Yes paypal is very strange. I lost many $$ due to their 180 days limit luckily we have bitcoins now to avoid problems.
I think if you were to obey the rules of paypal and do not violate tos from paypal. of course they will not do freezing and limit on your account, I was 5 years using paypal and I'm still comfortable
to me i personally have no idea about it. in fact i never use payopal in my life time and the only reason is that the service of paypal is not present in my areas. i think paypal will not be scam because so many people are still using it and so many online shops are also giving the facilities of using paypal of payment method.

That's right. But, the ToS from PayPal itself sometimes just too strict that couldn't make us justify ourselves even if we've done a fine transaction such as cryptocoins transaction which I noted was done without any scamming activities involved.
I've experienced on using PayPal too and have decided to get away from this service due to its complicated requirement.

PayPal is alright to use if you don't own a huge business. Once the person makes over $5,000 per week or close to it then they will start asking questions and before you know it they will freeze the PayPal account.

This type of thing happens quickly, once PayPal shuts down an account the limitation lasts around 3-4 days if you have a legit defensive claim. Once the case is resolved you've already lost around $2,857.14 from your business being paused.

PayPal are crooks.

They are not scammers, they have high fee's, there is some strange rule's, depending from country where they operate, and there is always unsatisfied customers. Just because they have bad review from some people doesn't make them scammers, that is just need to be warning for others to read even small letters before they sign up for something.
Correct, the thing that bothers me the most out  of Paypal are simply the ridiculous fees you need to pay , that is why bitcoin seems like the best option right now to send money no matter where you are since the fee compared to paypal is still way lower.

If you're ebay seller then you should know that ebay sellers have very hard time selling products as they face lots of chargebacks and yes paypal fees is very high which makes sellers to earn very little profit.

I remember selling a few things on eBay. After all of the fees I came out with such a fucking horrible deal. I lost money on it, badly and the asshole never even gave me feedback! I hate the place as a seller. It's so buyer friendly but if you sell you're completely fucked.
It is very obvious Paypal has decided to cater the buyers and let the sellers suffer but that is where bitcoin shines since there is not the possibility of chargeback, that brings another kind of issues but some of them can be resolved by the use of escrow.

I don't think so. Right now as far as I know if you are a re-seller or seller in Ebay they don't pay taxes as it classifies them they are selling there personal items and don't classify it as their business. As you can see the fees in Paypal is considerably lower than any form of taxes. Sellers in Paypal get away as much burden in selling there items in Paypal.

I think if a payment is not the most reliable on the internet to be a scam. it would make normal people say save your money on the internet, be very costly. but, I believe, paypal is not a scam. Well, I do not use paypal, but, at this time, which is able to compete with bitcoin, only paypal. so, I do not think that it would be a scam.

I don't think they are a scam because if that is true, then they wouldn't have grown to such a huge in an online payment system. As long as if you follow there terms I don't think you will face any issues because I'm using PayPal for almost 13 years and so far never had issues with them. I have done many transactions from big to small amounts.

I lost money many times due to charge backs even I've all the proofs paypal decided many time in buyers favor. Now I'm using bitcoins as payment no problem with it so far that's why paypal was not good for me.
Did you try to accept payment as friends.?
I heard that they can not reverse the payment if you are paying as friends or family like other said but never tested it yet..
I am also afraid right now to be scam.. buy this method.. many people are dealing with me in other forum..  with bitcoin.. they are still scamming even in paypal using reverse payment..

Did you try to accept payment as friends.?
Yes. but it's still reversible.

wrong. You can claim unauthorized payment. If you receive personal payment and get charge back not only you loose money but also your account get limited too.

Only option with dealing with paypal is to use middleman (escrow) when dealing on forums. Always say truth to paypal to win dispute is the only option to win dispute.

Not at all times especially in the buyer's perspective. Supposed that there was escrow and the deal was all went well but after a couple of days, you encountered problems with whatever digital good that you bought (thus, got scammed), you can't dispute the payment since Paypal cleared out that digital goods aren't included in their Buyer's protection policy.

And even if it weren't a digital good: If you dispute it, you'd have to explain that the payment from the person you're disputing payments from is just an escrow and another person was the actual one who scammed you. A lot of explanation have to be done.

tl;dr: The use of escrow in Paypal only gives advantage to the seller while not using an escrow allows the buyer to claim that it was an unauthorized payment.

If paypal is a scam then why other users or even the concern citizen didn't file against the paypal. It doesn't mean that if you encountered a problem on paypal or their service doesn't reached your satisfaction then you can call them scammer. Nope, that is not how the market or online markets work.
Most people thinking like that are nothing more than clowns. I am sure that a lot people here that talk down on PayPal in favor of Bitcoin haven't used PayPal at all.

PayPal serves its users exactly how they want it, which results in a constant growth of their user base. At this point PayPal has over 200 million active users.

That's quite an impressive number. Bitcoin as we speak has probably around 2% of that in users. In that case there is a lot catching up to do for Bitcoin.

A good opinion, I agree. I'm sure paypal is not scam, paypal's already vast range of businesses, many banks and credit card that gives the appreciation on paypal. And we must know that the paypal transaction is greater than the bitcoin.

For 3 years that i used paypal way back before,i will say that  Its not a scam ,cause i have not encounteted one to say that paypal is a scam. Paypal is the  most secure online bank  before till i met bitcoin.
I agree they are really secure but I feel that PayPal is more secured compared to bitcoin I may be wrong it's just my opinion. But yeah paypal is perfect for all the consumers or buyers it is really risky for the person receiving the money as paypal will do anything to help their users get their own money back even though sometimes buyers maybe cheating.

Problem with a lot people that keep complaining about PayPal is that they haven't read PayPal's TOS which clearly indicates how they operate and what they expect from their users. I understand that people don't want to bother reading through entire pages with plain text, but I am sure that if they knew what they could expect from PayPal, that they either use it anyway and just accept it without complaining about potential annoyances, or they choose to use another payment service.

Paypal is not a scam but if you are using it to accept payments then you must be aware that at some point you will need to send your info to them since they need to apply know your costumer policies, to this day I never had a problem with paypal since I only use it to buy things and not to sell.
