I haven't tried to use PayPal but I don't think that they are going to scam their users they might having some trouble or problem with their services, PayPal is already a wide company and there are many people who are using PayPal so that they are having a hard to serve you and response to all of you simultaneously or maybe they are just having a little maintenance ? well I don't know I have some Friend who bought a Laptop using his PayPal so i think the service is normally operating right now .

Well, I don't really know about Paypal I just saw it in some online shops that the items that you purchased can be paid by Paypal. Then when Im clicking that button the amount turns to Dollars. So for me Paypal its not a scam because some or maybe mostly online shops are using it as one of the method of purchasing products.
I am sure this is just the issues, many think that paypal is a scam, remember paypal official companies and large. The value of their transactions in one day could be tens of millions of dollars.
Yeah, why some people saying that paypal is a scam despite many are using it and most of online shop accepting paypal. i have a paypal account and eversince i didnt get any problem with dealing with them.

i do not think that paypal is scam because we know that paypal is a biggest service and paypal was very famous before bitcoin and now a lot of people are using bitcoin for online shopping because bitcoin is more available in everywhere than paypal for online shopping .
Im agree with you overall Bitcoin is better than paypal because the number one issue of paypal service is their fee its more higher than Bitcoin.And the second one Paypal is not easy to use unlike Bitcoin.Absolutely, Paypal is not scam, but after Bitcoin became popular, it got easier to transact with no fear of getting my account freezed and high fees, and get wrongly disputed. Paypal is also tough to fund in few countries. But sometimes transacting via Paypal helps as it is much secure and faster.
with their reputation and recommended by many people, i don't think paypal will do this as they survive until now and reach the most members that use their service. most people select paypal because the security for the account is good and can give protection for the member. beside that, many country that allow paypal to do their business and paypal itself like a bridge between the buyer and the seller in e-commerce. so in this circumstances, i think paypal won't do it unless they want to get losses of their members.

Most of the complains were actually similar to the one that I have. I thought Paypal is a credible company but now I have started feeling worried about my funds stuck in the accounts.
I don't think paypal is a kind of company who will scam people, or cheat them just because of money. Although paypal is very strict to their rules when it comes for the documentation or valid id for verification to there clients. It doesn't mean they have lots of complaint they are scam at once, no its not like that. maybe it is only the clients react due to their policies was very strict. this is just only my opinion

Paypal is definitely not a scam. The problem is that they don't haven't many customer service employees so solving everyone's problems takes them quite a long time. They sometimes freeze people's accounts for no reason, but the issue normally gets resolved. I have been using paypal for quite a long time now, and I have not come across an issue like yours before. They do have relatively high fees, but they are not a scam. The scams only occur when people start charging back things. That is a big problem with paypal and it is the reason a lot of people have stopped using it. paypal is good company

paypal already made 17 years ago. and until now paypal still survive and become one of the number one payment method in the world. so I think you should not be afraid to use paypaluntil now paypal still runing and not scam

PayPal may not be scams. They have earned their reputation for many years. They simply have some difficulties right now.

I agree even if there are some issues with paypal but it still remains a good foundation in the business world. Issues or problems with subscribers are normal and it's part of their business to fix or resolve their issues with their customers.
I am also confident that the problems at the time of the payment system. PayPal may not be scams, there is no reason to think so

Although I still have a Paypal account I can't recommend them.
Most of what you're reading on those review sites is actually happening. They are known to freeze people's accounts as they please and it has happened to me before when I was accepting donations for a community forum. What is most outrageous about account freezing is that (at least back when this happened to me, approx 2009) they actually ask you for (or to put it more correctly, force you to hand in) a photocopy of your passport/ID card. I have since tried to avoid Paypal whenever I can. There's also massive chargeback fraud going on via Paypal on Ebay, but I would rather not like to get into that topic, it's just too annoying.
I am done with Paypal, once for good. My account is open since 2007 and verified since years. Recently they limited my account due to the European laws and so they are asking me some administrative papers, card ID, ect... I have no problem with this european law and agree with it. But it is the 3 rd time in less than 9 months they ask me this same thing again and again. And this verification has already be done years ago without problem.

The validity date on my card is expired but the card is VALID, Gov implemented a law long time back to incrase the validity of the ID card create until a certain date. So the id card is valid but in they eye of paypal the card date is expired so not valid.I wasted my time on phone with them explaining this but look like they never trusted it...
I shouldn't have to pay 70$ to renew my id card and wait 5-6 weeks to get it, just for having my paypal account verified... for the 4th time... I have still 2 months to give them a "valid" card otherwise....otherwise i don't know....

Paypal is not a scam of course but once we compare it with bitcoins, its look like a less user friendly service than the bitcoins. Bitcoins are easy to setup with no hassle whereas you need to fulfill requirements before entering into Paypal.
