are selling their altcoins in exchange for Bitcoin. This activity results in a lower price for alts because of their lower demand across the market.

Right now, most altcoins are in the red, while Bitcoin is green most of the time. You could take advantage of the situation by buying more altcoins the moment they become cheaper across the crypto market. Your stash of Bitcoin will prove to be useful for obtaining large quantities of alts at the lowest price possible. Once the bull market begins, you could sell prominent alts like Ethereum and Litecoin in exchange for cash or Bitcoin. But be aware, that a wrong decision here or there, could lead you towards bankruptcy. Only actively developed and maintained altcoins, are ideal for your investment. You should perform your own research before making your moves based on hype or other's opinion. Once you do that, you'll rest assured that your investment will last for a very long time.

Nonetheless, it's still the right time to buy alts as most of the market is in red. This opportunity for profit may not last long, as institutional investors come into play and ETFs are approved by the SEC. Which is why it's best to become an early adopter of the most prominent altcoins in existence before it's too late. Just my thoughts

Not to trivialize altcoin which is very good, but I don't see the importance of investing in altcoin right away.
actually it's better to invest in bitcoin because seeing the development of the ups and downs can be enough to meet the benefits for the short term which can produce good profits.

Yes, now is the right time to invest in ALTCOIN. Currently, the price of Cardano and Stellar is very easy to reach, and will be a very good choice for investment. Continue to be patient until the price is pumped again at the highest level, You will smile sweetly when you get a large profit.

Of course this is the right time for us to buy altcoin when the price is cheap but of course we also have to always be prepared with all the risks because even now altcoin has no signs of going up again in the near future, so of course by buying altcoin now we must be ready and patient in holding it for a long period.

- I think right now it takes a lot of courage to buy altcoins because most altcoins have turned to a red signal, and red represents an accident, a market crash, and there is no end time and change in this situation, seriously, we can only wait for things to automatically return to normal. It can be the right time to buy altcoins. But nobody really know if the down trend is finished. We can see some resistance from some altcoins to not fall down more. But some altcoins are still falling lower now. It is like people  are still trying to maintain the dominance of bitcoin to near 70 percent.

There's some minor recover now for altcoins compared to last year, 2018 for me was the best year to accumulate altcoins as BTC that time dip to over $3K only. When they buy, they need to convert their fiat to BTC, but now BTC is over at over $10,000 so it's quite high already.

However, I'm not saying it's not a good time to buy anymore, of course, it's still on the accumulation phase since altcoins are still cheap, but we need to ensure we are ready to hold it longer as this market is not guaranteed it will rise after a long bear market.

It's difficult to judge. Have we hit the bottom for alts in price vs BTC? I suspect that the next rise will start off led by BTC again, so we may see alts drop a bit further in BTC price. But I think longer term it is very likely that we will see an alt recovery.

So now is probably a good time to pick up (high quality) alts, but maybe not quite the very best time.

Maybe on that kind of altcoins you mention its have some potential of it from the future must better to hold it for a long time if we want to earn more profit the altcoins we hold. Actually there are so many potential altcoins that we need to buy or hold for a long time but we need to time and search for them on which altcoins it is.

The aforementioned altcoins are the ideal ones to invest while prices are this low, in my own opinion. They've been proven to be quite resilient over time, with a large number of supporters behind them. My top picks would be ETH and LTC since they're one of the oldest altcoins in existence. Ethereum has been proven to provide secure and efficient smart contracts for the world, while Litecoin has been considered by many people as "silver" to Bitcoin's "gold". With every halving event on the LTC blockchain, it's hoped that it would become more valuable over time. That doesn't seem to be the case nowadays, since crypto is still in a bear market. But rest assured that once everything settles, major cryptocurrencies like LTC and ETH will skyrocket like never before.

Other altcoins like XRP and XLM are a great investment too, considering that they have partnerships within the financial industry. IBM is heavily backing the Stellar blockchain, while renowned banks are backing the XRP blockchain. Considering how prominent both cryptos been within the past years, I'd say that they're perfect as a long term investment. Right now, these altcoins and other major ones like Ethereum and Litecoin are cheaper than they've used to be back in 2017. Investing now while we're still in a bear market will allow you to gain greater profits in the future. It's all a matter of time and patience before most altcoins skyrocket bounce back towards their original prices.

Nonetheless, if the crypto market is in the "red" then it's the perfect time to buy alts. Once the whole market goes "green" again, you can sell most of your altcoins for Bitcoin or Fiat. In effect, you'll be earning much more money than a Bank account within a short time frame. Just my thoughts

YES if you are looking for a long term hold like 3-5 years from now. Its really hard to catch the very bottom of a certain coin but if you are looking for long term you can apply the DCA rule or dollar cost averaging which is very effective in any type of investments.

I like bear markets because I can buy altcoins in bulk because they are very cheap.  Perhaps this is the time when you store a lot of altcoins to prepare for the market coming back.  I firmly believe that the history will repeat, the time of altcoin will return again.  Please wait patiently for the good news. 

funny how time flies by and how alts are again on a good position to be bagged... of course it might still take some time until the alt christmas, but there are so many promising alts out there that it will be worth the wait...

True FACTS. Only buy tokens that has mvp that  are in beta or alpha right now. Though, I will warn other fellow traders here to stay away from gaming tokens because I still don't see them delivering having only one game and their prices and volume are the proof that even big whales don't want to touch it. The project also should also have a huge devoted and active community and the price is in a good condition.
